Cashing in a lotto ticket... When I was at the Los Angeles County Fair last month, one of my lotto tickets was a winner! I had gone to a convenience store one night when I remembered to cash it in, but payouts end at a certain time... The next time I remembered, we drove to this Lotto Store at Primm Valley Lotto Store. It's located towards the back of the Outlet at Primm. Just keep driving around the loop, and you'll find a parking lot with many parked cars. Inside the clean store, there was a long line of customers. There were also many vending machines for scratch cards and beverages. I appreciated the convenient restroom! After getting through the line, I got my cash and drove off... Woot woot! Thank you!

I mean it's a Lotto store what all can you expect from it. It's super simple with lotto machines along 2 walls and different denominations available up to 30.00 a ticket. There is a line where you can cash in the tickets as well. Expect to see it full of baby boomers and everyone minds their business. I do see a lot of men come and stand by their women very protective so not sure if people steal from others here. There was a sus guy standing by door who I thought was security but he had regular clothes so he's a little concerning. To be here is a no more then 10-15 mins. If you want to know ambience think of it like walking into a check into cash lol

Located at the end of the Primm Valley outlets which is off the 15 fwy coming in or leaving Las Vegas. This store has all you lotto needs you can cash your tickets here or buy your tickets here for all the lotto games. They also have a sleuth of lotto scratchers machines to buy your scratcher tickets all various prices. They also have restrooms as well. Overall a nice stop if you wanna get your lotto tickets or scratchers.

Decided to come here after thinking about playing the lottery all week, it's a quick 35 minute drive for me from Henderson, that is as long as traffic is not backed up to California (I don't recommend coming on the weekends if you're trying to avoid traffic) They do run out of a lot of the cheaper scratch off ticket options, so if you'd like a better selection go elsewhere.

I had no idea this existed until I got here. A friend came to buy scratchers and other lotto tickets. Since jackpots weren't high, not a lot of people and no line. Still a good amount of people. Lots of parking since it's next to a mall that looks closed. Inside there are scratcher vending machines and various windows where you can walk up and buy the lotto tickets. Actual humans who put your playslips through the machine. Nothing fancy, but it works. I asked my friend if anyone had ever won lotto jackpot by buying tickets here and she had no idea. Just a good place to stop as you're driving into Nevada.

I know. I know. Playing Lotto is a fools bet. You're more likely to get hit by lightning twice than winning the lotto. With that said, if you don't play yo don't win. If you live in Lad Vegas and you want to try your luck this is the closest spot to buy the Ca lotto. It's located on the Buffalo Bill side of the freeway at the edge of the parking lot past Taco Bell just on the other side of the CA border. We waited about 10 mins to get inside and another 20mins to purchase our ticket and walk out. The next closest spot for Lotto is the Shell Gas station on Cima rd.

Leaving Las Vegas you'll exit on 1. Approximately 25 min from Vegas and you've entered into California. Primm is the first stop where you can buy Lotto or scratchers close to Vegas. The parking lot @Primm Valley Lotto is crazy busy with a line inside to match.

Of course while in Vegas need to press your luck by driving to the boarder at Primm to buy some Lotto tickets . Although someone hit the power ball before I left Honolulu that's ok because the mega million would be nice too lol . Sorry fellow Yelpers I didn't win so I couldn't give you a few hundred bucks he he .

Made our way to the state line for some lotto tix!

My dad has mentioned numerous times that on his trips to Vegas he drives a long ways to pick up lottery tickets. I remember him waiting 2 hours and wondering what all the fuss was about... the day we had a visit there was no crazy wait. I guess the winnings just aren't high enough to draw that type of crowd, yet. I wasn't the driver on the way, but I think GPS did a fine job getting us there. It's right next to what looked like an abandoned mall... such a shame, its quite pretty. Very colorfully painted with diff types of art. Not the graffiti type. Really can't miss it. Lots of parking available. No shade or much else to keep yourself occupied. So if you're there during the crazy queues then bring everything you'll need for those few hours! There's a clean private bathroom but unsure if the door lock worked well. Inside the building along the entrance wall and side walls are ticket machines. Variety of different scratch cards and random number choices for mega, power ball, etc... to the left of the entrance there is a counter with all the tickets to choose your numbers & week selections carefully. Being from a state that has no gambling or lottery, I was completely confused. I waited in line and the worker explained everything I needed to know. I was able to purchase a bunch of scratch cards as well as bring number sheets back to the car to get some lucky numbers in privately. Unfortunately, the sign posted says everything is done up until 4:30pm. It was around 4ish when they decided to shut down the machines though. So we were only able to purchase 2 rounds of scratch cards. We got our chosen numbers in just in time thankfully! Theres an app to download and track your power ball and mega millions numbers. You still need to hold on to your actual tickets to claim price winnings though. For small monies you can mail in so no worries if you're an out of state visitor. The employee said they pay out up to $999 I believe. Anything more, they give specific instructions on how to claim. This was a different experience for us. I'm not a gambler and I don't have that urge to find crazy get rich schemes. I won't go way out of my way for scratch cards or lottery tickets but if there's something on the way I won't pass it up. This was just one of those, ya let's try it and see whats up, kind of things while on vacation. Glad we did it so we know what to look out for on our next visit to Cali!

Ask the Community - The Lotto Store

No one ever anwsers the phone here. What are the correct hours daily for this store in 2025.?

What do I do if I win a free ticket on a scratcher? Do I have to go back and stand in the line to get it?

Yes. But the best time for that is within the first few hours of them opening. Or just ask someone if you can go ahead of them real quick.

Do you have to wait in line if you're just going to buy scratch offs from the kiosk or is the line just for lotto tickets?

You'll have to wait in line to get in the door. Then you can go get your scratch offs

Are the hours still 10-5?

Yep.. You can always call they will give you updated hours..

How long is the wait for lottery tickets?

It varies. If the line is halfway around the building (like our last visit) expect a roughly 20 minute wait time.

For scratch ticket can u just go in or have to wait in line?

As of jan 3 2021, the line extends very far out. Looks like a 2-3 hr wait.

Are they selling scratchers yet? We were there in mid August and they weren't selling scratchers then.

We bought scratchers there two weeks ago. They dont open until 10am though

How many lottery tickets can you buy at one time?

There's no limit. Cash only.

Anyone have a update on when they will reopen?

They're open. Face mask required and children not allowed in.

Is the store back open?

Per the company it will reopen the 16th

They open righ now?

It says they're temporarily closed and will reopen June 15, 2020

Did they open for now or closed for covid19?

They are closed for now. We got tickets on Cima road at the shell gas station there. But you have to have a mask and gloves on.

I read they will re-open on April 15. Does anyone know if they've opened back up?

Still close....'temporary close'

Is the store open for business with everything shut down? Can they allow one person in at a time?

It shows the date on their business page, it's closed and TBD when opening back up.

Is this place in the California state line?

Yes

Yes, I'd like to know about Primm Valley lottery store? What is the address?

31900 S Las Vegas Blvd Nipton CA 92364. Closed temporarily for coronus 19 virus.

Is there an atm inside?

Yes

Are children allowed inside if you just want to purchase a scratch card? Thank you.

Yes. In fact, I let my kiddo pick them out for me.

Can't buy from scratcher machine when there is those long lines for the actual big drawings? Got to wait in the long lines just to use only the scratcher machine really?

The day we were there, they absolutely allowed people through the exit door, which is closest to the machines. Maybe it depends on who is managing that day? Also, there was a sign that due to volume, they will not allow redemption after 6pm.

I visited in June 2025 to see the Latin Legends IX concert and it was amazing! It's a large venue with a lot of seating that is very spaced out. I felt so comfortable and was able to move freely and dance! (There weren't people behind me, so I was good). :) Getting through their security set-up was a breeze, and there is a huge bar area outside the venue where most everyone was pre-gaming before entering. The staff I interacted with were friendly and polite. I booked my tickets seamlessly on Ticketmaster. I'd recommend getting on their email blast so you can check out their next concerts. I paid 100% in advance. I was picked up by the airport nearly one hour late. When the driver, Taylor, got out of the car a huge cloud of marijuana smoke came out with him. It wasn't a limo or town car but an older model, dirty Mercedes - perhaps 15 years old, very small with a tiny backseat. There barely any room for my carryon bag in his trunk - and I had to cram into the back seat because he had a dog in the front seat with him. Taylor was pretty spaced out and had trouble finding my hotel, the Vdarra. He was also unfamiliar with other Vegas landmarks - like the Aria, the Bellagio, Park MGM. I had to pull out my phone to help him navigate to my hotel. He apologized for being late and not having a town car or limo - but he said the limo had been locked up or repo'd and Peter was working to get it out. I was really worried that he lacked the competence to pick me up for the game - so after confirming he was the driver for the next day, I showed him that he should pick me up at the exact same spot he dropped me off at - and I explained it was critical that he wasn't late. I also reminded him a friend would be joining me, so we would need a bigger car or at least the front seat free of his dog. Taylor no-showed the next day of course. We called, texted, yelp-messaged and availed ourselves of every contact number we had. No one answered. No one came. After about 75 minutes of this we took a taxi. About 3 hours later, Taylor texted and said he was sorry - he didn't realize his phone was on vibrate and missed all of our texts and phone calls. He claimed he was there the whole time, however (he absolutely wasn't). Peter also yelp-messaged about the same time saying "Let me try!" and nothing more. He refused my requests to call me. After the game, surprise-surprise, they no-showed again. We waited about an hour and a half in the designated meeting spot with no response to phone calls or texts. Eventually, found a free driver to take us back to the hotel for $100. And again, with no surprise, they no-showed the pre-booked trip to the airport. Still no call or contact from Peter and team. While their rate was very competitive, this company is a clown act. If you must book them, absolutely do not pay in advance and I would never, ever, trust them with anything important.
