Due to working a lot of hours lately I have been off the Yelp review grid for close to two weeks. To get back onto the grid, this review will metaphorically refuel my writing skills. So, I will take a short cut by reviewing the Green Valley Parkway at Sunset Road Terribles/Chevron. Speaking of grid, this business is off the Henderson street grid just south of where the city merges with the unincorporated town of Whitney. Speaking of shortcuts, it is common to see motorists blow through the parking lot to avoid waiting at the traffic light above Green Valley at Sunset. This is the closest gas station and convenience store to where I have lived the last twelve years. As a result I have stopped here many times over to fuel up the five cars in twelve years that I have leased. The Chevron gas here is neither the least or most expensive. I believe the prices are the same as the Terrible's Chevron a block to the west at Sunset and Annie Oakley. What I like about fueling up here besides the convenience is that there is plenty of room to maneuver the vehicle and it is easy to get in and out of. For example if I am on Green Valley Parkway northbound headed toward Patrick Street, I can turn left onto Sunset Road with a protected green arrow then return to Green Valley via a traffic signal from the adjacent shopping center. This Terribles/Chevron is more than fueling up my car. It is fueling up my nighttime beverage of choice which is a bullet beer. Again, this is the most convenient convenience store near my house. The beer prices are competitive. Here are two examples using my beer of choice. 1. A 32 ounce Miller High Life beer is $2. This is 50 cents less than Walmart. 2. They sell two 24 ounce Bud Ice beers for $2.50. At Walmart a 24 ounce Bud Ice is & 1.75. Being that this is close to my residence, I sometimes stop here to use the ATM. With the ATM being inside, I am confident that nobody has skimmed it or waiting to rob me. The charges to use the machine are the norm. My two complaints about this Terrible's/ Chevron is that there is often one cashier. This causes a line. Waiting in line defeats convenience. My second complaint is that they frequently run out of the 24 ounce Bud Ice. This may not be the best Terrible's/ Chevron around, but it is my Terrible's /Chevron. For over twelve years it has served as the closest fuel station and convenience store to my residence. With that said, I shall return to the Green Valley at Sunset Terribles/Chevron. I waited in line with 6 others for the cashier who has been gone for about 10-15 minutes by the time I gave up and left. I just stopped in for something quick on the way to work but it was neither quick nor convenient. It's wild to me that the only employee can lock themselves in the bathroom for more than 15 min at 8:30 in the morning and management finds this acceptable. read more

What a Sketchy Terrible's. I know most of them can be, but this one always has something weird going on when I'm there. The young dude cashier was not friendly. Always someone standing around smoking weed outside the door, trying to sell you stolen goods. There's a morning cashier lady who is quite nice. Too nice to be working there. All of the towel dispensers were empty at the gas pump, so if you drip some gas on your toes or paint job, better bring your own. This one always feels dirty walking into it. Doors are gross and not cleaned very often. Will go to a different location from now on. read more

They have card readers at the pump, my card was compromised on 12/17 when I went to pump gas. My receipt didn't print. I wish I would have thought more into it instead of leaving. I want to say it was pump 7 or 9. Clean place though. read more

What a "terrible experience" for a simple oil change. Amber & Donald were both clueless, bullying and harassing me as a customer paying $117 for my service. You all recommend a new air filter, install it, and then forget to charge me, which added 25 minutes to my wait time because Donald doesn't know how to navigate the point of sale system. Then, he credits me another person's invoice, and then ended up charging my card twice, for two different amounts. They also forgot my 20% off coupon THAT I MENTIONED in the first place and give me grief for asking why is there no waiting room available? They used to have a customer waiting room that offered free coffee and donuts for paying customers, back in the day. Absolutely no customer appreciation whatsoever here. You both need additional training to call yourselves managers, in my opinion. One hour for an oil change that's supposed to be 20 minutes is unacceptable, to say the least! One star for customer harassment and incompetence, with a shout out to Leonel for keeping it professional and not joining into their taunting and bullying a customer to not come back. Don't worry, I won't be returning again and I'm a 15 year customer of this (090104 Sunset) Annie Oakley location, because of Amber being so unprofessional, unpleasant and rude. read more

It was a little confusing at where to enter, but after that it was breezy. They did a fantastic job inside and out, first time and will be going back. Had the outlaw carwash and left happier there then when I paid $35 for mobile carwash. People were nicer and BETTER job. read more

$30 a month for endless car washes! Only $30! Even if you only get 2 car washes a month - it pays for itself! Their car washes start at $17 a pop for full service. The people that work their are kind and helpful. I highly recommend this location for endless car washes. read more

Positive update to a couple of reviews that I've left over the past two years. My wife and I continue to regularly visit this location for the full service washes based on its proximity to our house and the VIP car wash club. We're very happy to see that the level of service here has now caught up to, and in some ways exceeded the rest of of the TH locations. To our benefit, the wait isn't long and the quality of the wash is now consistently great. Thanks to management for bringing this location up to speed, and thanks to the employees who work hard and recognize us by name every week or two. read more

This review is for the full-service car wash, not the gas station. I remember when I first moved to Las Vegas almost 7 years ago. This Terrible Herbst came highly recommended and the overall wash was sparkling clean. This place was popular and packed on the weekends. A full interior/exterior cleaning would take about 40 minutes. But times have changed. I don't know what happened over the years. Now, a wash takes about 20 minutes and it's not as busy as it used to be. The quality of their detail has changed over the years. I found multiple areas outside and inside my car that has been missed. Overall, a full-service car wash at this Terrible Herbst is not Fabulous. Prices start around $20 for an interior/exterior wash. A full-service car wash at this Terrible Herbst is quick. I'll give them that. But it's not as detailed as it used to be. read more

Terrible car wash. I wish I had video tapped the guy cleaning at the end. Didn't seem interest and barely wiped down. Keep looking over at the customers instead of detailing the car. He was lazy. Interior was vacuumed in the beginning so he didn't even have to do that! Console was still dirty. Paid for the gold cleaning too and tipped well. Learned my lesson. Never returning. Very disappointed that I spent $17 here when I could have done a better job myself. First it took them about 15 mins to notice I was standing there after I paid. Then their so called detailed car wash lasted about 5 mins. I asked to please vacuum well and it was sub par with crap on the carpet anyway. When I got my car I noticed water spots all over the front end and hood. Bird poop was still crusted onto my car. The whole reason I took it there was to get a good deep clean and get bird crap off. Guess they couldn't be bothered to spend an extra minute to make sure I got something worth the money I paid. Definitely won't be going there again and will just wash my own car from now on. $17! $20 something for the mid level wash and $30 something for he "gold mine" I thought they were kidding with these prices. But still just got the $17 wash for an exterior machine wash. Literally that was it! Lol yea they 'scrubbed' it before the machine wash, with hardly any soap. No vacuum,.. no air freshener or dry towel given. Still had insects all over my headlights and front bumper from the road trip we had previously taken. So disappointed at this place. Never again. I used to like coming here, conveniently located closest self serve car wash to my home. Stopped by recently since it was closed a few months back, only a handful of boys are open and it's just not operational as many of the features do not work on the selection knobs. I will not be coming here for my personal car wash I'd rather set up my pressure washer at home even for a maintenance wash. (This review is for the self serve car wash). Meant to buy an $8 exterior wash instead bought a $19 interior and exterior wash. They did outstanding work. Even went so far as to clean the individual seat belts. This was from a filthy car that had been driven across the western desert for 700 miles and was covered in dirt and bug slime. read more
