I'm down here in Henderson for work and I needed to fill up the big gas guzzler rental suburban my crew is driving. The hotel is near this Costco, so I decided to try to avoid the big lines and go there early. Great, no big lines, but still plenty of people pumping gas early. The station opens at 6 am and closes like maybe 9 pm, one hour after the store closes. Cheapest gas around and sure is less here than in California! Plus, if you have a Citi Costco card (doubles as a membership card), you get 5% off gas when you get it as a Costco gas station! I love they have those red and green signals posted on each pump island, telling you which pump on the island is available. You do know as well, that the pump hoses are long enough to stretch to the other side of your car id you pull in with your filler spot on the opposite side of the pumps. Just one thing I'd like is some windshield cleaning supplies, to clean while the car fills, but I guess that might slow the flow of vehicles ... sort of like when that big fat motorhome with a 75 gallon tank pulls in! read more

They've transformed it from a frustrating traffic flow situation into a well-organized setup with 32 pumps. While some of the pumps still feature the old stickers, it seems like they may have refurbished the existing ones along with adding new ones. Costco Gas stations are often busy with lines, but the wait times are not that long. I went to this one on Friday morning right before 9am and I was able to drive right up to an open pump. In fact, there were several open pumps at that time. I love the low prices of the gas at Costco and it's so worth having a membership; the 87 grade prices are usually 50-80 cents cheaper than the other gas chains around (at least, that's what they've been lately). Since they open at 5:30 during the week, that's when to go! There's no vacuum or window washing stations available and you can't easily walk in and buy your favorite sinful pleasure. I have loved Costco since I was a little girl. I would never not have a Costco card. This Costco is beautiful ...but their quality control is terrible and the customer service is very sub- par ( which of course is over all in customer service because no one wants to work, everyone is entitled and unhappy if they have to do anything that takes them from playing on tiktok or dating apps for 2 seconds). I would avoid this place like it was a black plague carrier. The parking lot seemed to be designed to cause accidents, and then the gas station caused that to increase a couple thousand percent. If you manage to park without getting hit, you then risk your life walking through the parking lot to get into the store. Doesn't matter when you go to this location it looks like Disney world. Get into the store past the card nazi and then walk at a snails pace as you weave through the mass of humanity. I got there before they opened once and hung back. There were over a hundred people packed at the door and even smacking carts against each other to jostle for position, and this was over a year after the water/toilet paper fiasco If you make it through all of that, you then slog back towards the register to wait in a line with at least a dozen people already in it. Someone should start a class action lawsuit over the accidents to get them to do something. Not only are they 1 of the cheapest places to get gas, they also have 1 of the best tiers of gas for your car (my husband did research on where to get good gas, and over and over he found that Costco gas is 1 of the best). I am a brand new Costco member as of today, and my first impression here of the staff's rudeness is having me consider refunding my membership. (Colleen specifically) I pulled my car the wrong way into the gas lane by accident, yes I am an idiot. Colleen notices this and starts shouting "sir! sir! this is a one way lane you have to go the other way. you have to go the other way." I apologize to her and say I'll move. I've already put my member card / credit card into the machine and it's ready to pump. As I'm trying to cancel it, she continues lecturing me like a child about how I cannot be doing this. She then looks at me and asks in the most Karen tone of voice: "so how did you get parked in here like this?!" I give her a quizzical look. I've already agreed to move the car and am seconds away from getting in my vehicle. This question serves no purpose and is only being asked to embarrass me. She then asks me again, and this time I explain that every other gas station I've been to you can pull your car in to match the correct side with the pump. As I'm getting in my car (and she continues lecturing me), I ask her if the transaction is cancelled. Because according to the screen you can just start pumping (and it'll charge my card). She assures me it's cancelled and tells me "to start it you have to click the handle, see?", again in a tone of voice like she's talking to a child. It's not that I think gas is flowing out... it's that I can see on the screen it's ready to start and will bill my card if the next person comes along. I pull my car to the other side, and she finally looks at the screen and goes "oh, you didn't cancel it!", and then cancels it herself. I have heard Costco is a very customer-focused company and I really did not enjoy my first ever impression being spoken to like a child. I did make a stupid mistake, but the way she treated me made me seriously want to never go back. It's not worth saving the 10 cents or whatever. The thing I like about Costco gas is the hose is extra long so you can easily pull it around to put gas if you end up on the opposite side of your gas tank. I'm sure you can make the same breakeven analogy for their $1.50 hot dog/soda too or their $4.99 rotisserie chicken. Everyday Costco will survey gasoline prices in a three to five mile radius. That assures their prices are always the lowest for their members. Its a big marketing tool to attract new members. Membership fees are a gargantuan profit center for Costco. They have over 90 million members. Do the math. LoL Costco buys their fuel from many different refineries. It is impossible to analysis which ones because they are intentionally blended. Preponderance of testimonies say they see zero differences in their car performances using national brands verses Kirkland brand gasoline. Costco also says their gasoline exceeds "Top Tier" standards by as as much as fives times. This means detergent additives included to fuel. Not sure how this gauge reads after blending, Yu-go periodically added Techron just for peace of mind. I have two cars both requiring premium grade fuel. One I have zero hesitation to fill up with Kirkland gasoline when its convenient. Yu-go will not on his "baby". Have yet to witness a Porsche, Audi R8, Ferrari or Lamborghini at a Costco filling station. As a matter of fact there's a group that tours in their exotics in our neighborhood every weekend. They refuel at only one station and its not Costco. Eventually diesel fuel will be made available. Best time to feed your car without waiting too long in line is during early opening and before closing. It's okay to use a cellphone; not an e-cigarette. This Costco Gas location probably serves more of the residents residing in the greater Las Vegas area, if I have to guess just by looking at the distribution of the current Costco locations in the 89xxx. But it also has more lanes to wait to pump gas at, so also guessing it too has had an expansion like the location in Summerlin. When I arrived here, it was super busy. But I got lucky and picked a lane that turned out to have the shortest wait time. So it wasn't too bad. Gas is pretty cheap. Only a penny more than the other Costco Gas location, but is also 10 miles relatively closer. So still worth driving out to this end of Las Vegas. But be careful driving in this area, I don't know if it is just the one motorcycle dude too eager to leave or the driver not paying attention before making a turn, which nearly resulted in accidents in the time for me to pump 14 gallons of gas. The line at the Costco gas station is usually long and I've waited for almost 20 minutes in the past, but that's because the people of Henderson know where to get the highest quality fuel at the best price! Being a Costco member has its benefits, and this is probably my favorite perk. I drive a truck and I am constantly fueling up between my daily commute to work and such. It starts to add up, so I like to save where I can. It's an entirely self-serve station, but there are multiple attendants constantly walking around ensuring that all members are okay while pumping their gas. This location is also very clean and well-maintained, never any spills or trash spotted here. A good feature at this gas station is the extra-long hoses which allow you to pump on either side of your vehicle. It's convenient for the folks who tend to forget what side their tank is on! Don't laugh, it happens to me a lot more than I'd like to admit! Keep in mind that the only method of payment is plastic. I love Costco gas and will continue to return here for as long as I am a member! P.S. Wow, only $2.49 for gas on September 5, 2017. If you are used to Arizona prices, this may be a little high, but there are places where gas is already almost $3.00 per gallon. If you get here really early in the morning, you won't have to wait in line. The only thing I don't like about Costco gas stations is that you can't wash your windshield if it is covered in squashed bugs. Unusually long line today, pretty understandable given it's the New Year weekend. It is one of the cheapest places to get gas. They are open as early as 6:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm. It's normally a smooth flow to get your place on a pump even though the lines are long. The first two pumps allows for three cars to pump at a time and the rest is two cars to pump at a time. For Costsco members, it's one of the perks that you get, cheaper gas. One of my favorite benefits is the gas nozzle pump cord, it extends long so no matter which side of the pump you park at, the nozzle, with its long cord will reach the side of your car where you put gas in. Pretty amazing g feature if you ask me. One of the downsides to the whole long line of cars waiting to pump gas is you don't see if a pump is out of order or not. The gas attendant does not inform anyone that a pump in your line or lane is not working. You just kind of see as you get really close to pumpingg your gas. By then, it's too late to switch lanes to be in a line where the pump is working. Never the less, it's still my favorite place to get gas. read more
