The gentleman were very professional and efficient. Due to COVID-19, they were doing things differently and I had to stay in my car the entire time they had to fix it up. The guy who helped me out, Alfredo, was absolutely awesome! He gave me a 15% discount on both my oil change and air filter change because I was new to this location, plus he gave me a coupon for my next one and an exterior only car wash. Excellent service! For a name like Terrible, they sure do provide excellent service. Although my dealership sends me oil change specials periodically, I still choose to go to this Terrible Herbst location. The employees I encounter are friendly, I'm in and out in a reasonable amount of time, and what I appreciate the most is when they go over all the things they filled up/checked/recommend. They're not really pushy when I decline service either. I think the last time I was in, the employee Erick gave me the rundown, all with a cheerful attitude. As for the free car wash with oil change, who could complain? They vacuum, run the car through the wash, and hand dry it afterwards. You have the option of upgrading the carwash too, but I usually just go with the free one. Make sure to tip a few bucks at the end! Went for an oil change and air filter. The tech quoted a price and I agreed and went in to sit down. Then he comes in and says that it's going to take an hour for the air filter to get delivered from another location. I had time so I said ok I'll wait. So the tech leaves and later comes back and says the manager said they would not order it because it's just one item. I asked the tech if they were in busy to make money or just turn away business? I don't get it. Still baffles me. Later the manager comes out and says something about deliveries are made on Wednesday. I just agreed because I was so irritated at this point from the stalling and lies from the manager and the tech. I needed up going to auto zone and buying and air filter myself and installing in less than 5 minutes before which is what I should have done the first time. I wish I could give this location zero stars. I was harassed, and the company did not view my case with any weight. I went in for an oil change on Friday, March 29. The employee that helped me took down my phone number (and possibly my house address) for his personal use. I received numerous phone calls and texts from him. Additionally, he found me on my Facebook and Instagram. I contacted their corporate, and it took them an entire week to reply. I received one "apology" where the man from corporate simply said, "sorry this happened to you". No apology on behalf of the man that harassed me. To be more in depth, when corporate called me, the man helping me asked for a detailed story of what happened. I began explaining and halfway through my explanation, I was interrupted and asked if anything that was said to me was "sexual". I responded no and then was told that this situation technically does not count as "sexual harassment". I was not calling to complain about a case of sexual harassment, but I called to complain about my private information being taken and used for the personal use of one of their employees, which I feel is still a case of harassment. And this should also be a breach their privacy policy. They did not handle the situation well, and I wish what happened to me was taken with more seriousness from the company. If you need an oil change, go elsewhere. Save yourself the headache, and do not go to any Terrible Herbst location in Las Vegas. Because even though this incident happened at the location on Sunset and Annie Oakley, their corporate for the entire company will not take your case with any empathy or gravity. read more

Stopped by yesterday afternoon for a routine oil/change/lube job. There were cars in the bays ahead of me, but I was somewhat happy because they seemed to have an abundance of service techs -- sometimes 4 or 5 hovering over (& under) one vehicle, so I figured things would go pretty fast. After a few minutes waiting just outside one of the service bays, I was greeted, told him I was there for a standard oil/lube service, and while we were still waiting for the vehicle ahead of me to be finished, he did a walk-around of my car to check the various lights, scanned the VIN, checked my air pressure (alas, they don't do tires filled with Nitrogen), etc. After about 20 minutes (and the car in the Bay ahead of me was already there & being worked-on when I pulled-up -- these guys aren't exactly ready to be NASCAR Pit Crews yet...), I finally pulled into the service bay & the real work started, while I sat in my car. It turns out that the reason they had 4 or 5 techs hovering over the cars at times is because one or two of the tech were brand-new employees, still in-training, so they were being supervised & tutored by experienced service techs, who in-turn were being watched by a couple manager-types. They checked the oil, popped the air filter, etc. -- all the usual stuff that we all have witnessed & come to expect from oil changes over the years. In my case, I've probably been through this ritual as a customer close to 100 times now in the 30+ years that I've been driving. Which is why I am absolutely shocked and 24 hours later, still confused by what happened next... I casually told their lead guy that was making contact with me (asking for the mileage, "pop the hood," etc.) that I normally used synthetic oil on my car. No big deal -- it's common, I've used it each time in the probably 20 oil changes I've had done on this car over the years I've had it. He hit some buttons in the computer, then turned to me & I thought I heard him say something along the lines of "OK, so your total for service today with synthetic oil will be $197." It was kind of noisy, and though I was pretty sure I heard $197, I convinced myself that he *must* have said $97, which from my experience, was still way too high for a standard lube & oil job, even using synthetic oil, so I asked him to repeat the amount and he matter of factly said "$197" again. Now I'm thinking I've either entered The Twilight Zone & am in some sort of alternate universe, or that somehow, he'd also signed me up for a bunch of additional service like a radiator flush, tire rotation, etc. I'm stunned, but I confirm that he just has me set-up for their standard oil/lube job service, albeit using synthetic oil. I tell him there's got to be some mistake because the price is close to four times what I've been charged in the recent past at other places. He says something to the manager, the manager looks at the screen & says something back to him, and the response to me is something along the lines of "Well, that's our price using the servicing recommendations of your car's manufacturer." Understand that I'm driving a 5 year old Chevy car, not a Bentley, Lamborghini, or Monster Truck. I've had synthetic oil & lube services done at Chevy dealerships and other drive-thru oil/lube specialty places for my car in 3 different states over the past 5 years (never at a Terrible's before) & the cost has always been well under $100, usually about $50 or $60, so I'm speechless & clueless over this Terrible's Lube place trying to charge me $197. Still in a daze, I politely told them there was no way I'd be paying that much for a standard oil change service, and told them to use regular motor oil instead. Now I get informed that because that violates my car manufacturer's recommendation (BS!), a special disclaimer will be printed on my receipt & I'll have to sign it. I tell them I will. I finally get the oil/lube service done, the cost coming out to about $48 (with a $2.50 "extra oil charge"), which I still find to be very high, considering they used regular oil. While the staff was always polite & friendly, they never cleaned my windshield or rear window as other places normally do, their receipt claims they Reset the Oil Service Indicator Light, but they never did that. I never got out of the car, and they never offered to re-set it. Now I'll have to take the time to look thru my car's manual & figure out how to do it. Not a big deal, *BUT* it's clear proof that they sometimes just check-off some of the maintenance checks listed on the invoice without actually doing the work. There isn't even any disclaimer on the receipt regarding the "not following maufacturer's recommendation" BS about the synthetic oil, nor did they even have me sign the receipt, despite me paying for the service via credit card! I'd LOVE to understand how in the world this Terrible's Lube place quoted $197 for a standard lube & oil job. THIS TERRIBLE'S IS TERRIBLE!!!! read more

I don't usually like to do bad reviews unless I'm really bothered by a business' service. The last thing I ever had done to my car was an oil change at this place a couple months ago. I usually go to the dealership for service and don't usually trust these places because they have a reputation for ripping people off. I've worked in the automotive and RV industry for years and don't know how many times we've had to fix a problem caused by any "quick lube" business. I've seen it all. I decided to go to Terrible's because I was in a hurry...last time I make that mistake! They tried to tell me the oil change on my Fiat 500 would be over $100. When I asked why they said, "All European cars use full synthetic oil." I laughed, I told them, "I've taken this to the dealership several times and was charged $50 for an oil change so I know it doesn't use full synthetic." I should have just drove away right there. A couple months later (now) I go to add washer fluid and noticed my hood prop bar is resting in a spot to the side. The plastic bracket that holds it in place was broken. This means they didn't properly secure the bar in it's correct position before closing the hood. Whomever did this didn't own up to their mistake because I'm sure it made a funny sound when they closed the hood. A minor detail, but now I have to spend money on (most likely) an entire hood prop as they probably don't just sell the bracket. You guys really are Terrible. read more

I took a chance and stopped here to get a quick oil change. I was pleasantly surprised. First, the entire process took less than 30 minutes from arrival. Second, the price was excellent. Third, you get a free car wash and fountain drinks/coffee just for purchasing an oil change. My service was done by Kerry, and I cannot recommend him enough. He was nice, knowledgeable, and didn't find things "wrong" with my car like other places tend to. Great experience all around! read more

Truly lives up to the name "terrible" . $30 for a dry wipe across the dash. The only thing that kept this from 1 star is the outside looked nice. Besides that, the cup holder was sticky, debris still on the vents and seats... I asked for my money back. The assistant manager offered for it to be redone, but it could have easily been done right the FIRST time (since I was the only car in the place) --so I declined. The low grade is for the self service car wash. Nothing to do with the lube, but there was no option for the self serve. Major beefs: no tire cleaner, cold wash water and very little soap. I thought this may be a problem specific to the location at Nellis and Charleston, so I chose to give them another chance. Nope...just as bad here in Green Valley. I don't recommend using Terribles for self service car washing unless the above beefs don't bother you. read more

I came in for an oil change early Friday morning. There were so many cars that were being worked on in the Self-cleaning areas that I almost didn't stop in for my service. However, I was greeted right away once I pulled up. They had my oil change dine in about 30-40 min! It's been a few months since my last service so there were a few new faces. They all had nice and welcoming attitudes. The best part about getting my oil change here is the free car wash after. Honestly, I can't complain about my experience here. I think it was the quickest line I've gotten in Vegas by far. Although there wasn't coffee offered or donuts like most places, it was clean and everyone was friendly. Now mind you not once did I ask for her comments or any of this I walked up to the counter to purchase a drink well my car was being washed and she went on to tell me a story about how she hates cops and wishes they would all die because they pointed guns at her sister the night before. I usually go to the location on pecos rd....for the price they do an ok job so that's why I go back. They are always extremely busy though. Today for example, it's Tuesday at 1:30 pm...why would it be busy right? Wrong! So busy! So I turned around and decided to choose this location on sunset. It was an excellent choice! The staff was very friendly and my car wash was so much better than the one I usually receive from the pecos location. I will continue to come here from now on. There is also a self service wash and an oil change facility on the property, and gas pumps and convenience store too. Took my car in today to terrible Herbst to get it cleaned. Paid for a sheriff wash and got my car back looking worst than how it was. How is that possible?!I'm honestly so disappointed in this place. I called to talk to some about my service and I got the manager JOE, I was very pleasant and let him know that my car was not cleaned very well on the inside. When looking further, my car had not been touched at all on the inside. I let the manager JOE know and his response was and I quote " I know who worked on your vehicle and he's old... he's on the verge of retirement and WE'RE trying to get him out of here.... Right before hanging up the phone on me. How do you talk about an employee like that? How do you treat your customers like that? Don't make excuses make it right. I needed new Catalytic converters and had Kerry install them. They did me a solid and were willing to do the installation with short notice. Saved me a lot of money. Service was fast and affordable. I wish there was a way to give this location a negative zero for their service (or the lack thereof) today. My mother made an appointment to get her car serviced. It was an 8a appt in which she even arrived early for. Marcos and Erick, who I thought would take of my mother's auto needs, dropped the ball so hard that it must have cleared 8ft down. They told her it was only for a diagnostic; shouldn't take too long. We'll give you a holler soon, they said. Nothing all day; no communication whatsoever from them. We called in the evening, spoke to another Eric ("the diagnoser") and they hadn't even diagnosed the car. We had to go up to the garage and just pick up the car. Oh, finally Darryl did call us back an hour after our call. The excuse they gave us for the lack of communication was that Marcos went to school. They made us feel unimportant and they didn't apologize. read more

I never left that place with the same amount of bolts in my skid guard and I never saw the same employee twice... the Annie Oakley crew is top notch they focus on their job at hand and I didn't see any employees wander over to talk about Saturday nite while someone was work under my flawless 4runner!! I highly recommend going here for all your auto needs- maintenance, repairs, whatever! The manager Kerry won't bullshit you and try to squeeze your wallet dry... And this is so nice because I'm a woman who knows nothing about cars or cost of repairs! I originally took my car to Carmax because my check engine light had come on. They wanted to charge me almost $200 just for labor and a diagnostic check!!! And I have an extended warranty! So I took it to Kerry, and he did it all for free! Which is what I thought most places do for diagnostic checks. It turned out to basically be a computer glitch within my system- which he fixed still with no charge. I've been taking my car to this location for oil changes for years. I've always appreciated their efficiency and honesty. Today, I learned that they offer many more services. I was able to have my brakes (pads and shoes) replaced at this location.. They have extremely reasonable rates (the best rate out of the 5 shops that I called).
