I've been coming here for several years. Over the past year or so, the employees act like they do…read morenot want to be there. Terrible customer service. They act like they are doing me a favor by taking my order. They seem miserable. Recently I've been going to other nearby coffee shops, even though I don't like their coffee as much. Also, there is often something wrong - heat out, their sophisticated coffee rig is broken. Hill Harper, please take note! It's a miserable experience.

The menu is minimal but mighty. I felt genuinely nourished after a vanilla bean latte, parfait, biscuit (Red Lobster-esque cheddar biscuits) / egg sandwich, and greens salad. The eggs were expertly fluffed how I like them. My friend had the lentil soup along with a tofu scramble on focaccia. We ate it all! The espresso was strong, you get real silverware and clayware/bowls. Wow! I was taken aback. And for what you're getting, the prices aren't all too bad. They could definitely be higher (don't make them higher ) I encourage any coffee shop loiterer, vegan/vegetarian, or city dweller, student, etc -- to try this spot. There are a wide variety of books in the room connected to the dining area, with book shelves filled with zines and art pieces. Also a stage? What goes on in here!? The first time I ordered an avocado, egg and cheese on a bagel and got egg and cheese on a bagel. Uber Eats refunded me $.83. Today I ordered a bagel with cream cheese (kind of hard to mess up, so it was safe) and a latte with white chocolate sauce and oat milk. Instead I got a regular mocha latte. Extremely bitter and unpleasant. I would definitely go back in person again to order so I can check my orders, but I will never order Uber Eats from here ever again.

I started with the spiced brown sugar latte, made with oat milk. Delicious and sweeter than I thought. Even though the menu is small and curated, I could not decide between the nosh plate, the biscuit brekkie, or the quiche, which was the special of the day. So I ended up with the quiche but added the biscuit and bacon - I did not want to miss out. The crust of the quiche was fine, but the custard-like filling was divine, more like a savory crème brûlée or flan. Service was quick and efficient. Our reservation was made for one of the predefined 90-minute blocks, so the staff was on top of getting and delivering our meals and bussing tables as soon as they emptied to make room for the next group of guests.
