Better experience this time. The food is still good, but this time the staff was great. This restaurant is super busy and with the amount of people that walk in and out, I realized that they just don't staff the right amount of people. But the staff are actually really nice and sincere and you just have to give them a break because they clearly are running around trying to assist everyone. This time I ate the happy hour food and the nachos were so so as well as the quesadilla. I recommend to not order anything with their chicken, it just tends to be super dry.

Came by for breakfast the other day while staying at the Doubletree Commerce. Being Hilton Gold, the breakfast buffet was complimentary, exclusive of gratuity. Started off with a made-to-order omelet which was okay. ...nothing special. OJ was okay. Fruits were pretty fresh. Again, the ambiance of the venue was better than the food itself.

Angel hair pasta with salmon. Salmon wayyyy overcooked. Flavors are just okay.

This place offers a good selection of food. I happened to get the angel hair basilica pasta with salmon. Though generous portions, the salmon was wayyyyyy overcooked. What a bummer! Like so dry. The pasta too was just okay. I know it had a lot of ingredients in it like mushrooms, basil, onions, sun dried tomatoes, olives and artichoke hearts but overall, the flavors were still just so basic and okay. I didn't find it that special. It also comes with cheesy bread. The service was great but the food fell short. The breakfast was way better! I got breakfast to go and got an omelette with different fillings. This was generous! With a side of fruit and toast. This was cooked well! I would recommend breakfast but dinner, try something other than seafood.

I haven't had the pleasure of having Breakfast at my hotel, since the start of my training. So I decided to just give it a try on my last day here at the Double Tree Hotel. There seems to be a great selection of breakfast, but service wasn't all that great compared to service I received during dinner last night. I get that it's an all you can eat buffet and I get that you basically serve yourself...but I had to ask twice for syrup for my waffles and it never came. I had to trouble a waiter fro more orange juice because there wasn't a beverage station to fill it for my self. There were more than enough people on staff and I came to eat around 8am, and there wasn't a whole lot of people. Everyone was dispersed through out the establishment, but there were more servers to accommodate the guests than there were guests to servers. So the food selection is your basic run of the mill buffet stuff. There's a bacon and sausage links tray, scrambled eggs tray, potatoes tray (that looked like small square shaped fries), and some mystery pasta/something. There is also a fresh fruit station as well as a cereal bar and small pastry section. There was also a chef station where you can request personalized omelets, pancakes or French toast. I usually like my breakfast hot, and don't really care for food that gets cold. So as I get my food and pick out the sausage, bacon, square potatoes and scrambled eggs, I wait a good 10 minutes for someone to come to the chef station, but no one comes out. Several servers see me and I even as the pretty lady, "is this where I can make an order of French toast?" After waiting a little over 10 minutes, I decide to just skip the French toast and make my own waffles. It's kinda cool that you can make your own and the fruit selection or raspberries, strawberries and black berries were super fresh. But by the time my waffles were done, I tried to get syrup for them but the machine seemed empty. So I wait another 5 minutes to get someone form the kitchen to come out, and mind you it's not like there were orders placed for personalized omelets or pancakes or French toast! So I decide to go with out syrup and on my way back to the table, I politely ask a server for syrup because the machine seemed like it was out. She thanked me for letting her know but didn't bring me any even after I told her I wanted some for my waffles. By the time I was able to sit and enjoy my breakfast...everything was already cold. I didn't even finish my eggs or bacon because it just didn't taste good after sitting out. I didn't even go for seconds because I didn't want to go through the hassle of walking away to ask or request for something, then only wait a while and walk back to super cold food. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who judges an establishment based on the service and quality of food. I've eaten at hole in the wall restaurants while here exploring LA and I've been to some crappy looking establishments but service and food was amazing! I totally get it that this time eating at Tela Nova was a miss. I could've went to star bucks, paid less and got quality of food overall and better service...

Fish n' chips were very disappointing. They were all batter and no fish.

Breakfast bar was great! Hot food (pancakes, french toast, eggs, omelets, etc.) made fresh after ordering with the cooks.

Always treated very friendly here. The servers and bar staff are always great. The food can be slow to come out though.

Good breakfast spot. The coffee was decent and not watered down. They use real eggs. The food was fresh.

You convince yourself it'll be worth it because the experience will match the price. And to be fair--the food was good. But the service? Absolutely unbelievable. A $116 service charge just to be practically invisible the entire night is insane. We weren't asking for royal treatment--just basic attention. Our waiter came to our table maybe three times, max. Three. Times. The rest of the evening we sat there like background decoration, watching everyone else get acknowledged while we waited... and waited.

We had reservations for 7:30pm, arrived around 7:15, and were seated almost immediately. Our waiter was incredibly nice and accommodating, especially when it came to adding an extra person to our party. I know a lot of restaurants aren't always willing to do that, so it was very appreciated. We also mentioned it was my birthday, and they truly went above and beyond to make the night special. We started with an appetizer, but unfortunately I think it may have been forgotten because we never received it. I was honestly really excited to try it, but even with that small issue, I still wasn't disappointed with the service at all. For drinks, I ordered the spicy margarita and WOW--it did not disappoint It had the perfect amount of spice and somehow made the margarita even better. For my main dish, I ordered the ribeye with potatoes, and when I say it was amazing, I mean it. The steak was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, juicy, and not dry at all. Easily a 10/10. I was so full I couldn't finish the last piece, but my brother-in-law happily took it because it was just that good At the end of the night, they brought out a glass for everyone to cheers to my birthday, along with a candle to celebrate me, which was such a sweet touch. Everything about the night felt special and memorable. I honestly wouldn't have wanted to celebrate any other way. I can't wait to come back for another spicy margarita and enjoy the atmosphere all over again

We had brunch at Mandala and accidentally discovered Beso when we followed the music through the hallway. Suddenly we were in a full R&B dance floor situation and it was so much fun. The transition from brunch vibes to day-party energy was seamless and honestly the perfect way to keep the celebration going. Apparently you can also reserve tables inside Beso as part of the R&B brunch experience, which we didn't realize at the time but now that we know, that might be the move next time. The vibes were great, the crowd was fun, and people were definitely ready to dance. My only small note: I wish they had leaned a little harder into classic R&B. Whenever the DJ dropped the throwbacks, the dance floor lit up immediately which makes sense since most of the crowd looked very millennial. Give us the classics! Overall, we had an absolute blast and loved the combo of brunch at Mandala followed by dancing at Beso. It turned a regular brunch into a full Sunday day-party experience. Can't wait to come back and do it again.
