User I have been a customer of Terminix for 15 or more years. I had previously been with a highly competing company whose service I found was less than desirable. Since making the change those many years ago I have only praise for Terminix. I am very pleased with the level of professional and personal service they provide in keeping our home pest free. If there is ever additional service needed outside of our normal scheduled appointments, a phone call to the service center is always given top priority usually resulting in same day service. Our current service technician, Tyler Browder, is above and beyond an example of an outstanding service provider. His professionalism is only paralleled by his personal commitment to deliver excellent service and his willingness to add us to his schedule with a moment's notice. He demonstrates knowledge of the job and always completes his service with explanation of treatment and always always with a smile! Great young man! Personnel are friendly, helpful, professional & respectful of my property. Communications are very good for treatment visits. Their treatments have eliminated the problem I had with ants & roaches in my house. Also like that they remove cobwebs outside of my house. Even inspected my crawl space. read more

Asked for a one time payment. Ended up keeping my card on file and signing me up for a monthly contract they now want me to pay thousands to get out of. Terrible customer service and this business has no morals, just screws people out of money by getting their sales people to tell you something completely different. Worst service EVER!!!! Stood me up for my 3pm appointment--rescheduled for Tuesday (4 days from now)--never notified me!!

We got the total inclusion package for the year. They came out to treat the house and really just shoved some acidic metal cloth in random holes. Techs did not crawl in crawl space or attic during their multiple visits over to the house. They randomly place a few sticky traps and called this the inclusion service that is $1,300. When you call to complain and get someone back out they merely do the same quick runaround and leave then charged us for a visit, we were never given any bills or receipts, they merely just charged the card on file, when we were just trying to get them to fully do the inclusion properly. We tried to address the issues with upper management but we're always just directed to Eric who gave the runaround every single time. We just want a prorated refund because all in this company ripped us off of $1,600. Please do not even consider this company, it's all franchised so the corporate structure throws you back to the local franchise and vice versa until you get tired and quit. Called to schedule a Real estate sale pest inspection. Was scheduled for the following day between 10-12. Took time off work.. 11.40 and no inspector so call and am told he will be calling me soon with an ETA. Waited an hour with no call so call them back. Now I'm told that my appt was made with a MANAGER-who does not do inspections- but couldn't MANAGE to do his job and assign someone who could do it! Was told said "MANAGER" would call me to reschedule appointment. Said "MANAGER" never called and I have still not heard a word 3 days later. Wasted a day off work for NOTHING!!!!! Nothing but lies and terrible customer service. DO NOT USE. TERRIBLE. Intrastate are better by far and less expensive. read more

Just got off of the phone with Terminix customer service after I received a bill for $139.00. Apparently, when I used you for a flea issue in my home, your sales rep signed me up for a quarterly contract without informing me. Your customer service rep was "unable" to help since she "wasn't there" and she wasn't going to take sides. I have to wait two business days to hopefully hear back from a "business manager because customer service isn't "obligated" to give me his email address. Of course, the techs, sales dept, billing office and management don't talk to each other so that they can pass off the blame to each other without taking any responsibility or actually caring about the issues the customer is facing. I asked how many of these calls they fielded a day in her office and she said over 100. Your business practices are predatory and truly shameful. This review is for the experience I had with the call center representative when attempting to arrange service, not for service provided. A few weeks ago I had a sugar ant problem in my kitchen. I called Terminix to ask for a quote and got a very hard sell on their Quarterly Pest Control Plan. When quoted an exorbitant price of nearly $500 I told the representative I needed to talk to my wife and asked for a reference number so that I could call back. The representative insisted that he had my contact info and that he'd call me instead. I suspect representatives are compensated according to how many of these Control Plans they upsell. I went out to Wal-Mart and bought $8 worth of Torro bait stations -- they seem to have done the trick. read more

Had home inspected in February. Could not get anyone to call me back. Every time I was promised that someone would call me back from the local office. Never happened. Two appointments set up by call center that no one ever showed nor did anyone call. I called in yet another time on April 17th, (another no show appointment scheduled by call center), and got the same old tired story and they set up another appointment. Every time they try to call someone at the office they cannot get any response either. Not the call centers fault, but the local office here is to blame. What bugs me more than the bugs in the yard are businesses that can't deliver on what they promised. We called Terminix b/c of ants and miner bees that have taken over our yard. On the call, we were told that the technician would come out and treat our whole yard. Well, when the tech showed up he didn't have a clue as to why he was servicing us and did come prepared with the right equipment. "You want me to treat the whole yard?" he asked in amazement. Dude, what did you think you came to do, have coffee and shoot the breeze? Even the bees stopped buzzing to look at him stupidly. I read the bad reviews and I hesitated in calling Terminix, I called a couple of local companies and they don't work Saturdays...... What???? I guess it depends upon the technician you get, because the one that serviced our place, Nigel out of Richmond VA, was very prompt and professional. He traveled an hour to get to Williamsburg. He did a good job because all bugs are gone. Only problem I had was with the hard sell from the call center, I hesitated in giving my card number to her but it all worked out. Absolutely horrible, incompetent and maddening service. They come without advance notice, or fail to come and don't let you know they're not coming. The call center says they'll get back to you, and then they don't get back to you. You have to do the follow-up phoning; you have to chase them around to get them to provide the service you're paying big money to get. I have had service employees call me, lost on the road, asking for directions. They didn't even have a map. If they're this incompetent, what is the quality of the insect inspection they're providing? The employees don't follow up competently, and if there are problems, they don't fix them, even though you're paying big money for these folks' "services." There appears to be little to no flexibility in their protocols, and everything they touch gets flubbed up. They start bothering you for payments long before they're due, and they're always trying to upsell spraying treatments. One winter, a fool came and did quarterly spraying to create a spider / insect barrier; he was literally spraying the snowdrifts. I asked why it was necessary to come four times yearly to create the barrier, and he said, "We have to spray four times yearly, to keep the insect barrier strong." (Puh-leez. This is obviously just a way for them to keep their cash flow going all year round.) To reiterate, if you call them with issues and problems, they make notations in the computer, but then, the next year, the same problems occur. Every single god damn year. Also, if you read the fine print about termite damage, it is clear that unless you have an active infestation, the contract won't provide repair money; the damage may have occurred while you've had a contract with them, but unless the termites are still in the wood actively destroying your house, you're going to pay for the repairs yourself. This is what my examination of the fine print indicates. This is an anal probe of a business, and it assaults my sanity annually to have to deal with them. My experience was similar to the other negative reviews for the Richmond VA office. I scheduled my initial inspection on line, got both a confirmation and a reminder, and then no one showed up after I waited three hours. Who pays a large fee for a Terminix franchise and then doesn't utilize the scheduling system? Don't know what their problem is but I'm clearly going with someone else. read more

I have a Terminix contract, and about a year after treating the house with baits and liquid, I had a swarm come from the house! I was told that a treatment would be done the following Monday, but no one came. I was then rescheduled for about two weeks later and it was another no show. Today was the third scheduled treatment date and another no show. So far I have gotten no benefit from paying them for service. I have used Terminix for over three years, and am glad to know the house is protected from termites and other pests. The technicians call before coming, are on time and are helpful and informative. They even clean up all the cobwebs on the porch. Once a year they check the crawl space. read more

Horrible business. Have not finished or even tried to reschedule an appointment in 6 months. Now my bill has gone to debt collector. Terminix will show up on your property without consent do 1/3 of the work and then charge full price. They will rarely return phone calls and blame you the customer at all cost. read more

Constantly scheduling and rescheduling and not showing up. Finally had to get another contractor to do the work because we were spending hundreds to dry out the crawl space, only to have them not show up, requiring us to re dry the space for which they were to install a dehumidifier. Then they tried to make us pay for the contract they did not perform. Also, they did not do near the work they represented they would do upstairs and charged us the full amount. I had a scheduled appointment with Terminix at my house for 5-7pm. I get there at 445pm, open the garage doors and work around the house while waiting for terminix. At 6pm, I call customer support to confirm they are coming out, they confirm. At 630, i find a card they terminix guy left at the front saying we missed the appointment. He showed up, prior to the appt time, left the card, no phone call. I called him, he flat out lied, saying he was there at 5pm and no one was home and house closed up, garage doors also. I talked to his supervisor and his supervisor believed his rep was there and would not have him or any other come back out for my appointment. Terminix refuses to give you the local phone number of the local branch. I have called six times (to the national call center) to schedule an inspection for animals in the walls which are creeping out my tenants. I called the local Terminix salesman several times (he sold me my initial contract, I still had his business card) but no response. The call center will schedule nothing for less than two weeks out. They cannot even get in touch with their own local branch manager. SIX CALLS including one where they just hung up on me! The call center has no authority to supercede local schedules, to give out the local phone number, or to adjust my contract price for this inconvenience. Orkin, here I come! read more

This place lost my business to Orkin because they can't even show up to do an inspection the first time! I called and scheduled an appointment AND took off work to be home when terminix came. I get a phone call from troy a technician the night before my appointment saying he cannot make it out. So I had to call terminix back and explain that troy could not make it out and to send another technician because I already took the day off. The customer service rep said they would take care of it and that I didn't have to worry and someone would be there. NOPE!!! Noone came or even bothered to call me! So they lost my business immediately. Orkin came out and was very prompt and thorough with the inspection he did. He showed me pictures of the areas around my house that were infested and took his time answering any questions that I had. He even followed up with me on the phone after the inspection just like he said he would and even gave me $100 off my treatment plan because I asked for it. I called Terminix to schedule inspection. The day of inspection I had to cancel but did not reschedule. Exactly one week later the inspector calls and told me he was at my house. He said I had called back and rescheduled. I have no memory of rescheduling. . I was only minutes away. While on the phone he told me he was at my house and I had termites. I asked him if the painters (friends) let him in and he said no, but the painters told him I had termites, plus he saw them in the yard. I came right home and asked him to show me the termites. Well, apparently they do not like sunlight and he scared them off. He said he did not have to enter the house and he never stepped one foot in. . He knew already I had a massive infestation.He stated he had been working for Terminix for 20 years and he was an expert. He showed up 2 days later to measure the house and give me an estimate/contract. When I asked about the treatment and planning around my work schedule he said I did not have to be home, the treatment is just the perimeter around the house. But as I looked at the treatment plan it showed sites of treatment which were under the part of my house that had slabs and in the crawl space. I asked him how was he going to get under the house without coming into the house. My crawl space is accessed ONLY from inside. He then told me he just now crawled under the house through the outside crawlspace door. Knowing full well he was full of crap, I asked him to show me. I made him repeat 3 times that he was just under the house though his imaginary door. . Finally as we walked around he said, "maybe it was yesterday" , the finally when he knew I wasn't going to give up, he said "i think it was another house". He also didn't know my painters were my friends which never told him I had termites. I checked my phone records and I had no record of calling to reschedule the appt. He just showed up.. He was such a scammer. I am a single female homeowner and he thought I was a good target. BEWARE! read more
