Perfect for a convivial friends meet up so kickback, beer buzz through the craft brew tap list and eat up. Food is great. They have local Enterprise 100% grass fed Carmen Ranch beef or Stangle bison. Wife loved classic bison with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo on a fresh ciabatta bun. When we arrived, it wasn't clear where or how to order. We waited at the bar for a while before being told we could either order there or use a QR code. After sitting down, we realized there was no QR code so we had to go back and wait. The beer was underwhelming, the IPA in particular was disappointing. After ordering, we were told the food would take about 40 minutes, but it ended up taking an hour and 20 minutes. When it was finally ready, we had to go pick it up ourselves and carry it back across the creek. Given the lack of service, it's unclear why a tip is expected. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it, both the burger and BLT were mediocre, and everything arrived cold. Overall, takes a long time and there are much better options in town. read more

I was staying in Joseph but decided to take the short drive over to this spot since the places in Joseph were packed and I wanted to eat outside. I'm so glad I did! They have a tremendous outdoor space with plenty of tables and even a small creek flowing gently through the yard. The tables are spaced far apart so I never felt crowded. They have a great selection of beers they brew themselves. I enjoyed the Pilsner as well as a sample of their Porter. Food was also great. I enjoyed the Black Bean bowl and came back the next night for the Smash Burger. Service was super friendly. If I find myself back in Joseph someday, I'll definitely return. Super cute spot brought sis and the dogger here on a road-trip. First time Gus-Gus got to eat in a restaurant and he gave 5 paws up for the buffalo sis had the Brewers salad and the lettuce was less than crisp, eggs shells on the egg and way overdressed. I really wanted to try the blackberry and goat cheese salad but, they were out. Very nice server who was attentive. Went here on Friday night. This place is bomb dot com. Menue had pictures. Super dog friendly (they had a dog menue). Food was amazing. We ordered the smash burger and beer mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was to die for. To top it off, the atmosphere was a hit. Beautiful property with a tiny creek running through. Corn hole to play while waiting. Only draw back was the long wait time. I've heard about Terminal Gravity for quite a while and the opportunity arose at last for me to try some of their beers. I'm happy to report this beer experience was a good one! I had three different beers from this brewery, all which were very solid. My favorite was the first one we tried however. This was the Extra Special Golden. This was a great golden ale with sweet, dry and maltiness going on all at once combining a very unique and fun beer to drink! The next beer was the Fuggetaboutit, a hazy pale ale which was good! Noticeable flavor features is hoppiness, jucines and notes of floral. The final beer was the was Hop Vault Series No. 3 : Juicy IPA. This had a lot going on but was a really good balanced beer with it's notes of melon, pine, bitterness and citrus. This too was a fun beer to enjoy drinking. Good experience with this brewery and hoping I can get a chance to try more of their beers further down the road. read more

Terminal Gravity is clearly making a strong post-COVID recovery which is heartening for me and my husband who have been visiting every year. We visited in October 2023 and got outstanding service and I had one of the best salads I've ever eaten. I believe it was a warm butternut squash salad or something (this review is being written in January 2024). I'm really impressed with Terminal Gravity, COVID lockdown was terrifying for so many service-based businesses like this, and especially in an area with such low population density. Really nice outdoor space for the kids to run around. Our server was very nice as well. We are in Wallowa County for a short vacation. Went to Terminal Gravity on Monday, 7/15, and had a great meal. My husband had the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich and I had a half size Caesar Salad with Shrimp. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The salad was the best Caesar that I'd ever had. Lots of fresh green Romaine, at least a couple dozen large shavings of Parmesan, several tablespoons of toasted bread crumbs, creamy Caesar dressing, and a half dozen well-charred and tasty shrimp. I liked it so much, we went back today and ordered takeout. I ordered the same Caesar salad and my husband ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger. We were told 20-25 minutes. Our order wasn't ready until over 50 minutes later! My husband enjoyed his burger. My salad was nothing like the same salad that I ordered two days before, though. Romaine and shrimp were mostly same as before (thank goodness) , but there was just a measly 1/2 teaspoon of toasted crumbs, no more than 6 small Parmesan shavings, and very runny Caesar dressing (not creamy at all!). It's these extras that make or break a salad. Lousy quality control and a big disappointment on the second try with the same menu item. read more

Even though we had to wait to be seated, there were extra chairs to sit in for the wait and we could order apps and brews from the window. The brews were spot on as usual and the chips and mango salsa were delicious. Dinner was nice, but the kitchen was backed up so it was a bit slow. However, the wait staff was excellent in communicating and offering additional apps and beverages.I ordered the Mac n Cheese with pulled pork and by the time it got to the table it was a bit cold, but still flavorful. We are in from out of town on vacation from Portland Oregon. We have been here for 5 days now and this evenings dinner will be our sixth time eating here. The local bison burger is the best burger I've ever eaten. Cooked just right, super juicy. Very fresh bun, nice and spicy with the jalepenos, it just couldn't have gotten any better. The slaw on the side was a generous portion, but don't know that I'd pay extra for it again just cause it had too much cumin (not a fan) in it. Otherwise TG is a must stop when through the Wallowa Valley. Great atmosphere outside, great service, and they're doing a good job of taking Covid-19 seriously and keeping everyone safe, which I appreciate. Oh, and of course the beer is fantastic as always. Not quite the hot darling around the state they were 5-10 years ago, but still one of my favorite IPA's, and all the others are top-notch too. Can't go wrong here. We reserved a table through the website; I love that feature where I don't have to talk to anyone. Once we arrived (20 min early) they had a table ready for us early. Everyone sits outside because of social distancing and the area is beautiful with a tiny stream going through it. I wonder though how this will work once the weather gets cooler. The waitress was very nice and friendly. They gave us our drinks quickly, and came for our food order shortly after. We ordered two "shareables"; the shrimp and the mushrooms. One bison peperjack jalapeño burger, one chicken Swiss burger and a kids grilled cheese with half a portion of the beer mac n cheese. Despite some of the reviews, we were served within 20 min. There only seemed to be two waitresses altogether but the one serving us was very attentive and we were never missing anything. The food is great and overall and the portion size is big, which leaves for food to take home. We are happy we decided to go eat here. My kid is in love with the beer mac n cheese, and he's going to want more of that. This place is amazing! Straight out of Enterprise Oregon comes this awesome little brewpub which is also an active brewery. The pub part is in a cute little old craftsman style home. It's got an amazing yard with picnic table seating and a natural stream which is just so cute and awesome. The yard is just the perfect setting for a warm summer night dinner and the ambiance couldn't have been better. Two of us shared the spicy jack burger with a bison patty, the blue bacon burger with beef and the steak pita. Both burgers were amazing. The bison was juicy and tender and cooked perfectly medium rare. The spicy cheese on it tasted a lot like a spicy queso dip and I loved it. The blue bacon burger was amazing as well and so rich and funky. The arugula on it was the perfect complement to the rich cheese and the bacon was so thick and juicy.
