I ordered the heart attack roll, it came out 20 minutes after everything else to the point we thought it had been forgotten. It is important to note this is advertised as an "appetizer roll". We had already finished everything by the time it came out. It was very bland. Our server forgot 2 separate items we asked for, even after we asked again. We were the only ones in there - how could you forget? I also ordered the vegetarian fried rice, but it had chicken in it. The rice was clearly old. The soy sauce on the table was empty. They were nice, though. Everything was clean. Miso soup was good. Sweet and sour soup was good. But everything else was inedible and abysmal. Surprised by the really good reviews, but overall just terrible. Will not be back. Will not recommend.

Something I'm going to have to make a regular thing. The broth was fantastic, the noodles just right and the meat delicious. Everything came together like true raman from Japan. As I was pondering to see if I should go to more of a sit-down restaurant, Asuka's quick poke bowl sounded like a much better choice so I rushed the one on Broadway between the gym and yoga. I stepped in to be greeted by the lady in charge of the kitchen and the register. She was still finishing up the guest ahead of me but once she was done she came to take my order. I went with the Build-Your-Own bowl. The lady was efficient in asking me which ingredients I would want for my nutrient-rich bowl. She was wasting no time and effort and yet she wasn't rushing to get rid of me either (LOL!!) She sounded like she is/was used to handling a long line of people but never forgets/forgot the routine of good service. Once my bowl was perfectly crafted, she had a quick and yet genuine thank you to say. She then moved on to the next person in line. By then there were several people in line. Once I had paid I took the time to look at the interior decorations. And they are quite cute! The umbrella decors on the ceiling are one of them to mention. The dining area is not big and yet it can hold a good number of guests. Quite tidy and clean indeed. Between the location down the street from my house on Yosemite and this one, this location is quite more lively. The Yosemite location seemed a bit smaller than this one. Let's talk the quality of the bowl! Very fresh! From the crunchy cucumber pieces that snapped as I ate it to protein (salmon and tofu) to al the fixings that topped the bowl, everything tasted surprisingly and refreshingly delicious. I wouldn't necessarily say that it tasted exactly like the authentic poke bowls I experienced in Hawaii only a few months ago, Asuka is a solid (chain) place I can go and grab a bowl with no compromise. I have come to appreciate this place very much.

We ordered the cheese tan tan and the kimchi spicy miso. We got the udon for our 4 and 6 year old…read more On the positive side it was pretty good. I would rate it. Maybe four /four and a half. The cheese tan tan was good, probably just a bit too much on the cheese so I would stick with more of a classical ramen if I were to go back. The one thing that caught my eye that I wasn't a fan of was the pricing. I looked at a standard tonkatsu which is kind of my baseline when I'm looking at different ramens. If I wanted to add in all the vegetables that are normally standard and an egg it would go from the $17 base to almost $26 or $9 more when compared to a very comparable competitor nearby that has it priced at $17.50 for a tonkatsu with all the same base, vegetables, egg, etc. That was the reason for the option on our side to stick with the pre-selected specialties so we didn't have to jump through hoops pricing wise. Which takes me to service normally. I like to get three adult meals and split one of the adult size portion between my 4 and 6-year-old. Some places are very accommodating and will go out of their way to split it in the back kitchen so we aren't making a mess at the table. Others are kind of like, Yeah, we'll give you an extra bowl and you do you... Normally I'm not picky and I wouldn't care one way or the other, but since I was already irked by the pricing when I asked if they could do that for me in the kitchen they said " that wouldn't be very easy for the chef so I'll just bring you the bowls".. I'm glad we're doing what's easy for the chef and not for me the customer.

However, it is a shame to find only a single server on duty, a familiar face who has been here for years, or at least as long as I can remember. She works tirelessly and remains polite to a fault, yet she is visibly struggling to keep pace with bagging to-go orders, waiting tables, clearing dishes, and seating new guests. Miyako, I love your establishment and have been a loyal patron since 2016, but please hire another server to give her some much-needed help.

And normally I'm grumpy about "sauces" being on all the rolls, because that usually means goopy, overpowering sauces, but here they were light and perfectly complemented the rolls. I never touched my soy sauce! Also many places make a heap of tempura shrimp for rolls at the beginning of the shift (if you're lucky) so they are cold and soggy in the roll. But my shrimp was still warm and crispy! It was the perfect offset of temperature, texture, and flavor in the roll (as is should be). Bonus points for the huge parking lot even though they are located on Broadway.

We walked in at almost 9 PM and decided to sit at the sushi bar, it was clean and inviting, there were only a couple of other people there. The server was super attentive, greeting us instantly, answering all my questions and giving some much needed recommendations We decided to start with the spicy edamame. I also asked her to bring out a side of the garlic dipping sauce, normally served with a different appetizer. It was really good and fresh, not really spicy, but still yummy We decided to split a few rolls, one I can't remember the name of, but the Kiss of fire was really good, genuinely spicy with the jalapeño on top. My favorite was the snow on the mountain - the different flavors and textures paired so well together. Everything was super fresh and the ingredients were authentic. Prices are not bad at all, most rolls around $20. Would totally come back.

The only reason why I know about this restaurant is because a gift card I got, which listed Sushi Basho as one of the restaurants I can use my card. When entering the door, diners are greeted by a big aquarium. It's actually a great way to stare at the tank and its creatures while waiting to be seated. A table of 8 was arranged and set for us, and in a couple of minutes, we were escorted to our table. Colorado can be brutal in the winter, and this evening, sitting right near the door, I felt chills each and every time the front door was open. However, the heat from the above heater did keep me warm every now and then. As we looked at the menu, I realized there are a lot of options for us to choose. If one doesn't like sushi, they can order some other types of food including their dinner boxes, which a friend and I decided to do. My dinner box came with a small side salad, a choice of miso or hot and sour soup, and the main meal box. Other friends ordered various types of sushi, boiled fish, and a bowl of pork katsu. All enjoyed their food and said they would go back again to eat here. My box meal contained rice, 4 pieces of coconut shrimp, gyoza, a variety of tempura including shrimp and taro, and the main star of the box: salmon with vegetables. Everything was delicious and I did eating everything, but the taro tempura was so good! Perfectly cooked to where, when bitten, it was crunchy on the outside and had great texture inside. It's hard to describe it, and my suggestion is to ask them to prepare one or two taro tempura so that you can have the same eating experience. I was very happy to be able to enjoy a great meal here. I would come back another day and try one of their lunch specials. My grade is a B+.

Pretty bad delivery meal. With food costs so high it's always extra sad to order from some place…read morethat isn't nice quality food. Chicken, chewy and mushy and not normal meat texture AT ALL. If they're "velveting" it, it's excessive and gross. Chicken Fried rice was okay. But so bland and mushy and wet. Also had the weird chicken in it. Peanut curry lunch. Tasted just like like peanut sauce covering everything. They forgot my egg roll so can't speak on those. The curry had a lot of the mushy chicken and almost no veggies. One broccoli, 3 large chunks of mostly raw red pepper. No peanuts. A few snow peas. Pad Thai. Not good. Weirdest and close to worst pad Thai I've ever had. It had a grainy texture to the sauce and was really thick and really bland but sweet all at once. Just a container of red mush noodles and red mush chicken. Why? I really can't understand what is happening. Is this like premade canned or frozen and super cheap so they're selling it? Pad Thai at better Thai restaurants isn't super hard to make and is much nicer. I am just super confused by it. It really reminded me of Thai cup of noodle microwave ramen-like food I've tried at Asian grocery stores. The gyoza were okay. A little harder and drier than we would have preferred and not crispy by their arrival. I could never order here again because we tried such a broad array and its quality was just horrible over all. Even the rice was mushy and very clearly not high quality jasmine rice. Nothing seemed Thai-like at all. Nothing was fresh, light, savory, or vibrant, all things I associate with food thai food. I'm sure with a few pivotal changes they could perk up the menu.
