This was a pretty decent Mexican place. I got the torta with pastor. I'm surprised it didn't come with rice and beans like some of the other places I've been to. The torta itself was a good size, nothing really wowed me. It is a decent place if you're in the area and you're looking to satisfy your Mexican craving. Prices were cheap. This little restaurant has very good food - authentic and flavorful. We decided to eat inside; the waiter was very kind and attentive. The only con about this place is that it is super overpriced. This place has my heart! Mainly for the reasons that their menu is elaborate and has a lot of the mexican staples you would expect from a Mexican Restaurant. The big win came when I saw that they have the Chile Relleno Burrito, this generations best food fusion. I've only ever seen that in LA. Came here with during a family outing and it turned out to be a great dining experience. It's not fine dining but the server put in sweat to make sure that we were doing well at our table. First, putting two tables together so we could all sit together. Making great suggestions on what to eat. Also occasionally checking in while she tended the cashier. The interior of the restaurant was decorated with its Mexican touches. On the walls you can catch sight of pictures and portraits of the Mexican Revolution. The television screen was playing some spanish telenovelas. On the tables you could catch the gold sharpie detailing of "Welcome to Tequila Restaurant ." The food was also up to par. The Chile Relleno Burrito was savory and the chile was cooked just right. The entire was family was not disappointed in anything they ordered. The deal behind it all is you get so much more than what you pay for. We ended up with so many leftovers. Burbank is lucky to have this place. You can catch these tastes up until 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends. read more

I've been here two times so far and I have to say I'm impressed! My boyfriend was excited to bring me to his favorite Mexican restaurant in his hometown. The first time i was here I ordered the taco salad. We ate in so we had chips and salsa while we waited for our food. I always appreciate when a Mexican restaurant serves authentic, fresh salsa rather than from a jar. The salsa was very good!! Now for the taco salad! I'm a sucker for the crispy tortilla shell. It was cooked just right. The portion was huge and the steak was marinated well. I loved the taco salad and I would definitely order it again. The most recent visit I had was a take out order. My boyfriend got us steak burritos and again, this place did not disappoint. The portion was pretty big and I liked that the burrito held firm and didn't fall apart like most places. For the take out experience, it's fantastic every time! Large food portions, the salsas are great. I love the pico de gallo. The nachos are huge and so loaded up. Can't go wrong with the tacos and burritos too! For the dine in experience, everything is clean! Not sure why the waters almost never have ice in them... but that's probably the only bad thing about dining in. The salsas that come out before the food are spicy but flavorful! So I ordered 3 taco dinners. 2 stk and 1 pork. They weren't very good. The steak was chewy and had grizzle in it plus they were skimpy on the meat They didn't give me sauces so I had to go back in. This joint just recently opened - it is a store front in a 3-store strip mall. There have been 2 restaurants before this one, in the past year. Hopefully, these guys can make it. Walked in to get a burritos and check the place out. It is clean and modern inside - 4 tables for seating, so mostly a take-out place. However, 3 of the 4 tables were full. There were 2 guys working - maybe owners? - and they were busting their asses. I probably waited a bit longer than normal to get my food, but I was able to check out their menu - which is pretty extensive. Friendly service, good prices, huge portion of food. The food was good - I got steak and it was not grizzley or chewey. They gave me 3 different salsas and carrots/peppers and it came with rice & beans. A ton of food for under $10. They have some stiff competition from the place down the street from them - but their product is good and I hope this place sticks around. More of a 3.5 star rating! read more

It was not my first time coming to this place. We actually liked their tacos. But tonight they gave me my order wrong I called and the person that took my order claim that when a person orders 3 tacos they automatically give them with lettuce and tomato after I repeatedly asked for onion and cilantro. I told her I asked for it, and she said well that's wrong because I don't have it written on the paper feel free to come and see what I wrote. I now what I ordered and how many times I asked her for onion and cilantro for her to call me a liar. I'm not going back and i used to go there frequently for tacos and or other antojos Mexicanos. Fast-foodish Mexican that's on a slightly higher level than the nearby Jaliscos. They've got the standard stuff as similar places, with a couple of twists. The lengua taco I tried was the most flavorful lengua I can remember anywhere; usually lengua is quite bland and flavorless, being more about the texture than anything else. Their Hawaiana torta is to die for. It's Milanesa beef, pineapple, ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato and is delicious. I've asked them to make it into a burrito a couple of times, and I think it's even better that way. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I think Tequila is now my favorite local fast-foodish Mexican place. read more

I so want to give this place 5 stars but they definitely need a lot of help, I don't want carrots and peppers or hot sauce just the small cups of pico de gallo, I order 2 steak nachos and a taco salad (price is right about $26) and when I explain only pico I get 4, for 3 dishes of food? Like I have to practically beg for more. I mean their food is better then Jalisco but at least Jalisco gives you what you want when you come in and get 3 dishes you should get more then 1.33 sauces to go with each dish 2-3 would be more sufficient. Although their food is good and decent portions I honestly question if I will come back because for more she wanted to charge me?
