Tequila Restaurant - Machacado - Mexican Near Me - Burbank, Illinois

This was a pretty decent Mexican place. I got the torta with pastor. I'm surprised it didn't come with rice and beans like some of the other places I've been to. The torta itself was a good size, nothing really wowed me. It is a decent place if you're in the area and you're looking to satisfy your Mexican craving. Prices were cheap. The large horchata was actually huge and it tasted good. Service was okay, just average since she's the only one serving. Small private parking lot. read more

The food is amazing! my son loves the taco dinner They give you good portions for what you pay for! The Jamaica is delicious and fresh!

Simply amazing food and friendly staff. I think it's very authentic Mexican food. You get enough on one plate for two. You get pico sauce with chips and then they bring hot and mild salsa with your meal. Never had that before read more

This restaurant was goodddd ! Them carne asada tacos were delicious and very quick with service I would highly recommend

This little restaurant has very good food - authentic and flavorful. We decided to eat inside; the waiter was very kind and attentive. The only con about this place is that it is super overpriced. We paid almost $60 for 2 taco dinners! You can go to a fancy Mexican restaurant and eat a lot more for that same price. read more

Tequila Restaurant - Taco Dinner - Mexican Near Me - Burbank, Illinois

This place has my heart! Mainly for the reasons that their menu is elaborate and has a lot of the mexican staples you would expect from a Mexican Restaurant. The big win came when I saw that they have the Chile Relleno Burrito, this generations best food fusion. I've only ever seen that in LA. Came here with during a family outing and it turned out to be a great dining experience. It's not fine dining but the server put in sweat to make sure that we were doing well at our table. First, putting two tables together so we could all sit together. Making great suggestions on what to eat. Also occasionally checking in while she tended the cashier. The interior of the restaurant was decorated with its Mexican touches. On the walls you can catch sight of pictures and portraits of the Mexican Revolution. The television screen was playing some spanish telenovelas. On the tables you could catch the gold sharpie detailing of "Welcome to Tequila Restaurant ." The food was also up to par. The Chile Relleno Burrito was savory and the chile was cooked just right. The entire was family was not disappointed in anything they ordered. The deal behind it all is you get so much more than what you pay for. We ended up with so many leftovers. Burbank is lucky to have this place. You can catch these tastes up until 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends. read more

First time eating here. Will not be my last. THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN TOWN! Every bite was delicious. Can't wait to eat here again.

Only tried the steak tacos so far and they did not disappoint, in fact they exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, quick service. Horchata wasn't overly sweet. Salsas were the right amount of sweet and spicy. Definitely coming back soon. read more

So I decided to get some tacos because I had time to spare before my son football game. The food was great!! The service was great also. I dined in. Also there chips and salsa is to die for lol. Try them out!! read more

I've been here two times so far and I have to say I'm impressed! My boyfriend was excited to bring me to his favorite Mexican restaurant in his hometown. The first time i was here I ordered the taco salad. We ate in so we had chips and salsa while we waited for our food. I always appreciate when a Mexican restaurant serves authentic, fresh salsa rather than from a jar. The salsa was very good!! Now for the taco salad! I'm a sucker for the crispy tortilla shell. It was cooked just right. The portion was huge and the steak was marinated well. I loved the taco salad and I would definitely order it again. The most recent visit I had was a take out order. My boyfriend got us steak burritos and again, this place did not disappoint. The portion was pretty big and I liked that the burrito held firm and didn't fall apart like most places. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. I love hole in the wall type finds ;) read more

Been to this place twice...I like their food. Have a lot of selections. I would recommend this place to my friend to come to get tacos. read more

For the take out experience, it's fantastic every time! Large food portions, the salsas are great. I love the pico de gallo. The nachos are huge and so loaded up. Can't go wrong with the tacos and burritos too! For the dine in experience, everything is clean! Not sure why the waters almost never have ice in them... but that's probably the only bad thing about dining in. The salsas that come out before the food are spicy but flavorful! And the chips always taste fresh. Overall, great food and great place with great service! Enjoy! read more

They looked short staffed with only one cook but regardless they were very friendly and fast my food was hot and very delicious! it was my first time coming here also read more

So I ordered 3 taco dinners. 2 stk and 1 pork. They weren't very good. The steak was chewy and had grizzle in it plus they were skimpy on the meat They didn't give me sauces so I had to go back in. Plus I had to place extra orders for rice and beans cause I didn't get any. I'm very disappointed . I'll go elsewhere. read more

Best mexican place around even better than Jaliscos just down the street. Very friendly staff and always greets you with a smile. The food is authentic and always very good. Steak tacos or burritos or anything is my favorite. Even when you want a taco salad they fill it up with lots of meat. My review is long overdue I've been here too many times and love coming back. read more

Chile Relleno's are great here! Torts de Milanese is also good. Horchata is delicious!

I normally order my food during the morning hours but today I got off work early so I decided to grab some grub from my favorite place, night got pretty hectic! All I asked for was rice to be included in my nachos and the two night shift cooks gave me the worst time and even went as far as to disrespect me in spanish! Will never go here again and if I do I promise you it will only be during the morning shift hours when my favorite cook (Renee) is present! read more

This joint just recently opened - it is a store front in a 3-store strip mall. There have been 2 restaurants before this one, in the past year. Hopefully, these guys can make it. Walked in to get a burritos and check the place out. It is clean and modern inside - 4 tables for seating, so mostly a take-out place. However, 3 of the 4 tables were full. There were 2 guys working - maybe owners? - and they were busting their asses. I probably waited a bit longer than normal to get my food, but I was able to check out their menu - which is pretty extensive. Friendly service, good prices, huge portion of food. The food was good - I got steak and it was not grizzley or chewey. They gave me 3 different salsas and carrots/peppers and it came with rice & beans. A ton of food for under $10. They have some stiff competition from the place down the street from them - but their product is good and I hope this place sticks around. More of a 3.5 star rating! read more

This look the Best taco joint on the Southside! Hands down I most definitely will be back. Not to mention the staff has Excellent service. I Had the Asada and the El Pastor taco both seasoned to perfection with the right amount of fillings. Which includes lettuce and tomatoes and onions and cilantro. read more

Quality food with excellent customer service. I recommend the steak fajitas and steak dinner! Jamaica water and rice water are also very good! read more

It was not my first time coming to this place. We actually liked their tacos. But tonight they gave me my order wrong I called and the person that took my order claim that when a person orders 3 tacos they automatically give them with lettuce and tomato after I repeatedly asked for onion and cilantro. I told her I asked for it, and she said well that's wrong because I don't have it written on the paper feel free to come and see what I wrote. I now what I ordered and how many times I asked her for onion and cilantro for her to call me a liar. I'm not going back and i used to go there frequently for tacos and or other antojos Mexicanos. She even said she repeated my order which she didn't when taking the phone order. read more

Have you ever had a lettuce burrito? If your answer is "No", stop by and ask for their Carne Asada burrito. That's exactly what I got a couple of days ago. Mostly filled with lettuce, it hardly any meat and also had a bit of beans, cheese and tomato. I can't give an opinion on anything else on the menu for this was my first time there. read more

A shame that they do not pay attention when customer orders no willing to help when their Mexican menus gives you any clue to what item is. 2nd time I've walked out of joint. read more

My best tacos after work.very frienly service and prices still moderate for the size them.

The staff here is incredibly friendly and accommodating. From the horchata to the tacos, everything is absolutely delicious. In fact, Tequila has the best al pastor tacos I've ever had. I love those, along with the tripa (tripe), chorizo, and nachos. read more

I'm real picky when it comes to my Mexican food. This place is great when compared to the local competition. Will definitely go here before I go to jaliscos or anything else in the area. read more

Fast-foodish Mexican that's on a slightly higher level than the nearby Jaliscos. They've got the standard stuff as similar places, with a couple of twists. The lengua taco I tried was the most flavorful lengua I can remember anywhere; usually lengua is quite bland and flavorless, being more about the texture than anything else. Their Hawaiana torta is to die for. It's Milanesa beef, pineapple, ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato and is delicious. I've asked them to make it into a burrito a couple of times, and I think it's even better that way. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I think Tequila is now my favorite local fast-foodish Mexican place. read more

I came here with friends, not knowing what I wanted and not even sure I was in the mood for Mexican food. That all changed when I ordered the combination of a taco, tostada, enchilada with refried beans and rice. Relatively inexpensive, lots of flavor, w/o spice or salt overload. Everything was tasty and fresh and the beans were authentic and oh so savory. Very nice portions, if in the area, you can't go wrong! read more

I am so happy I came upon this place while running errands on the south side. I ran in for 2 quick steak tacos and they were amazing! Dare I say the best tacos ever! This is probably the first place I had tacos with no fatty pieces and just all wonderful delicious meat. Service was quick and polite. I already regret not ordering an horchata, but next time I'm in the neighborhood I will be back!! read more

You have to make sure that you repeat your order more than two or three times, we ordered one thing and got another thing and we tried to rectify it and they would not, after we paid for the food they would not correct the order that was not right! read more

I so want to give this place 5 stars but they definitely need a lot of help, I don't want carrots and peppers or hot sauce just the small cups of pico de gallo, I order 2 steak nachos and a taco salad (price is right about $26) and when I explain only pico I get 4, for 3 dishes of food? Like I have to practically beg for more. I mean their food is better then Jalisco but at least Jalisco gives you what you want when you come in and get 3 dishes you should get more then 1.33 sauces to go with each dish 2-3 would be more sufficient. Although their food is good and decent portions I honestly question if I will come back because for more she wanted to charge me? As some nerdy kid ordered 2 tacos he has a complimentary small bowl of chips salsa and hot sauces and he has 2 tacos read more

I have always loved this place in the past but lately I feel as if the food quality has gone down. The dishes I always got do not taste the same anymore or do not have much taste at all! I will be back hoping it gets better again! read more

Definitely the best taqueria in the neighborhood. If you're debating between this place or Jalisco's, just go here. They give you a good serving and the prices are reasonable. The staff is also very friendly so that's a plus. Definitely a good place to go for late night tacos. read more
