The food is very bland, no seasoning at all. They didn't have any beer that was on the menu. I settled for a Coors light that came to me half full. I don't know what it was but it wasn't beer. When I sent it back the server placed it in the fridge behind the bar. It was odd. read more

My friend lives nearby so we decided to check this place out. We were greeted with smiling faces and seated. Love the decor and layout of the restaurant. We started with the chips and salsa, very tasty! Ordered a 2-4-1 happy hour margarita and a jumbo passionfruit marg. Both were delicious. Given how authentic everything seemed, I really wanted to try the street tacos. First annoyance: no mix and match, you have to order the same meat for however many tacos you get. Secondly: no option to order just one taco! You have to get 2 or 3. Fine, I get 3 carne asada. These were barely small enough to be tacos, definitely not street tacos. Street tacos are supposed to be little and flavorful, a little greasy. These were huge and basically fajita tortillas filled with meat, onions, and cilantro. The meat was good, the rice it came with was tasty too. The beans not so much. My friend got the Acordeon Burrito which was excellent! Overall, the service was great. The drinks were delicious. The food was mostly pretty tasty; I'd like to try other items on the menu. I will definitely be back. read more

This was our favorite Mexican restaurant since it was a Salsa. Came back tonight (Sunday) . Big mistake. Haven't been in a while. Travel a lot. Prices $^. Quiet when we arrived. Not so when we left. Outdoor music so loud to stop talking when servers opened door to patio. My Vallerta salad good but my husband said his food was warm after 20+ minute wait for food. Many servers present but seemed to focus on patio. Alex was our server and know him from way back. Very attentive. When we left outside front patio and down the side filled with young party folks and loud music, drinks. I understand the business aspect of this but you are probably sacrificing your older better tipping customers. Looked like a young hood gathering. Bye, bye. read more

We are long time visitors to this Mexican restaurant and have been to this location several times since the new owners changed the name from Salsas. This was our last visit due to goofy pricing and unexplained charges. We ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas as we have done many times. This time we were charged a $3 up charge for the shrimp and $1.50 for chicken. We were told the charge was added because we didn't point to the correct item on the menu. We also asked (foolishly, in hindsight) to substitute black beans for refried and instead received both for - you guessed it - a $3.99 up charge. When we asked about the extra $8.49 in extra charges we were told we ordered wrong and were expected to pay accordingly. The sad part is the food is good. The fajitas were excellent as expected. Juicy shrimp and tender chicken. And the servers are friendly. But with so many food options locally we just go somewhere that sticks to the printed menu. read more

Not authentic food at all . Chilaquiles are supposed to be tortillas and they used tortilla chips as the bottom. . I've had white people make better chimichurri sauce in the panhandle and that's sad bro. I'm Mexican and my mom would beat my a** if I ever brought her here. I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will I eat here, again. I ordered a taco salad. It was the worst taco salad I've ever had. Very little flavor, hardly any cheese, no sour cream or guacamole. It was supposed to come with all three. My waiter, Alex, didn't come back, to check on us, after delivering our food. We ate outside. He returned, at the end of the meal. I asked if I should've received sour cream and guacamole, and he said yes. He told me he'd speak with the manager. He returned with my bill and I was being charged the full price. I went inside and asked to speak with the manager. She only deducted 10% from my bill. Needless to say, I didn't tip the waiter, who never checked on us or our food. read more

Edgar was amazing, and provided us incredible service, the food was also very delicious. The wife and I split a chicken tortilla soup and a few tacos. The pastor tacos were the best I have ever had and being from Arizona there are a lot of taco places. Came here for a birthday party and they were SUPER accommodating. We had chicken quesadillas and the shredded chicken nachos. Both were delicious. The nachos had so much meat on them it was surprising. The margaritas were 2x1 and despite having a lot of people to deal with the wait staff nailed it. read more

I love the preparation and portions. The staff is all around wonderful. The tasteful atmosphere really rounds out the location. Best part is the wide variety of food. I just love the Texas fajita. So, it's Thursday night, Mama is still out of town and I skipped lunch. I need food, and a pretty healthy portion at that. I was browsing through the local Mint magazine that arrived in todays mail and came across an ad for this place. Haven't been yet, and Mexican food is certainly a belly-filler usually, so figured I'd give them a shot. Arrived a little after 5 PM and was seated immediately. My server came out promptly and took my beer order (Dos Equis Amber on tap, and 2 for 1 until 6 PM) and the chips and salsa showed up right behind him. Chips were average but the salsa got a little better under new owners. IMO, could have used more cilantro, but that's just me. Now this place used to be the old Salsa's but with new owners and name, and the same menu. Bright colors all around, sombreros hanging in the walls, you get the picture. Ordered the Super Burrito with a side of refried beans, as I was pretty hungry. Food came out really fast, hot and appeared fresh. Burrito was OK, as were the beans. For food flavor, there's better options on both sides of "The Ditch", both in OP as well as Mandarin and Murray Hill. Service was, however, exemplary. David (according to the receipt) was prompt, courteous and quick. Never lacked for anything, and he checked on me several times during my meal, including right after my food was delivered. Was wavering between 2 and 3 stars, but service pushed it up. read more

Simply amazing. We moved to Florida from California a few months ago and trying to find good Mexican food is almost impossible. This place is truly a hidden little gem. A diamond in the rough. My husband and I absolutely love the food here. The salsa is amazing, the fajitas are to die for and the drinks are pretty good for the prices. We had a server named Aj on the ticket & his service is what made our most recent visit the WORST. He is rude & seems to not enjoy his job, you feel like a burden. I had to ask for my tortillas in order to eat my dinner & I had asked for some to go and never received them. We had waited 35 min for him to bring us our check & one of the checks was wrong. It's a little disappointing with how much we truly enjoy the food. We will be going back but requesting to not have him as our server again. read more

Visited here in a group of six on a busy Friday night. Food and service were excellent. Alex, a holdover from when the place was Salsas, was super attentive and accommodating. Food, six different meals, was all excellent, as were the frozen margaritas. We may have a new favorite Mexican restaurant. read more

Food was nothing special, service was slow and the rudeness of the waiter was off the charts. Waiter said it was his first week. While we were eating, he came over and said he had messed up the billing of our order. I had ordered beef tacos. He said no, I had ordered a more expensive fish dish, because that was what was on his ticket. I told him there was no reason to for him to accuse me of lying. He simply needed to look at the beef taco on my plate. He realized his error but did not apologize to me. We will not return. read more
