One Night Taco Stand is just one of those places that I know I'm going to be happy with my meal. Is it the greatest taco place in Jax? No, but they are good and they are consistent! I've been eating with One Night Taco Stand ever since they only had a single location off San Jose Blvd. I have always enjoyed my food, my margs, and my beer. On this visit (to the Orange Park location) I stopped in for a quick lunch by myself. I had been out thrifting and they were on my route of passing. So I decided to pop in. Today I got the taco trio lunch special and went with a 904 Taco, a Churri Taco, and the Caribbean Taco. The 904 and Churri Tacos are 2 of my typical go tos here. The Caribbean was a new choice for me, and while it had great flavor, it just wasn't something I think I'd get again in the future. I think I imagined something along the lines of a jerk chicken, but this was very sweet with grilled pineapple on it. I'm not too big on a sweet taste in my palate and prefer or more savory or smoky palate. Service was fast and friendly. The GM has incorporated ipad menus with photos of all the menu items, which I really think is smart and a great business decision. The atmosphere is always fun, it's always clean. It's ok, I was excited to try this place. I got seated right away, and they brought out my chips and salsa within minutes. My waitress was very attentive. I ordered the 3-taco lunch special. But I should have given my taco's some thought. I got 1 fish (I should have gotten this in a soft shell) the 904 taco and the one night, with ground beef. The chips, I felt like they came right out of the oil, freshly fried. The taco shells, I think they came out of a box or bag! Now that that's out of the way! I'm not on the West Coast! The fish on the fish taco was good, but I felt like I just wanted some tartar sauce and some fries. It wasn't a good fit for the taco to me. and again, I put it on the wrong tortilla. The skirt steak taco, the meat wasn't very tender, and not much flavor. The only sauce I had was the salsa, so that helped out this taco and the ground beef taco as well. Now, I was really surprised, the ground beef taco (one night taco) stole the show. It was seasoned well, and it was just good! I just wish the taco shells were better. This is a good hang out spot, they offer 2 for 1 drinks YESSSSS! So a great spot to hang out with friends and family. I didn't get to enjoy that part! I decided to go here for lunch yesterday, being that I was in this area. This was my first time at this location. I have been to the one on the Southside and San José area as well. Parking was good this day, because I managed to find an available parking space upon arrival. The service was good today, and the food item looked very good as well. I decided to order their birria tacos. I had birria tacos in the past and loved them. That birria tacos meat was very good and flavorful as well. The outside was nicely grilled as well. They serve theirs with a generous bowl serving of birria meat juice sauce. That dipping was sauce was excellent and flavorful as well. I love the ambiance within this restaurant because they have random paintings of masked wrestlers on their walls, which, masked wrestlers are popular in Mexico. I order from here very often on DoorDash and today I received a roach in my food. I never wanna eat from this place again. I am absolutely disgusted. If you have a roach infestation problem you should at least check your food multiple times before allowing it to be served, that was the most traumatic disgusting thing I've ever experienced in my own life. I ate half of it yesterday and I heated it up the rest of it today and in my rice buried inside was a baby roach never order from this place or even go inside to eat because they probably have roaches crawling everywhere. The refried beans tasted a little like beans. Not sure they know how to use salt. The rice was equally as bad to say the least. The enchilada was a greasy corn tortilla filled with just ground beef. No cheese, no sauce. The burrito was a flour tortilla wrapped around the same bland ground beef. No cheese, no sauce. No other filling for either of them. The taco should have been excellent but once again...same ground beef, a little lettuce and some tomato. No cheese. I guess cheese comes at a premium. The service was great. This place is VERY casual and relaxed. They serve alcohol, which surprised me based on my first impression, but they gave a very expansive drink menu! We stopped here while runnings errands for a quick lunch. We were the first customers of the day when they opened at 11. The place stayed pretty dead while we were there, and it was a Saturday. The inside decor is not everybody's cup of tea, certainly not mine, but we wanted to try this place. The drinks were great! I ordered queso for an appy even though they provided complimentary chips and salsa. Both dips tasted good, though the queso was slightly more on the liquidy side. The burrito bowl was ok. Just a little basic. My husband shared that the steak could have been cooked in less time- in meaning that he likes it rare, there was a lot of filler in that meal. My sriracha shrimp taco was out of this world! The batter was perfection, the flavor was fantastic! When you bite into it, the shrimp breaks away perfectly without awkwardly pulling the whole tail out. I was pretty happy with everything I ordered. Another note is the place had a sticky feel to it. By sticky I mean the floors are literally sticky and try to keep your shoes when walking. The table tops weren't that much better. Next time we may just order takeout. read more

It was my first time having fish tacos and they were delicious! They didn't overload it with sauce, I could taste the fish and it was seasoned perfectly. The restaurant was cool with a bar so of course i ordered A margarita. When the server said house margaritas were 241 my friend said she'd be willing to drink the other so it was perfect! We haven't had a bad experience here. We live One night! Our most recent visit was on cinco de Mayo about an hour before close. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away. I guess that's the perk of having so many Mexican restaurants in town. We ordered our favorites plus we shared a frozen piña colada and flan. I love my fiery fish tacos but I don't get the cabbage/onion mixture because it has cilantro. There crema with it is perfect. My bf loves the Mr.potato tacos. We always get their queso too. I came in by myself so I could grab a quick lunch after shopping at At Home. I had no idea what I was getting into and I really liked it! The theming is incredible and felt throughout the entire restaurant, including the bathrooms. I do not know much about wrestling and even less about Mexican wrestling just what I saw in Nacho Librea. Even with my lack of knowledge I still really loved the theme of the restaurant. The host and waitress were both very nice. When I walked in I was greeted and sat right away. I then very quickly was brought chips and salsa. The chips were the normal tortilla chips and the salsa was very mild. The waitress was very helpful and quick. I ended up ordering three tacos each one better than the last. I got the shroom, sriracha shrimp and Mr Potato. My least favorite was the shroom taco, now I did think this was going to be my favorite so maybe my expectations were to high. There were a good amount of mushrooms on the taco along with chicken but there wasn't really any flavor. I did add some salsa which kind of helped. The sriracha shrimp taco was good, lots of flavor. My only complaint would be because the shrimp was fried it lost some of the shrimp flavor. There was however four shrimp on my taco so very worth it! Lastly my favorite taco was the Mr Potato taco it was surprisingly packed with flavors and the potato wasn't too much like I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend getting this one! All in all I would probably skip the shroom taco next time and maybe double up on the Mr potato taco. There absolutely will be a a next time and I will update my review accordingly. read more

Forget the Napolera and Salsas. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Jax and Orange Park. Service and food was great! I will have give them five stars if they will have picked up the plates. It seems like this is normal here since I saw the same for several tables.
