Stopped in around lunchtime for some tacos. There was a guy cleaning the floors and tables. Not sure if they had just opened, but it was coming up on 1pm. Noticed he wasn't wearing a mask (actually, nobody working there was). Ordered three tacos - shrimp, al pastor, and steak. Got them all loaded with guac and everything. Took a lot longer than I expected - I assume some things were straight out of the fridge/freezer like the steak since it was on the colder side. The al pastor and shrimp were definitely my favorites. They also sell a limited amount of groceries, like hot sauce, tortillas, chicharrones, fruit, and some Mexican candy. They also sell rolls of toilet paper if you're in a pinch. No outdoor seating, so gotta walk and eat.

Now back to the experience. Mexico 2000 gets an A+ for their food. I'd give an A+ for the drinks anf another A+ for the authentic Mexican astetic of art and other traditional touches throughout the resturant. Unfortunately, I only have a C+ for the service. Sadly, my bestie and I waited, not to be seated but for our dining experience to get underway. I arrived first and had to ask the waiter three times for lemon to add to my water. Additionally, when my friend did arrive, we seemed to be waiting an unusually long time to get our food. Perhaps it was because the food was made to order? I'm not sure but it was a bit much. Yikes! Luckily the food was fantastic and the portions were more than enough. Don't get me wrong, the waiter we had was friendly and all but he seemed to be distracted and as a result, he was unable to get an A+ from me. I'm not a snop but having to ask three times for something is not the best customer service. The truth of the matter is, I plan to return for all the reasons I have given an A+. I would encourage you to do the same because the food is oh so good and hopefully, the waiter (if you get the one I had) will be on his "A" Game!

Maybe they serve good food, but they're not at all honest when it comes to money. I ordered a gift card on their website for one of my clients. She asked to use her gift card, but they wouldn't accept it, even though their website says it can be used at the restaurant. They were supposed to contact me to refund the gift card because the client had paid directly with her credit card. They never did. But that's not the worst of it. I sent two messages on social media and three emails, and I never received a response (8 days) even though they had promised the client they'd get back to me.
