I ordered via Grubhub taking a chance on a different Mexican restaurant and I am not disappointed at all. I'm in love with Mexican food. There's no denying that. This place is definitely superb. The flavors, richness of the meat and textures are all there. The carnitas was so soft and Shredded just how I love it. The rice and beans were well seasoned and delicious. Guacamole has a little kick to it but I enjoyed it. I loved all of my food. The chips are some of the best chips I've had. You can tell they're freshly hand made and fried to perfection. I'll definitely order from here again.

I saw a family eating a big 'ol container of chips and guac at my laundromat, I knew I needed it for inner peace. This place is tucked in the back of a grocery store/deli. There's bright flags strung across the store, with folks hanging out and relaxing. I found it helpful to order pick-up because the person running the register and I were finding it hard to communicate. They were so attentive tho. You know I got the guac and it absolutely hit. I also got chicken quesadilla and horchata. It's the best Mexican food I've had since leaving California and Texas, making me a little homesick. The tacos are also bangin'. Y'all gotta come here.

Cold stale chips. This was what they sent when I ask for extra.

Ordered delivery from here. Received my food cold. And this was after I decided to order here instead of cooking. Guess I had to heat up food either way ordering from here. NOPE!

    Mole, horchata, Enchiladas

Im from la, so i act like it know it all when it comes to my mexican food. I love real OG spots with flavor and this place right here?! The best mexican food ive had since ive moved to new york, hands down. Wow. We came back two days in a row. Highly recommend the cheese enchiladas and the torta. Will be coming back all the time.

    Burrito

I truly never leave reviews, but this place doesn't have enough love for how totally delicious it is. Super fresh ingredients, fast delivery - and the little spread that came with the burrito? Come on. Look at that picture. Downright adorable. Got the chicken burrito - the chicken is beautifully stewed and shredded, with chunks of nice stewy peppers and tomatoes in there too. Will be ordering again no doubt.

Found this gem looking for some good Mexican food in the area and they did not disappoint! The tacos are hearty and filled with flavor! I ordered 8 tacos in total. 2 steaks, 2 chorizos, 2 Al pastor and 2 Cecina. They were all good but my personal favorite out of all of them were Al pastor. The reason I am giving them 3 stars however is that the place is a little disorganized and they seem to get orders mixed up when taking them by phone and walk ins at the same time. But as for the food itself there is no doubt that I would come back and come for some more flavorful tacos!

Only half of a breaded chicken torta...awesome kick and fresh tasting ingredients

Best Mexican in the area and tons of food for the price! Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Mexican food but maybe it's because I've never been to a good spot. I usually find it bland and under seasoned with tough meat. I prefer more Latin like Haitian, Puerto Rican and Dominican food. This place though got it perfect. We got the guacamole and chips, breaded chicken torta, chicken mole platter, and Mexican style steak platter. The guac is super fresh, well textured and the chips hold up well. The torta was awesome! A nice kick from some peppers, well seasoned chicken, and yummy bread. This alone I would at least make this a fav sandwich spot. The bistec wasn't tough but could of been a little more tender. Mole is hardly ever wrong so no surprises there. I ordered on grubhub and it just said torta. The counter girl called and wanted to check what meat and overall the whole ordering experience to delivery was pleasant. I am only taking off a star because the mole was alllll over the place when it arrived so perhaps they could find a better container for wetter dishes. Additionally, the rice was good but nothing to yell about.

My favorite was easily the pastor as it was so well balanced. The tacos are self dressed, so you can decide what toppings to put on it. Something to note: the tacos are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Los tacos no. 1, so get an extra to account for that.

Taqueria Ramirez is a popular, authentic Mexico City-style taqueria in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known…read morefor its tacos like al pastor, suadero, and tripa, often finished with a blowtorch for a crispy texture. Owned by Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar, the spot stands out for its real flavors, busy small vibe, and unique options like nopales and a rich dipping sauce. The owners opened it in 2021 to fill a gap in NYC's taco scene. I was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to pick up an order from the popular fish spot Piscator. I wanted to check out the food scene there and did some research, which led me to Taqueria Ramirez because it's so popular. When we got there, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. The place has an open kitchen where you can see all the food being made. They offer toppings, but you add them yourself from a table of condiments. I got two Pastor Tacos, a Suadero, Longaniza, and the famous Tripa taco, which is pig intestines. The Pastor tacos had big chunks of meat that were super tasty and flavorful. The Suadero tasted similar to the Pastor, but it was still packed with flavor. I wasn't really a fan of the Longaniza; the flavors didn't do much for me. If you like bold tastes, you might like it. I also didn't love the Tripa -- the texture was off, and it was too soft. They blowtorch the Tripa to make it crispy, but I didn't really get the crunch I expected. Overall, this place makes some really good tacos, and I'd definitely go back to try their Gringa Al Pastor Tacos, which are only available on Tuesdays.

I went on a Friday evening around 9:30pm. It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

Whenever friends visit my area, I consider this place one of the staples that I'll bring them to. In the summertime, I have even made use out of their limited seating outdoors. Usually, the service is fairly straightforward--you order, get your receipt then move down to the window and wait for your name to be called. Not much pleasantries but they get the job done. However, today I had an experience that left a poor taste in my mouth and honestly will put me off from going back for at least a while. When I went up to order, I asked for "the combo with birria tacos and consome", the cashier confirmed with me if I wanted "just Birria tacos? Or the combo?", I replied, "right, the birria taco combo." I think trying to be overly explicit led to the misunderstanding, because I got my order with only 3 Birria tacos. When I asked about the missing consome, she repeatedly insisted that I said no to the combo. After prolonged back and forth, she asked if I want consome, and when I said yes, she proceeded to ring it up on its own for $4. The thing is, I had already pulled out a dollar to cover it, as it's only a 50 cent difference between the combo and 3 tacos alone. I pointed this out, to which she shoved the consome at me with a look of disgust and told me she didn't want the money. I left the dollar in the tip jar anyway, but I felt uncomfortable from the exchange and also that it held up the delivery drivers and other patrons waiting in line to order.
