A friend told me about the great sinus tincture at Tenzing Momo. I drove into Seattle today to pick it up. I didn't expect an adventure. Leo helped me, reminding me what great customer service looks like in NYC (I'll give a hint, it doesn't seem to be friendly, even if it is). He spent quite a while with me, mixed up some herbs to put in my neti pot, had me try a super-high-test menthol inhaler, gave me some other things to think about and try. I didn't expect such deep knowledge, or a chance to get some good old-fashioned East Coast rough-hewn hospitality! read more

Can you hear the sitar strum? Because I can. Couldn't believe I didn't see this place until my umpteenth time around the market. Tenzing Momo's got everything you need for your mindful wellness needs. Tea's, herbs and more incense than you can shake a stick at, this is the place a go to spot for everything zen. Got my first set of mala's there, freaked out over the puzzle boxes, and generally enjoyed myself. Had to hold back on buying some sage bundles for the road, thought the TSA might employ invasive search techniques if they saw those on the scanner. But I did head home with some awesome Rose incenses. Mmm and Om. read more

I have been going to Tenzing Momo for around ten years now, but I have to say that their customer service is going down the drain. I usually buy my essential oils for baths and lotions here, but after today's experience with their rude service I am now planning to go elsewhere. Yes they offer many items from tarot cards to homeopathic products, but heaven forbid you ask about more information-- they will just tell you to buy the book. No joke. read more

Absolutely wonderful... from essential oils to ginger pills for nausea, a great place for us! We love it! Soothing healing crystals to almost anything our heart desires. Tenzing Momo is always there to assist. Thank you! read more

I love coming here to have Leo make me special oil blends. He has an amazing nose and helps me whip up unique concoctions. I also love seeing Raven for a reading. She has always been accurate and insightful. In general it is also just a great place to pick up fun incense, etc. read more

Get all of my supplies here and have been a return customer for the last 5 years... Thank you for the help, support, journey and experience.

This is a fun little herbal apothecary in the market. It smells great and has interesting goodies to peruse and purchase. We have one of the Tibetan singing bowls that's amazing (and a number of different incenses and tinctures). In the interest of full disclose, a close friend of mine manages the store... but that fact makes it no less interesting or enjoyable to shop there. Take a look and enjoy, it's tucked behind the new location of the crepe shope (another fabulous delight), just past DeLaurenti's. read more

Normally I would say you could not bottle atmosphere but here they have pulled the rabbit out of year of the hat. The place is historic. Obviously the most interesting place within a thousand yards of where they throw fish through the air for novelty. If your trying to find Fernando Po or the Bon Po, you have come to the right place. Always a unique pick of books, herbs, oils, jewelry, and odic force. read more

My husband wanted to duck into here on our visit to the Market today to look at the incense selection and he wasn't disappointed. They had a HUGE selection of reasonably priced incense in every scent and form you can imagine. They had a lot of things I would have interested in had we not had 4 of our 5 kids with us, the 3 year old picking up everything in sight. They had Tarot cards, essential oils, and so much more and we WILL be back! read more

We make a point of visiting Tenzing Momo whenever we're in Seattle. They have the best selection of essential and fragrance oils of anywhere I know of in the whole wide world. The ambiance is fun and funky. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their cotton shopping bags are the best you'll find anywhere at any price, and they cost only $9! read more

this place is wonderful. the staff, the selection of incense, and beads, and more. the tattooedpsychic, is fabulous too. I bought some turtle shells to make a rattle, and some grass to burn and cleanse, and then some nice turquoise skeleton beads. thanks y'all. read more

I've been coming to this store since 1979. Best priced quality body oils.

I make a point of coming here every time I make a trip to seattle. Love the selection of EO's, and the prices are really reasonable.

Tenzin momo is such a gift to the market. They have everything you ever need for natural remedies: from essential oils to all types of amazing power teas. I was having skin problems and the lady recommended castor oil and tea that they had and it has been fucking awesome, it is my holy grail ( shout out to that girl!) I seriously had all my friends go and buy castor oil because it is magic! My friend also got a class piece stuck in his foot and doctors recommended surgery but he ended up getting an ointment ( don't recall which one specifically but if you ask I'm sure they will know) and it literally popped out of his foot. So yeah basically best store every. read more

I love the blood and lymph cleanse tea, it helps me feel a really good energy without caffeine.

Hate to write a negative review about anything at the market --but my experience here was uncomfortable, unpleasant and unnecessary. I felt like a burden from the moment I entered this store. With at least 3 staff members on site, not one of them took the time to engage with me/ask if I had any questions....it was actually the opposite. When I went out of my way to ask them questions they heckled and blatantly laughed in my face! The eye rolls and snickering were shocking. I've never been made to feel this way and especially wouldn't expect it in one where the "vibes" seem to matter. I truly hope MGMT can see this and make some changes -- as I was willing to spend a pretty penny but decided against it because of the shortness and straight up sass from staff. Maybe they need to burn some of their own sage in there and run some customer service trainings...hoping my next visit is a better one full of at least semi-smiles and education on the products. read more

Tenzing Momo... The one and only. Nuff said. It really is, the one. The only.; no place like it.

I like the shop. Easy to get the herbs I need as well as carrier oils and hydrosols. However, majority of the time the customer service is lacking. There have been numerous occasions that I get a rude response from asking a question. It's really unfortunate because I live so close and want to support a local business instead of get my supplies online. For now , I will only stop in when I need one or two things and don't want to place a large order online. read more

Another one of the great magical secrets of Seattle ....nestled away in a bustling market. I can't begin to truly describe my history with this store in a Yelp review. I can say since 1995 I have been a patron and gotten oils, statues, herbal medicine, local art, books and plenty of sundries. I highly recommend Tenzing to anyone with a spiritual and homeopathic goal. read more

The place to go for your medicinal needs, be your doctor! Jüpiter loves you Tenzing Momo

Tenzing Momo is an oasis of calm inside of the chaos of the Pike Place Market. They carry a beautiful array of herbal medicines, soups, essential oils and much much more! I mostly like to stop in to purchase essential oils and fragrance oils which I use to make my own perfumes. Their staff are helpful and friendly folks. I always feel calm and happy when I leave. read more

Do you need several ounces of wood betony or Jamaican dogwood? Perhaps some bee propolis?Or maybe just someone to help you distinguish between astralagas and asparagus? Remarkable selection. This place stocks spices and herbs you can't find even at The Spice Market (also in the Pike Place Market). I found Chinchona bark, cubebs, and glalangal here. Phenomenal selection--and low prices! read more

This place is amazing. I go their ever time Im in Seattle. I purchase the Egyptian Musk oil. I literally get asked all the time by people what scent am I wearing because it smells so good. Its not a typical musk smell. In fact I would never think to purchase a musk. But their Egyptian musk oil is awesome! I guarantee if you try it you will be approached by several people wanting to know what that scentt is! read more

Honestly I NEVER write reviews but I felt I had too. I was visiting from out of town and had over 200.00 to spent on herbs and such I can't get locally; but was VERY put off by the fact that when I walked up to the counter to acquire my herbs the women behind the counter couldn't be bothered to stop heir conversation to help me. And when they finally did made me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. Needless to say I didn't spend any of my money there. Very disappointing read more

Didnt know where else to look for loose herbs besides the internet and i needed them asap.... i have asthma and had an upper respiratory infection and bronchitis and couldn't find much relief in my inhaler. I researched herbs that have helped people with asthma before in hopes of making a tea, but i didnt recognize any of the herbs and had a list of over 20 herbs. I didn't even call because i couldn't talk, i just used what energy i had to come in and handed them the list. They had everything. I got an ounce of each herb and it cost me about $20. I put half a handful of everything in a pot and let it boil then cool and put that in a gallon milk jug. With every sip i gained more breath than id found in weeks. I had been sick a month without feeling much better. I drank a gallon of the tea every day for a week and could go back to work after that with more than half of each herb still left over at thw cost of one inhaler refill. Id been here before for sage, oils, and jewlery, but now know where to go when i ever find myself sick again. read more

I have been going to Tenzing for almost 5 years now and it really hasn't changed all that much. I find that the men who work in the store are condescending and not at all helpful. If they want to be tragically hip maybe working in this store isn't the place to be. Anyway, they do have a lot of herbs there that are reasonably priced, but I could do without the lectures on how to use them, I have been a witch for about 40 years now I kinda know about karma, and the law of three guys. The book section is very good, but they seem to get upset if you want their help getting a book down from the very top shelf. My big complaint is that I know that most of their stuff comes from a place called Azure Green and then they of course do the mark up, which makes the prices so much more than if you just order direct from them. Their candle selection is pathetic and those tarot readers who come in to read customers cards, where do they find these people ? I do tarot card readings, and I know it certainly wouldn't cost 50 bucks, its kinda a rip off guys, so I would skip having your cards read here. I will only go back here for the herbs and the oils, which are nice and rich in aroma. read more
