Just off the highway into Arkansas, off I-55 you will find the West Memphis Welcome Center. This center is staffed with friendly, knowledgable folks who are more than happy to guide you, set you up with travel info or just chat. This welcome center has all kinds of printed media to further enhance your Arkansas experience. This Welcome center also has restrooms, vending machines and seating outside for picnics or just to enjoy the weather. it is always once of my stops when I'm back in good 'ole Arkansas.

And I wanted to add more states to my list of visiting places. Quality/Quantity - Welcome center number 1. So why is this welcome center named West Memphis rather than Arkansas...? Good size, beautiful location. Amazing amount of information, good thing we also have Google and Trip Advisor, lol. Atmosphere - Welcome center hours - Open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm; Yelp's hours differs slightly. Restrooms open 24 hours. Clean bathrooms. Service - Okay, not as welcoming as the other 3 welcome centers we visited. And all 3 other centers gave us welcome gifts! First experience as we have never gotten gifts before, now we know to ask. Price - Free, thank you! Owner Comment - Thank you Arkansas since 1836 for this beautiful welcome center.

No soap in the dispenser, papers on floor etc. I went back out to fill my bike. I tried to use the card at the pump 3 times. Twice card reader once with chip scanner. I then went back in store and waited in line for about 10 min before a cashier asked what I needed. I said fillup on pump 2. She directed me to your self checkout machines which I told I don't use because they never work right. She told me ours work fine. She started the process and told me to just use the card machine to finish the transaction. I inserted the card twice and was given faulty transaction both times i then tried the chip scanner and was given a card chip error. The kiosk then asked if I wanted to contine transaction. I pressed "NO" while I let the whole store know the same. I then was asked what was wrong. I informed her these f...ing things don't work, your pumps don't f...ing work. I'm f...ing done. She then offered to check me out. I told her it's too late. Im going somewhere else. I was a faithful Pilot/Flying J customer because of this experience and complete waste of time (over 25min for a 10 min gas stop). I will never visit a pilot again and will voice it to everyone I know.

They will tell you they can't provide early check-in if it was fully booked the evening prior and rooms won't be clean until 3pm. Yet, at 3pm, magically at least four rooms became clean and ready for check-in. See what I mean? Why not just say it's your policy or that we won't even look into it until 3pm. Where's the customer service? They did let me sit in the lobby for four hours to wait on their service. When 3pm came, the clerk assisted one family to a room while a line started at the counter. Then she walked to the back and disappeared for another 10 minutes without first saying anything like "I will be right back" or "one sec" at least to show you are a human in society and you have some common sense. If there is any chance you might want to casually watch television during your stay here, then I highly recommend checking the room first. Many reviews suggest this is an on going issue and management is aware yet choose to not fix the issue. Rooms 324 & 326 will never have a working television in my opinion. The staff and general manager are aware, although they will say they aren't. Then they will give you their suggestions on how to fix the issue they have "no knowledge" of. They may even tell you they are calling maintenance to come. He will not come. You may ask the manager about the results, they win't know. By day three without television you might track down maintenance yourself like I did. He may tell you he is aware and did not go to your room like he did me. He may look up at the sky and say there aren't any clouds out so it should work now. It won't and you better demand another room because the shenanigans will only continue. Broken towel rack. Mini fridge in 324 did not have a "working" low setting on mini fridge. See photo of exploded soda cans. Yes, I cleaned it only because I didn't trust the hotel to not try to charge me. This hotel makes you ask for the Do Not Disturb door hanger at the desk. Even if you display it. A well dressed male may still give your door a quick tap on the door and then barge in. No, he will not wait on you to open the door. He will tell you he wasn't aware someone was staying in the room. He will not apologize. He will even ask for you to come down to lobby to sort out their incompetence. Just ignore him. He'll figure it out. There are Asian Lady Beetles in the rooms here. I've seen three rooms just during my week's stay and have seen them with my own eyes. Hope someone who cares about any future guests does something about this place. The floor felt damp, although it wasn't. We left the AC on 65, hoping that whatever was causing the smell would dry out, but it continued through our stay. Other complaints: They were not running the AC in the hallways (and it was 90 degrees not adjusted for heat index outside), and the toilet seat was cheap plastic. We are pretty much done with the Hilton brand. Marriott facilities are much nicer at the same price point.

Many of you will not have occasion to drop in to this incredibly unique nights in hotel many of you will not have occasion to drop in to this incredibly unique Knights Inn motel. Seriously when I say unique I mean unique in a very good way! This motel is American owned and operated And you can see how proud they are of that, in every nook and cranny and details you wouldn't believe in a budget stay! Owned by a retired Marine and flying that flag too! Our room was large, spotless, with a patriotic flair. USA decor and colors of our beloved flag abound. Did I mention when we arrived and I was checking in the smell of fresh muffins baking in the oven was wafting throughout the lobby. The multi talented chef checked us in. Gave me a review of the cooked to order eggs along with the breakfast buffet that would await us in the morning. He is a very friendly fellow and hard worker -obvious he enjoys his work. Happy we did. You enter your room from the oitside. (Not something my wife likes in a hotel.) She likes to enter her room from the inside. Tried unsuccessfully to cancel the room. Happy we stayed. The owner, Michael, is a Marine and many retired/inactive military and police stay here. The staff, (ie. Alan) is jovial and pleasant. He's always in a good mood--seemingly. American flags are everywhere and military decor peppered throughout the lobby. The news station in breakfast area is on Fox News. The breakfast is killer. You get eggs made to order, including omelettes, too. Cut fruit, biscuits and gravy, breads individually bagged. The rooms are clean. We got slippers and a chocolate mint on our beds. The shower curtain is a beautiful American flag design. A lot of pluses for a great price.

This motel should be rated a 1/2 star at best. The entire place is run down, front lobby stinks of cigarettes like Freemont St in Las Vegas, pool is cloudy and filled with dirt and leaves, elevator buttons are mislabeled, etc. Our non smoking room smelled of cigarettes, was filthy, had cigarette holes all over the blanket and sheets, rugs and bathroom floor had bugs and fleas, bed had fleas, wool covering was put under sheets (I itched all night) wallpaper and floor baseboards are peeling off the wall, A/C has thick dirt and mud all over it, and dirt in corners of bathroom. To make matters worse, the motel is next to a busy, noisy train track. It's beyond awful. I guess I shouldn't have expected much from a Super 8. Totally disgusted. DO NOT RECOMMEND.... BEWARE
