    Mississippi from the 12th floor

Room is spotlessly clean. I have a great view of the river from my room. I was surprised at how quiet my room is, since it is right next to the elevator but I never heard the elevator once either while awake or asleep. The breakfast is satisfying - there is something for every taste. The staff is friendly and professional, especially Earlina at the front desk.

This hotel was pretty awesome. For the price we were centrally located to everything. It is a block to the Trolley station but really we walked everywhere. Parking at $12/day is pretty cheap considering other hotels. The staff from the time we checked in to the time we left were Outstanding... they say Hello and remember us and asked how our day was. So helpful!!! The room was clean and very roomy. I asked for a Riverview and I got it!! The Memphis Bridge at night is so pretty. The added Bonus was the Pool. It was very Hot while we were there and to be able to cool off and relax was awesome. The pool could use freshening up but it served its purpose. Highly recommend this hotel

The staff was nice. Checking in and out was no problem at all. No one was ever rude. Parking is in the deck below which has no cell service. My only problem with this place was the comforter was like...Plasticky? I dont know how to explain it. And the price was waaay high for it being a basic hotel. Just because its downtown. I still drove to everywhere I wanted to go. Breakfast was good though.

We checked in Wednesday around 3 pm after driving around 540 miles. Great location on the 10th floor in downtown Memphis facing the Mississippi River. You can see Arkansas on the other side of the river. We are walking distance to everything downtown. Neat clean hotel, very helpful nice desk clerks, but lousy wifi connection. Breakfast is included with underground parking for $10/day with in and out privileges. The top floors 10-12 & 14-15 are hotel rooms. I just found out they don't use the 13th floor (superstitious)

Went to Memphis on s girls trip. Didn't expect a lot based on Comfort Inns I have stayed at in the past. This hotel got good reviews so we took a chance. The staff was so kind, friendly and helpful. Pay extra for the river view, totally worth it. After a busy day in Memphis, the Civil Rights Museum, Tea at The Peabody and BBQ on Beale street we took an Uber back to hotel and enjoyed the light show on the bridge outside our window. Good breakfast included and cheap parking. Highly recommend!

View from our room - 14th floor - beautiful!

I had seen a few 'You Tube' videos about The Peabody and was very excited to be stopping here even if it was for just 30 minutes. We were not staying here but I wanted to walk the downstairs just to get an idea of this place. It truly is a wonderful-old-oppulent place where you can just see and feel the history around you. The dim lighting along with the dark woods just send you back in time. Our purpose to come to The famous Peabody hotel were to see the ducks. We came to late to see them come into the pool and too early to se them leave but just watching them splash around and have what looked like a really good time was fun. (See photos) The layout of the lower level is beautiful and I just explored until finally making my way to the gift shop. They have a pretty extensive collection of anything Memphis and I would up walking out with an "Elvis Duck" for my collection. If you come to Memphis make sure you stop by, even if you're not staying here. It's worth it.

We opted to upgrade to the Club Level Rooms on the 12th floor. The 12th floor is very exclusive. There is a private lounge and dining area on this 12th floor. There is a breakfast served daily and also an appetizer/charcuterie reception daily in the Club Level. It is very much worth the upgrade. The convention spaces at this wonderful hotel are very spacious. The history of the hotel and its "Peabody Ducks" are the show stoppers. Everyday there is a "Duck Parade/March" in which the Duckmaster and retrieves the ducks at 11a from their duck sanctuary on the top floor of the hotel. He brings them down the elevator to the lobby and they march on the red carpet into the famous and ornate Peabody Fountain. Then, at 5p the Duckmaster comes to retrieve them and does another "Duck March" back to the elevator to take back up to the duck sanctuary. People travel from all over the world to witness and participate in this ceremony. They have honorary duck Masters, people who have waited years, who practice the ceremony with the Peabody Ducks and Duckmaster. Everything was so well appointed and very ornate. There is also a history of the hotel that plays on the video in each room. If you have an opportunity in your lifetime to stay at this hotel and enjoy the amenities, I highly recommend it. There is also a pool and an athletic club on the lower level. I didn't have a chance to get to that area, but that was one of my goals so I have to save that for the next time I visit. Overall, the Club level King Room, the Club Level, and everything about our stay was 5-Star. The Bell Desk has Jeffrey who was outstanding at getting our bags upstairs to our room. The hotel registration process was seamless with Diamond handling all of our details and upgrade to a Club Level Room. Diamond's customer service was EXCELLENT and she made me feel welcome and valued as a hotel guest. Charles, we assume he is the lead Concierge, at the Valet area was professional and he made things happen for all of the guests. We are so impressed.

Able to walk to Sun Studio 0.8 mile away, Charlie Vergoss Rendezvous (but there's better food to be had than there), Peabody Hotel is a block away. One downside: Lyft drivers seemed confused about where to drop off or pick up, usually stopping on the other side of Peabody Place. The back courtyard entrance of the hotel, near the parking garage, is somewhat hidden even when I gave the Lyft drivers directions. Clean - including the top of the shower curtain railing, I checked. Housekeeping - didn't need cleaning or bedding changing, just a change of towels. The young housekeeping black man(forgot his name) was very personable and accommodating. Breakfast buffet - the two women worked hard, constantly keeping the area clean and tidy, having food out, and taking our plates away when done. Standard fare - eggs (omelet or scrambled), sausage links or patties, potatoes, do it yourself waffles, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, coffee & tea & juice. Fruit was not ripe. The design is clean and considered warm tones, thoughtful finishes, the kind of contemporary aesthetic that feels curated rather than assembled. You don't walk into a lobby that's trying to impress you; you walk into one that welcomes you. There's a difference, and it matters. The rooms carry that same sensibility. Comfortable in the truest sense not merely adequate, but genuinely restful. The kind of bed you sink into and feel the day release from your shoulders. The kind of space that says you're taken A genuine hospitality that feels rooted in the city itself rather than scripted by a brand manual. Memphis has always been generous that way, and the Canopy reflects it. And then there's the catfish. I don't say this lightly: the catfish here is worth the trip on its own terms. Crisp where it should be crisp, tender where it should yield -- it carries that deep Southern confidence that reminds you food can be both humble and extraordinary at the same time. It's the kind of dish that makes you set down your fork for a moment, not because you're finished, but because you want to be present for it. The restaurant and bar have an 18% auto gratuity that was not disclosed until I received my check. Have they not added the gratuity to it, I would've tipped my standard 20%. Probably the biggest issue I had was the lack of hot water. When I contacted the front desk, the agent informed me that I would need to run the shower for an average of 15 to 20 minutes for the hot water to start, which is ridiculous that they do not have a larger enough boiler to accommodate the entire hotel property. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she told me that they were not available and that if I have further concerns, I need to take it up with the hotel general manager in the morning. No compensation was offered, and she said there's no point in moving rooms because the hot water situation will be the same regardless of the room chosen.
