My husband and I recently made a trip to Memphis. We were not familiar with places to stay but wanted to be able to walk to some of the attractions. Had no idea what arrive was and had never heard of it. We could not have been happier! We brought our French bulldog with us, and the staff made us feel so welcome. The building is an old factory turned into a hotel so it's very industrial which I think is a cool aspect. Instead of carpet, it's concrete floor floors with a area carpet. I especially appreciated this! Carpets and hotel rooms always tend to freak me out a bit. When we walked in, there was a big comfy bed for our puppy with a new toy, homemade biscuits and ceramic food and water bowls! The civil rights Museum and blues Hall of Fame are practically next-door. Highly recommend the civil rights museum. Staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly. Love this place! A converted warehouse so the floors are concrete but it is so cool! Bed is comfy, staff is nice and convenient location. The view from our room is the building next door but we did opt for the least expensive room so not unhappy with that. Shower is huge. Just love this place. Great hotel with a very nice trendy cozy bar. We didn't try the bar food, but it looked quite tempting. I wanted Memphis style barbecue so we went across the street and had some that was ok.. Jordan, our bartender, was fantastic sadly, it was his last few days, so I can't speak for the rest of the staff, but his service stood out. I hope this place understands the bar staff really do add to the environment and enjoyment of the stay here. His Old Fashioned was excellent, and the smoke from the charred wood detail is a must-have! I hope it's something the other bartenders continue. Elevator access was smooth and problem-free, despite a previous review that had me slightly concerned. The bed was quite comfy but also very firm, which may not suit everyone. Another downside was the lack of charging ports; we forgot two charging bases, but luckily made do by charging our watches first. They only gave us one robe and no slippers while keeping in mind the cement floor is quite cold. Not a problem for me but my bf wishes they had slippers since his culture it's usually an optional offering... The room was clean tidy and pretty cool looking. Wish I took more pictures. Beware of the valet company this hotel contracts with - LAZ Parking. We parked our rental with them our first night there and didn't touch the car until it was brought for us to leave the city 39 hours later and there was a gigantic crack in the windshield running up from the bottom to the middle. Despite having a video of an undamaged vehicle before handing over the keys to valet, their claims department is denying negligence so I'm out my $1000 insurance deductible as well as the $34 a night the hotel charges for valet. The hotel pushed us off to LAZ and were no help. Unfortunately this experience ruined the hotel for me. read more

The property was excellent from a cleanliness perspective and offered all expected amenities. The TV was weird though, but who is watching tv in a hotel except me? Boring, I know. The bar is a small but mighty an most nights have some theme and that pizza is chef's kiss. The cocktails are amazing, whether ordered from the menu and to your own design/liking. I look forward to staying here again and was pleasantly surprised at the value of the location. Property is smaller than imagined, but this is merely an observation. Was excited to visit this hotel for a work trip based on reviews I read. I arrived and headed inside to check in. You'll notice this building is old, and the lobby was decorated nicely. Because I was early for checkin I opted to grab something to eat. When I ordered I headed over to the checkin desk which shares a space with the restaurant. They quickly greeted me and I was able to check in earlier than anticipated. I was given my keys and headed to the third floor. I always bring cleaning supplies with me to clean the room and surface clean. When I was spraying the bed I noticed a large stain on the duvet, so I called down to the front desk and they gave me the option to either switch rooms to the first floor or remain in my room and have housekeeping change out the bedding, I opted for staying in my room. After about a half hour, I still hadn't heard from anyone so I went downstairs just to see when someone would be up, the front desk person mentioned they just called their manager and someone should be up shortly. About 15 minutes later a gentleman came up, I showed him the stain and he said he'd be back to grab another cover. He came back changed the cover and was pleasant. I went back to spray down the bedding when I went by the bed to see a set of false eyelashes. I called downstairs again and asked to be moved, since I don't think this room was clean. The person I spoke with said she'd check to see if she had another room not on the first floor and found one on the same floor I was on. She said she'd be up to deliver my keys and check the other room to make sure this one had been cleaned. She came up about 10 min later with another set of keys and apologized for the room not being clean and moved me to the other room. The other room appeared to be clean, but in all honesty, I didn't have a lot of confidence that the room was totally clean. I wound up still cleaning the surfaces (fingerprints on the mirror in the bathroom, some of the light switches were dirty). From a location perspective, this hotel was great, near both the civil rights museum and the blues hall of fame, and less than a mile from Beale Street, but from a cleanliness perspective, it was sub par. The bed was pretty comfortable, the room looked cool and had a loft vibe, I just wish from a cleaning perspective, it was cleaner and the attention to detail was better. read more

Beautiful boutique hotel. It was a factory way back when, then a museum and now a hotel, restaurant and bar. Industrial elegance at its finest. *huge bonus* secure safe parking garage for your automobile. Other hotels have good reviews but rife with stories of people's cars being vandalized on a frequent basis. Eugene the valet guy is awesome during the day and Parker is great as the night man. My only critique is they have cashless pay and no bell help to haul your luggage to and from your room. For that $$$ price they should have one. The downtown location is great and close to everything you might want to do on your visit. However, no convenient stores nearby. Coffee downstairs is great and appreciated the tables outdoors to sit at in the morning. The bartenders were all very friendly and made great drinks. The bar was quiet most nights, but had tons of people come Friday night. Housekeeping staff were all friendly and front desk was responsive to requests. No safe in the room and the refrigerator is stocked with their own mini bar items, so no space for your own things unfortunately. read more

Super cute and likely the best hotel in town. Location: a lil sketch at night but Memphis is just sketch in general. Be wise. Close to the river and to Lorraine motel, Central BBQ and Beale St. Home run! Parking: $27 overnight and it's in a closed garage around the way near the train tracks so request your car in advance as it takes time. And it's safe. Food: on a Mon or Tues good luck! Everything is closed nearby. Plan accordingly this was a big bummer and point of frustration. They serve tea coffee and a few baked goods at the hotel but that's it. Lobby: very cute areas all over at the bar or in general in and outdoor to relax, drink tea coffee or a beverage of choice eat a small snack, frolic, fellowship, or read a book. Spend time there so cute! The room: I was in room 401 which was a corner room facing the railroad with a beautiful bathroom etc. they provide all you need! Bed was super comfy as were the pillows. Cute old school radio which you can use the aux cord to connect to. Old school red refrigerator which has plenty of space. A great office desk and chair and huge TV. Loads of light and blackout blinds too. Couch was super comfy! Tiled floors require socks or slippers so bring them but very easy to roll luggage. Bed has a nice cotton heavy blanket as needed. Love this place! Advice for the hotel: Have a list of places to eat based on when things are opened or closed. Add hooks in the bathroom for towels and robes. The shower is stately, but the shower heads are tiny. Look into turning the lights into a rain shower head or change the current one to be wider and stronger. read more

Worst customer service ever. I am trying to get a receipt for a previous stay there. They said they would email it to me which they did not. So I called the local number and an AI person came on and told me to call customer service and text me the number. I called the number and they just keep disconnecting me. So I called back the local number. If you want a real laugh call the number 901-443-6012. You get an AI bot that is hilarious but useless. I called multiple times and get the same voice but a different name (too funny). So finally the "person" said they would get a person to help me get my receipt. They just hang up (did it three times). The hotel isn't that great anyway. Suggest a different hotel. read more

Arrive was a stay at home! Since the pandemic, I've been feeling trapped because I cannot travel like I used to. I decided to book a staycation and Arrive was a great choice. The check-in process was seamless and covered all COVID-19 protocols. Don't be alarmed by the text messages you receive. This is how you communicate with the hotel. I am not sure if this is the case because of covid or something new. The king room offered a studio apartment feel, and I felt like I was at home. This room provides your everyday things- TV, remote, toiletries, etc. And the bonus was the robes! Because of Covid, there weren't any glasses or ice buckets. You had to get them from the front desk, which I thought was a great idea. The parking garage doesn't look like much, but it was free! There is a bar, lounge, and food area that offers bagels, muffins, and evening orders. You really got the overall experience of the downtown stay and relaxation. All in all, I would recommend Arrive if you're local and need a getaway. Excellent for out of towners too. read more

The people here are spectacular. Everyone we talked to was wonderfully warm, friendly, fun, and helpful. (I don't usually start hotel reviews with comments about the people, but they really were excellent!) This is a beautiful industrial-modern hotel. (At least "industrial-modern" is how my brain saw it.) It's clean and cool throughout the building, with fun details like the room numbers projected onto the wall by light through a metal stencil. (The room numbers are in at least a couple of locations and styles for ease of use.) We chose a "large studio" room for a few-day stay and found it to be _huge_ for two of us. The rooms have comfortable, straightforward furniture - bed, bedside tables, desk, desk chair, reading chairs - and plenty of open floor. Speaking of the floor, it's a wonderfully cool concrete floor, with a colorful rug under the bed. The exposed brick and painted ceiling with a few exposed pipes - perfectly quiet - complete the industrial look. There's a small open closet area, and there are also hooks on the entryway wall. In a fun, practical addition, three farmhouse doors in and around the bathroom allow for varying levels of privacy and natural light. The giant window that stretched across most of our room overlooked Main St. and gave us a pretty view of the surrounding area and the Memphis skyline. The location is very good. It seemed to be in an old area of 'downtown,' which seemed to be undergoing a broad renovation, along the industrial-modern theme. The hotel is located about a block from the poignant and fascinating National Civil Rights Museum, with numerous restaurants nearby. The hotel's two restaurants are very good: Hustle & Dough coffee shop (outstanding coffee - especially the Costa Rican blend - and plenty of wonderful pastries) and Longshot shuffleboard/shufflepuck restaurant/pub (family friendly). (There's also Bar Hustle in the lobby in the evenings, which has a great reputation, but it was closed before 9:30pm on a Wednesday evening when we thought it closed at 10, so we missed out. They did have excellent liquor on display though.) The lobby area is bright from large windows and full of assorted plush seating options. When the trolley's running, there's a stop immediately in front of the hotel. I chose to use the convenient valet parking as I didn't plan to use my car for several days, but there also seemed to be plentiful metered street parking. (I don't know about the times or prices of the latter though.) I look forward to staying here again! read more

South Main is my favorite neighborhood in Memphis and I'm so glad this hotel is here! I recently stayed for a few nights while in town for a graduation and really enjoyed my stay. The room was so nice: a great size, with a big comfy bed and big shower. I loved all of the natural light. The staff we interacted with in the lobby were extremely helpful and nice, as was the valet team ($25 per day to valet). Not to mention there's an awesome coffee shop in the lobby as well as a restaurant connected to the building, though I didn't have the chance to try it. Sad I missed out on their pizza Wednesday nights! One thing I thought was cool about this hotel was that you could text them when you needed anything. Need your call pulled around? Shoot them a text! Checking out? Text. Overall, super nice and comfortable stay. Great location that's walkable to Civil Rights Museum, the river walk, as well as some great bars and restaurants. Stayed at ARRIVE for one nite during Covid. In times like these you worry about their procedures etc. and after reading up on theirs they seem to be doing everything right. Prior to arrival we got a text explaining their parking situation (free covered parking was included). Check in was efficient and smooth and included a complimentary beverage which I selected a much needed beer after a long drive. Dogs are welcome and free of charge. The one issue I had throughout was the lobby itself. The check in desk doubles as a coffee cafe counter so it's very crowded and cramped making it hard to social distance. The lobby also houses their full service bar. So no matter the time of day the narrow lobby is filled with people drinking or eating. I didn't feel very Covid safe coming in and out of the building with so many unmasked patrons (removed to eat/drink) and it didn't seem like there wasn't any sort of limit to occupancy in the seating areas and at times it was too crowded. The room itself was very clean and well decorated. The warehouse style accommodations had windows that open which was nice during Covid to have fresh air circulating. I really loved the decor in the rooms and throughout the hotel, great use of patterns. Nice bedding, toiletries etc. One issue we had was the TV they use Apple TV although it wasn't signed in so it didn't work. I was able to use a workaround and cast my phone to their TV but they defiantly need to fix that. I would stay here again because of the free parking and no pet fee...a sold 4 stars for me. read more

Loved this hotel! It has a cool vibe, and our room was chic, clean and very comfortable (especially the bed). It's in a perfect location in the Arts District, right by the Civil Rights Museum and Arcade Restaurant, walking distance from Beale St. and downtown, and has a trolley stop right out front. Nice coffee shop and bar in the lobby, and another fun restaurant/bar in the building. I ended up having to extend my stay to quarantine when I got COVID, and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I hope to be back minus the COVID! read more

First, the staff we interacted with were incredibly nice. The problems were with the hot water and TV. When we got to our room and attempted to use the remote, we could not get the TV to come on. When we were heading out for dinner, we asked about the TV. The nice man at the desk said he would run up and check while we were out. So we arrived back after about three hours, and he hadn't been able to check the TV as they had been very busy. He immediately went upstairs and when he came back down, he said he had to enter a code, but now the TV was on. When we turned off the TV that evening then tried to turn it back on in the morning, the same thing happened. Nothing would turn on the TV. We were checking out, so we didn't bother with it. The other issue was the hot water in the shower. It took about 15 minutes for the water to get hot enough to take a shower. My husband went to ask about it while I stood freezing under tepid water, and the front desk said that was common when they were completely booked and it often took 15 minutes for hot water!! This hotel is about $300 a night which doesn't feel great to pay when the basics like TV and hot water are issues. read more

Loved staying at AArive Memphis and looking forward on staying again while visiting the city. We are fans of Boutique Style Hotels so AArive was perfect for my Husband and I. Before we even reached the front desk we were greeted by security outside. The staff at the front desk were wonderful as well and made sure we were well aware of the amenities and information we may need. We are very easy going guest. All we ask for is a clean room and the cleaning staff of the hotel was wonderful! We always ran into the staff making sure that the cleanliness was up to a high standard. The gentleman with the long locs, who we ran into often was always friendly and is one of the staff members we witnessed taking care of the upkeep. The coffee was really tasty and the Trolly runs right in front of the Hotel. I highly recommend First time visitors to Memphis to stay here. I moved the trash can out so it house keeping staff could pick it up on the next cleaning. They didn't. I eventually pulled the bag and tied it up set it on top of the trash can, and texted through the hotel texting system for them to come get it. They promptly did, of course, but the point is how does housekeeping staff miss that? The restaurant is below the main lobby, but it's a very trendy restaurant/bar that is generally packed. We got to the hotel very late, and the front desk worker was so nice and let us in. We have 3 dogs and for the first time ever in a hotel, they were all greeted with big smiles and lots of compliments :) the lobby was absolutely beautiful. The check in process was super easy, even though we didn't have the correct card, it was a very easy solution! We got checked in the hotel in under 10 minutes. Our room... speechless. So beautifully decorated, the layout of the room was so cool and modern! The snack and beverage selection in the room were also immaculate.. anything you could imagine. We were blown away. The bed was extremely comfortable. We slept like babies. The coffee shop had the most delicious Ham and Cheese hand pies, and our barista suggested a fancy espresso that was divine. I decided last minute to drive into Memphis for my birthday and stay the night. I pulled up to Arrive and was met by a friendly Valet attendant who helped me unload and showed me to the front desk. The lobby was busy with guests mingling at the bar and Ladytron was on the sound system. I did have to wait about 10 minutes before someone came to the front desk which I thought was unusual. But when she did come she was very nice and offered a complimentary beverage. I was given a room and wow was it gorgeous. Absolutely amazing accommodations. I had never been to Memphis so I had to sight see, otherwise I would have stayed in the beautiful hotel all evening! The bed was very comfortable, shower was awesome, and I loved the little amp Bluetooth speaker. Very nice touch. I will be back and I hope it's soon!! What a fabulous stay! We were so glad we canceled our other reservation to take advantage of this hotel. The decor is modern mid century industrial - very artsy and creative. The service is super friendly and helpful (at the front desk). The rooms are clean and you have everything you need/want. The beds are comfortable and the hotel was rather quiet with black out curtain, great for your zzzs. The cafe and bar area is chic and the coffee is great. They don't have machines in the rooms but you don't need it. It's worth going downstairs to grab a quality cup. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Got recommendations on dinner and parking. We were on the 4 floor, elevator was a bit odd to walk thru the first floor rooms hall to access, but not bad. Elevator was spacious and very quick. Liked all the modern flare of this hotel. Room was very well appointed and met our needs exactly. Loved the concrete finishes, large windows, fun pad! For me, maybe the most important thing about a hotel in a town I'm not familiar with is the helpfulness of the staff in telling you about their town. In this category, ARRIVE Memphis knocked it out of the park. I arrived on a Sunday night in late April (2021) for a two-night stay. While the Covid quarantine was beginning to lift slightly, lots of places were still closed. I told the night manager that I would love to see some live music in a small club while I was in Memphis, but that I knew that was probably asking the impossible since I was too fried to go out on Sunday night and finding anything on a Monday night is usually nearly impossible, even pre-Covid. But she dove right in, furiously googling away and came up with a list of about ten clubs that might have music (and put in a strong recommendation for Memphis' indy rap scene). Unfortunately, when I tracked down all ten clubs on Google, it appeared I was right. None of them seemed to have any music available on Monday night. The next day I mentioned my strikeout to the night manager (who also appears to be a day manager) and she said, "That won't do." She did some more furious googling and some texting and said, "Go here." She sent me to B-Side, where a very tight five-piece band was playing for a total of 8 customers. It was my first live music club since Covid and I was in heaven, thanks to the nice lady staffing the night desk at ARRIVE Memphis. It would be nice to have a drinking glass in the room though. I had one in my luggage with me, so it wasn't terribly inconvenient for me, but I don't think I've ever seen a hotel at any price range without a drinking glass or cup before. A hot water heater would also be nice. (UPDATE: I see from other reviews that the water glass issue is a temporary Covid measure, which I hope is solved by now.) But those are minor quibbles that are far outweighed by the superior service. And the little mini-Marshall speakers in the room had great sound. read more

Just wanted to show Tiara from the late night front desk so much love! Super warm, efficient, and personable! She really took my stay from good to great. The room was fantastic, many pictures taken as future interior design inspiration. Very comfortable bed and pillows, super spacious basic room and just so much kindness and friendly "hellos" throughout the entire stay. One of the best hotels I've stayed at for work travel with a huge work desk and enough space to spread out. Beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Very bought into the arrive brand now. read more
