Check out receipt showing $75 PER PET fee we were charged for our one night stay!
Rebeca H.

Beware of pet fee scam!! This is not advertised on the Hilton app/website anywhere but they charge $75 PER PET instead of the normal/expected and advertised $75 per stay fee. The hotel was warm throughout and took all evening to get the room to a decent air conditioned temperature. The rooms are very small and have no closet, just hanging space on the far wall.

This location is not safe!! my car was one of 8 broken into over night. According to Memphis police, 4 cars parked in the exact same location were broken into the night before. The hotel did not feel it was necessary to warn guests. They did have an overnight security guard but he was in the lobby, even when the car alarms started going off. Staff was helpful with cleanup after the fact, but I was still out the cost of my room and the cost of replacing a car window. Hilton would do nothing to help and keeps closing the case without communicating with me.

Check-in was easy and fast by friendly and informative staff. There were complimentary cookies in the lobby on the Friday evening when we checked-in. The check-in staffers were very efficient, friendly and accommodating. While the lobby was small, the space was used very efficiently with the smart placement of furniture. The non-smoking room with a King-sized bed was nicely furnished and decorated. The entryway was a bit tight because our room had a door that connected it to the next room. Because of that door, the closet was on the other side of the room next to a desk work area. While this seemed sort of strange to place the closet on the other side of the room from the door, the placement worked with the design of the room. There was a full-length mirror also on that side of the room with the closet. This made the area a natural dressing area because the closet and mirror were placed conveniently close to one another. The bathroom was reasonably-sized and nicely updated with clean lines and light colors. The bed mattress was firm, the bedding was clean (by clean, I mean no visible spots or stains were on it) and the pillows were plentiful and soft. I had a very comfortable sleep, as usual when I stay at a Hampton Inn. Likewise, with the lobby, the small breakfast area made good use of the space. All the typical hot and cold things that Hampton offers were available. One remarkable standout was the eggs. They were REAL with added cheddar cheese and they tasted scrumptious. Actually, they were the best eggs I've ever tasted from a hotel free breakfast. Overall, the stay and experience at this Hampton was very satisfying. I will stay here again on a visit to Memphis.

I stayed here on business travel - the location was close to my office location and I typically try to stay within the Hilton family of hotels. We checked in a little past 9PM and didn't have the best customer service experience with the front desk. She was rushed and aggressive though we had already check-in via the mobile app and had our digital room keys. She then realized she didn't even need to speak to us. The hallway and flooring going up to the elevators (located in the back of the building) were quite dirty. My room was small and had some recent renovations which are nice. It was clean but it was odd that there was no closet in the hotel room. It was all I needed to stay in the room for about 10 hours. The one thing to definitely be aware of is BRING EARPLUGS because this hotel is near a railroad. Even with the air conditioner on and my white noise app playing, it could still hear the train blaring. I would return here again due to the proximity to my office, but if you're looking for a large relaxing room to a look at a different property.

Probably the smallest room at a Hampton that I have ever stayed in. I'm glad I am an early riser the train must really be an inconvenience for those that like to sleep past 3:30 AM. I found the constant train traffic to be annoying, especially with them blowing the whistle throughout the night. The room itself is very small and cramped for more than one person. The staff was friendly.

The hotel itself offers large, clean, and spacious rooms, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. Everything felt well-maintained, and the rates were excellent for the quality provided. Now let's talk about the food--because it definitely deserves recognition. The salmon bites were absolutely delicious, and the cheesecake was just as impressive. The catering throughout the event was well-executed and flavorful, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. The event space was also well done. The setup was clean, organized, and created a great atmosphere for the conference. The vibe throughout the weekend was positive and engaging, and the DJ really brought it all together with a great mix of music across multiple genres. Spacious, clean rooms Excellent pricing for the stay Delicious catered food (salmon bites + cheesecake standout) Well-organized event space Great music and overall vibe This was a well-rounded experience, and I would definitely stay here again--whether for an event or just a getaway

The rooms have always been clean and offer some great views of the city or river on the higher floors. If you want more space I recommend going for 2 queen bed room as the King rooms while lovely can be tight. It is a little further from Beale street than most downtown hotels which is a plus for me. The South main area has many cute shops and dining options still in walking distance to enjoy plus a grocery store around the corner if needed.

***Good location***…read more Go down the block and you're right at Beale Street. FedEx Forum is across the street. Baseball stadium is diagonally across the street. Able to walk to Sun Studio 0.8 mile away, Charlie Vergoss Rendezvous (but there's better food to be had than there), Peabody Hotel is a block away. One downside: Lyft drivers seemed confused about where to drop off or pick up, usually stopping on the other side of Peabody Place. The back courtyard entrance of the hotel, near the parking garage, is somewhat hidden even when I gave the Lyft drivers directions. Clean - including the top of the shower curtain railing, I checked. Housekeeping - didn't need cleaning or bedding changing, just a change of towels. The young housekeeping black man(forgot his name) was very personable and accommodating. Breakfast buffet - the two women worked hard, constantly keeping the area clean and tidy, having food out, and taking our plates away when done. Standard fare - eggs (omelet or scrambled), sausage links or patties, potatoes, do it yourself waffles, oatmeal, breads, yogurt, coffee & tea & juice. Fruit was not ripe. Room- the *best shower water pressure* I've ever felt! A night light was in the bathroom, a considerate feature when the room lights are off. Above the center night stand, the electrical outlet on the left needed occasional jiggling to maintain a connection, I forgot to tell the front desk about this. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. A/C worked well. One con: inquired about late checkout as a Hilton Honors member and was told it was not possible. That's the first time I was ever told that.

It benefits from a great location being within steps of Beale Street, and both Grizzlies and Redbirds games! It's also quiet on the upper floors, and the breakfast is spectacular as always. Parking will set you back $26 every 24 hours and an additional hourly charge for staying past 1:00 p.m. the following day. So yeah, you pay for the location. It's not a great bargain for the price. But it's good enough if you want to stay in the heart of Memphis. The music from Beale Street is loud throughout the night, but the hotel is kind enough to provide earplugs in your room. That leaky toilet will keep you up all night, though! And the outlets are so stripped, you'll get an unpleasant surprise in the morning when you realize your devices haven't recharged!! That was the worst aspect of this hotel!!

I have the ability to choose my own room based on what I booked. I chose the corner room because typically they are larger, but come to find out that this particular room is much smaller than the standard kings elsewhere in the property, and the photos do not apply to the room type that I booked. I'm a Hilton diamond member, and anticipated an upgrade, which was not available, even though the hotel was not sold out. The restaurant and bar have an 18% auto gratuity that was not disclosed until I received my check. Have they not added the gratuity to it, I would've tipped my standard 20%. Probably the biggest issue I had was the lack of hot water. When I contacted the front desk, the agent informed me that I would need to run the shower for an average of 15 to 20 minutes for the hot water to start, which is ridiculous that they do not have a larger enough boiler to accommodate the entire hotel property. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and she told me that they were not available and that if I have further concerns, I need to take it up with the hotel general manager in the morning. No compensation was offered, and she said there's no point in moving rooms because the hot water situation will be the same regardless of the room chosen. While this property was in policy within my corporate travel guidelines, I will not be staying here again.

She was very friendly and helpful, she offered some really good suggestions for things to do/see. The room was the biggest room I have ever had in a hotel in my life and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. I can assure you that I did not select the highest room class when I booked this either. The thing was literally a LOFT with the bed and bathroom above the kitchen/living room area. There were large windows that provided a view of the city and even the river! The shower was great as well. There was plenty of space for using your own soaps. The water pressure was also better than expected. The shower was easy to use and figure out the towels were big and soft. Everything was spotless. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
