Key lime shine is amazing Butter pecan is very nice Butter scotch is very nice S'mores whiskey is goood Smoking hot honey is interesting as hell Machismo cherry is delicious( kinda hard to f&&& that up tho, right?) Beats cotton candy flavored wines that they sell around this place. All flavored wines. Or at least most of them were grossly synthetic tasting syrupy even in slushy form and costs like 25$?!!! These moonshines costs like that too 27$ ish. I dont really like moonshines, i am a wine person and occasional beer and cocktail person-but the taste tasting guy was so likable and the whole experience was fun we bought six to share between four family members. This is a must stop! The moonshine tasting was an awesome experience. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did! The bartender was amazing and mixed up the most delicious flavors for our tastings. It's almost like a show! He mixed two different moonshines in almost every tasting. A cream and a regular usually. But then there were even more special tastings like a moonshine Bloody Mary with pickle juice. So good! We got a six pack of samples to bring home and I can't wait to try even more combinations. Always a must stop when in the area! Free whiskey tastings and discounts for military! This year they had the banana moon pie and it is definitely a must try! I really love everything about this place. The whiskey tasting is extremely fun and you get to pick five flavors from a list of so many different things. All of the workers are extremely knowledgeable and patient with all tourists. Compared to other whiskey tastings, this one is the absolute best. Highly recommend adding this to your itinerary. There are several locations throughout the pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, in Townsend area. We even tried some of the wine this year, the wine is located in the same building, and ended up leaving with quite a few bottles. Definitely a must try! read more

Nice place, helpful staff, tons of choices, tons of tasting opportunities, good stuff, I purchased the crème brûlée cream for a coffee mixer, it is great....got the maple moonshine, also very good, and the apple brandy which is okay. If your going by, stop in, easy off the interstate, and lots to see. read more

We visited TN Shine about 8 years ago and enjoyed their spirits, so we decided to visit again while we were in the area. This location is their first and is "off the beaten path." They have added wine to their product line. We did a shine and wine tasting. We did not like any of their wines. However, we found several shine choices very tasty. The customer service is not as good as the first time we visited. The store is very nice and the displays are very inviting. The rootbeer and peach are my favorites. Next time we will visit a location in town. read more

Nice that the tastes are free. 6 tasters and you get to pick what you want out of many flavors. I'm I diehard corn guy, so I stuck to the 100 and 135 proofs, the vodka and the bourbons.. All are very decent, very drinkable straight of would be excellent with a mixer.. All I have to say is wow !!! We stopped here on our way home from our Road Trip. The people that work there are so nice and were so helpful the entire time that I was there. They asked if I had questions and asked if I needed help several times. When you walk in the place smells so amazing and Adam out of variety that they have will blow your mind away. You can go broke here definitely! I read some of the reviews about people stating that the staff was rude but when I was there yesterday I have to say people just go in there to sample without purchasing anything. I was in there for a good 30 minutes and they probably had a good amount of people just coming in trying out whiskey, or wine. As a business owner it does get frustrating when people come in and take advantage of promotions. I definitely recommend this place as a pitstop on your road trip or visit to Tennessee! read more

They allow free samples of the moonshine but it was a small area and too crowded so we passed. The price for a mini is $6.49 which seems crazy expensive especially when I saw them at a liquor store for $3.99 but guess you are paying for the samples. Don't miss the moon pies!!! The staff here is very friendly and they know their product well. They answered all the questions I had about their liquor. Their cream flavors were amazing especially their key lime pie and banana pudding flavors. In addition they also have an amazing wine selection. Got there right at their closing...they were super gracious and did a bunch of pours and let us make a purchase. I like the 100 proof corn shine which is not available online so picked some up. Which you could buy their Bloody Mary mix on line but nope. Tip: make a Bloody Mary with their mix and jalapeño cornbread shine. Yumm read more

What an awesome place we stumbled upon heading back to our cabin! Free tasting and they were very generous! They had a deal buy 5 get 1 free on the bottles so my brother-in-law and I split the deal! First time here & no one there was following any CDC guidelines plus the old bearded man & the big baby or daddy of the wines have a combination of rudeness & arrogance that is a joke. My wife purchasing one of the wines that we tasted there but we opened today & taste like cranberry grape juice from Walmart.... best way to loose the money. Believe me you can purchase better wines from ALDI than here. The moonshine & whiskey there is between regular, bad thru what is that. Seriously this one was my FAVORITE if you only have time for one tasting .. this was the place if you like something that tastes good. We went to several moonshine tastings and this was my favorite! !! The lady was very nice and helpful we said we could each try 6 ... I lost count. Panty dropper was strongest tasting. .but the had several that were very yummy .. the newest flavor is butterscotch. . Yumm. This was the only place i found butterscotch and cream flavored ..if you mixed them both they taste amazing! like a buttery nipple shot. Want to go back and buy more for me and gifts. if you have never came here .. this was by far the best .. they had some that were really good which i wasn't expecting .. thought moonshine would taste bad ..soooo wrong. After a few stops with the tasting you realllllllly love this vacation. Gatlinburg charges for tastings but they give you a couple off your purchase to make up for it ... Sevierville and Pigeon forge it's flat out free . so skip tastings in Gatlinburg. makes awesome gifts ...one was panty dropper and another .. I think flaming orgasm or something similar .. what great gift idea for bridal shower or adult birthday. according to the girl who gave us our tasting .. they are one of the few that really make their own and it is smoother .. less rough burn .. the even invited us to their main store to see how things are made and get a tour we wouldn't forget. hate we didn't have time to take her up on it. how nice she was and not a big high pressure. read more

Awful experience at this place. The guy giving wine tastings knew nothing about the wine he was pouring (for example: thought a Riesling was a Concord). Then the bearded man who gave moon shine tastings was extremely rude and arrogant to those of us wanting to taste his gross room temp products. Pass on this place!!!! read more

It's a fun location with helpful and friendly employees. Got a wine tasting from Stacy and she was funny and enlightening. The legend known as "Biscuit" was also on form. Don't take his rhetoric too seriously as he's grizzly by design. I can't say that I tell a big difference between the moonshines here and the ones at other distilleries but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I will say that I was surprised that the wines here were better than several other of the local wineries so be sure to not overlook the smaller side room before you leave. read more

Wow!! The rudest employees ever. Came with a large group, 10 people not that large! Apparently we were too "loud" that he couldn't hear himself think. We were going to do a tasting and purchase. No words for the way we were just treated. Visit every year and spend a lot. Will NEVER return to this location. Do yourself a favor and find a different shine place! read more

While spending a weeks vacation in the mountains, we stumbled upon Wear Valley. This area in our opinion blows away Gatlinburgh and Pigeon Forge. Beautiful, beautiful views everywhere. While driving through this area, we stumbled upon the Tennessee Shine company. We are so happy we did...this moonshine blows away the touristy moonshine you get at Ole Smokey in Gatlinbugh. We tried several including a couple the bartender mixed up for us that included the Dream Cream and Carmel which tasted like a Werthers candy and also the Carmel with chocolate that tasted like a Rolo. I also sampled Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, the Dream Cream and many others. If you are in the area this is a must stop! read more

Really cute concept. My biggest issue, the service. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but the bartenders were rude. So rude 2 couples in my party didn't even end up ordering a drink. 3 stars because I'm giving the benefit of the doubt, but it definitely put a damper on my groups experience!

We chose the one where you get to try all of their available moonshines for $8 per person, so my mother and I decided to do that. The tasting itself felt very rushed and hard to keep up with. I wish they had taken a little more time to explain the flavors instead of just handing them out quickly and moving on. The employee helping us didn't seem very enthusiastic and gave off the impression that she didn't really want to be there that day. On a positive note, the inside of Ole Smoky Moonshine was very clean. They wiped down the counters after every tasting, which I appreciated. One downside for me was that you couldn't choose which flavors you wanted to sample -- they just served whatever was included in that tasting lineup. I felt that was a disadvantage because I don't want to buy something if I'm not sure I'll like it, and there were a few flavors I was hoping to try that either weren't available or just aren't carried at that location. I did enjoy the deals they had going on, which honestly caused us to buy more than we planned -- but the offers were too good to pass up. We ended up getting the cooler that came with two mini six-packs. I do wish we could've chosen the free sixth flavor ourselves, but I wasn't too upset since I did like the butter pecan. Still, it would've been nice to have more choice. When we went to check out, I still needed to pick three more flavors and asked for recommendations, but the employee didn't give much guidance and just said to get whatever I liked. I understand they were dealing with a very busy time, and she did mention that, but I wish there had been a little more enthusiasm and helpfulness overall. That said, the moonshine itself was good, and the tasting experience was enjoyable enough that I would definitely do it again. It convinced us to purchase moonshine that same day, which was a win. Overall, the experience was decent, but the staff interaction could have been much better.

He setup our taste where I got to signal once all pours were complete, "Bottoms up"! It was so much fun! Nevermind that this wine including the warmed drink was tasteful, sweet and no ill aftertaste. We decided to do the sampling at the recommendation of the 2 staff members there. We bought the sampling option $5 per adult, 8 samplings per adult not bad, for what you get. We went to the bar area and told to go to a kiosk to get tickets. We went and got the tickets, went to the bar, and stood there for a min, didn't get helped and the sampler server got summon to help a group of about 10 people wanting to do samplings. He left the sampling area, not acknowledging us, or setting us up before leaving. He was with the group for quite some time before we gave up went to the cash register, asked for a refund, and bought our bottles and left. I fully understand being understaffed, and having to juggle, but being ignored not even acknowledged, pass.
