This is your typical AYCE sushi restaurant. Not the best but not the worst. Came here for lunch on our way to Windsor on a Saturday of labour day long weekend. The location is convenient, just near the highway exit on 401. Easily accessible in case you're hungry, you can get here quick. When we got here, we got seated right away. It wasn't busy at all. For the food, expect your typical AYCE sushi. The seafood to rice ratio is what you would expect. Rice is a booming business while seafood is scarce. But seriously, the Salmon is really thin along with the other seafood. I gave 4 stars because they had Salmon Rose/Flower in the menu. I am a big Salmon fan. For the service, they actually exceeded my expectation. They are actually quick, didn't have to wait long for the food. This is another reason why I gave 4 stars. Disclaimer though... We came when it's not busy, so service is based on this fact. Overall, this place isn't too bad. We're from Chicago area and living in Detroit area. Not any all you can eat sushi places in Detroit area. We ventured over border after finding this place here in yelp. Glad we did. Been here twice in couple weeks. One time for dinner and once for lunch. Ayce menu is massive and everything we tried was very good, no complaints for lunch or dinner. You can weigh difference of 10cad for very similar, many more options for dinner with main one dinner has sashimi. We don't eat options other than what's in a normal ayce sushi but I'm thinking of maybe one of many other non sushi options next time. Hands down the best all-you-can-eat sushi in Canada. The service is quick and the food is high quality. My friend and I visit for lunch once a month. After going to another all-you-can-eat sushi buffet and was mildly disappointed, we found Tenko and fell in love. The sushi rolls tasted so much better. They have a wider variety of options which allowed us to try things we never had before. From the appetizers to the specialty rolls, there was so much to offer. We would come in hungry, but leave very full. I tried Avocado pizza for the first time, it was pretty good. The price is about $14 I believe and because we are US citizens we use our debit card to get the automatic conversion rates. We have to pay a small bank fee of .45 but its worth it. read more

This has been the second time We have gone for the all you can eat sushi. The servers are very friendly and easy to to talk to. We had, a bit of everything sushi, including a couple of hand rolls. Al I can say was they were huge, and it made eating them a bit awkward, but the server said they were made by the owner and not by the sushi chef, as he was busy with a table of 6 seated in front of us. Our server, Jason, remembered me from the first time we went and brought me out of of their spicy sauce, which I could sip through a straw. They have all the Covid protocols in place so you don't have to worry, and they have high walls between the booths so it almost feels line you are in alone. Went here for lunch all you can eat sushi special. If you're looking for mediocre sushi at a great price, this is your place. Lunch special is 14.99 all you can eat, this is only offered during a certain time. When you first get to the plaza, parking spots are very tight. Once inside the restaurant, we had to wait 2-3 minutes before we were acknowledge but it's fair because they were busy. The environment seems modern, great for families. They have a huge selection of appetizers and sushi. Their udon & ramein noodles were delicious. The cuts for the salmon, white tuna and krab were big which is great, but also their rice to fish ratio matched the big size. They have a lot to offer as tempura items (I found their tempura mushrooms and their deep fried salmon somewhat different in taste, I wouldn't order that again). Their deserts are nothing different than any other sushi place, but they did have tempura ice cream which I thought might be deep fried ice cream, this was just a vanilla scoop covered in panko bits. Overall, their customer service was great, their manager came over to each table 2-3 times asking how they are doing and how the food was. Every time a dish was finished, it would be taken away immediately. Parking was difficult and small but not the establishment's fault. Forget what you've heard, the difference between the old and new management is night and day. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was prompt and friendly. My fiancé and I opted for the all you can eat dinner and were not disappointed. The chicken teriyaki rolls were probably one of our favourites as we had two orders of them, and two orders of the cucumber and avocado rolls. Their dynamite rolls are also among my top picks, along with pretty much anything found on their specials menu. The only drawback? All of the ingredients in the specials aren't listed, so I was a bit dismayed when one came topped with mango as I'm allergic. Keep the following in perspective: 1) It's "All You Can Eat", and 2) It's Windsor. As for #1, when you go anywhere for all you can eat - regardless of the cuisine - it's extremely rare that you're going to get Michelin Star quality. With that in mind and knowing that the purpose is to have a sushi feast without breaking the bank, then Tenko is a good option. Yes, they can't always fill the orders perfectly (so order it again - it won't cost you more!), and yes - the service can be a little slow, but the selection isn't bad and its not often in all you can eat sushi places they include sashimi. You will get descent quality fish and lots of choices and you won't leave hungry. As for point #2, this is not a slight to Windsor but this is not a city known for its culinary prowess. So again, keeping that in mind it's nice that at least the option for an all you can eat sushi place with ok quality fish that won't make you sick exists. They're old school with the ordering style - pencil and paper - but they give you a few sheets so you can get seconds or dessert later. The sushi was good but the service is exceptionally poor. There's really no point in marking down your order on paper as they don't pay attention to what you write down anyway. They walk away as you are talking and don't seem to care very much what you half to say anyway. When plates come to the table they don't explain what the order is, and if you ask a question they just walk away as you're talking. The sushi here is great. The rolls are a tad on the big side, but not too big. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. They also have Chinese food here (wonton soup, chicken balls, etc). It's fresh and less heavy than traditional Chinese food. The service however is where this place is lacking. I had to ask where the rest of my food was and bring up my menu for them. Tenko sushi 2 months ago is nothing like today's tenko sushi!! They now have new owners and new staff. When I used to go there, it would constantly be a headache. There were annoyed staff members who would actually roll their eyes at the customers, and barely speak to them. It would actually hurt to tip. I walked in about 2 weeks ago, and they completely turned it around. Name tags, attentive service, friendly smiles!! I was actually confused, and asked the manager if they got new owners. She told me there were new owners and managers. Needless to say, I was overly impressed with their service! The food still tastes the exact same, and the menu has not changed. With this being an all you can eat place, the price is fair considering the variety and amount of sushi and asian options you can receive. It is not the best sushi I have ever had.. Went on a sunday night around 730. Not a lot of people. Quiet spot. It does get packed on fri and sat nights. The all you can eat for $20 is worth it. Menu has a lot of options other than just sushi or sashimi like general tao wings which are absolutely amazing we had to order it twice and also lots of chicken, beef and pork entrees and dishes too. Food was good and service was equally good. Not sure of other peoples experience but ours was great. Maybe due to it being not so busy. Rolls are quite good. Granted i have had better but its very very good for $20 and all you can eat. Recommend the mango crispy, double fire, windsor, fire mountain and california rolls. This was my first time to Tenko. I've got a fair amount experience eating sushi. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The waistress was friendly. It wasn't busy when I was there so I got my food quickly. The food was quite good for all you can eat sushi at $21. The sushi was fresh and tempura crisp. But I didnt get any sashimi sadly. I was on a shopping trip recently and decided to try this establishment for a late lunch, going for the all you can eat menu. After quickly getting my tea, I placed my order and it eventually made it to the table. The sushi selections were ok but nowhere near the upper end of quality I have been enjoying closer to home. On the other hand, it still beats a greasy burger joint. Now here is where they failed. I filled out my second order and placed it on the table for a server to retrieve. The place was almost empty now and they were doing cleanup and such, but they failed in their primary mission, serving a customer. I sat there for a good 20 minutes ignored and finally called out and waved. I got one of my four items and then nothing for 10 more agonizing minutes. That was enough so I got up and paid. It was then that I was told that a second item was ready so I went back and ate it. I sat there another 10 minutes after that and nothing again. Ice cream doesn't take that long! I have never been outwardly angry in a restaurant before and I ALWAYS tip, usually quite well. It was a busy day and I understand they were short staffed but we were served an hour after our order, we didn't receive everything and they weren't taking our second order and then the lunch buffet was done. I was HUNGRY leaving a buffet. We were served well after multiple groups behind us were served. I felt very ignored. They didn't even have any plates or cutlery out after we were served. I was so hungry I just used my hands. At the end I stood up with my hands on my hips and demanded a deduction because I didn't even eat half of what I normally do. She said she was giving me 15% off but I paid more than the lunch buffets price with taxes so I really don't think I got anything.
