Delicious sushi! Best in the area. I love their popcorn lobster roll and dragon roll. Expensive but worth it. Fast/kind service and cute restaurant or takeout spot. read more

We ordered the Nabeyaki ramen it was tasty but missing more veggies for my liking, We also ordered the Crispy chicken and added it to our ramen When I was eating the soup I realized it was missing the egg .so the waitress was asked the cook for the egg that was missing. All staff seemed nice. The dining room area was relaxing and the music was subtle which made the Ambiance nice. We also ordered the U of M roll. It was amazing the sauces they put on the sushi was perfect with the creamy cream cheese and crab in the eggs roll. The green tea here has to be one of the best ones I've tasted it... read more

Great food terrible service we waited for 10 mins before someone came over to bring water and a menu

The salmon was so delicious! I just felt that there was too much rice; the portions for every entree is quite large. However, the ambience was nice and the restaurant is large and clean. read more

My mother, daughter, and I were craving sushi, and Oyaki always hits the spot. One thing I really enjoy about this place is the realistic underwater screens they've added to the walls--it gives the whole space a relaxing, immersive vibe. We started with an order of fried dumplings as our appetizer and then shared four sushi rolls... but we were still hungry, so we ended up ordering four more! That's a total of eight rolls between the three of us. We like to mix it up--shrimp, fish, crab, and lobster rolls--so we get a little bit of everything. We always make sure to include a Philadelphia roll and of course, the classic California roll. The rolls were delicious as always, and we even had a to-go box of leftovers, which I brought home to my husband. The total came to about $120, but considering we mostly ordered specialty rolls, I think $30 per person was very reasonable. The quality and flavor are always consistent, and the sushi is well worth the price. Our waitress was nice and attentive she made us aware that Oyaki has a to-go location right next door, so if you don't feel like dining in, you can just grab your order and go--which is super convenient! read more

Wow! This is the most un-authentic place ever! My teriyaki chicken looked and tasted like chicken fajitas. If you are seeking an authentic experience, stay away from this place! Go to Novi. Being from California, Yelp failed me on this. The locals may like this place based on ratings but if you are use to authentic japanese, I would not recommend. read more

Really enjoyed my visit. The sushi was fresh, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was attentive. Highly recommended.

1st visit! I had dinner here on my way to Canada. (I found this location on Yelp) And because Oyaki Sushi had a vast amount of positive reviews I decided to try it. Sushi is one of those types of foods that is either good or is not. Strangely enough (in my opinion) the food at Oyaki was neither (it was not bad but it was not good) something about the flavors was off, if I had to pinpoint where the taste was off I would say it was the rice. The service was fast, the price of the food was incredible, as I have never been to a sushi place and spent under $70.00 for 2 people. The total cost for two at Oyaki was $36.98 in my opinion the price was a bargain. Ambiance was nice, location is easy to access specially for those traveling wanting easy access from freeway to local restaurants. read more

I will give them a star because it was Mother's day. Reservation for 530 it was 830 before we started to get food. Way overbooked way understaffed. We waited an hour to be seated with a Reservation and another 2 hours at a dirty section before a chef came to prepare our food. Chef was not interactive like many are he just cooked served and well did a couple tricks and that was it. Steak was grossly overcooked way too much rice the entire experience ruined what was supposed to be a Birthday Mother's day celebration. 5 people too much rice small portions of overcooked food for $250. Second time going there will never go again nor will the other 4 people with us. First experience was good this one horrible. read more

Oyaki sushi never disappoints. I have a few sushi places by me and this is definitely my preferred spot. I have been to Oyaki many times in the past few years and it is always very clean, has a friendly staff, and not over done decor to say. Also since I am vegan their menu has a few good options to choose from (I will usually order the A2C rolls, but before I became plant based I would really enjoy their Michigan roll and a lot of their sashimi. So if you're in the Dearborn or Dearborn Heights area and have a taste for some sushi this could be your place. read more

The service is fast and efficient. The atmosphere is quiet when you are in a booth you feel like you can have a conversation with the people at your table and not bother others. The sushi is very good. We had shrimp tempura roll, Cancun roll, Mexico's. Roll, lobster roll and Calamari roll. We also had the crispy chicken for appetizers. read more

Great sushi restaurant! The sashimi is so fresh, we also tried a couple different sushi, everything tasted so good. The fried Oreo and ice cream is the cherry on the top, a perfect end to our lunch. Hands down the best sushi I have ever had. Highly recommend the chili sauce roll they have, it blew me away. The manager gave us a free dessert with ice cream and fried Oreos and it was possibly the best dessert I've ever had. Hands down give this place a 10/10. The customer service was also excellent. Great atmosphere as well! I love the ambiance. read more

Food was amazing, was a long long wait.. it was not busy at all. Service could've been a bit better! The spicy tuna has been removed from the menu, changed to the spicy tuna avocado roll. We ordered some without avocado but none of it was spicy like usual also missing the spicy mayo on them. We got our appetizer before we received our Pepsi products/drinks. Short on straws..Forgot my soup, but brought me one on the house for the mistake which I really appreciate. The little things do matter especially when celebrating occasions. Nothing for birthdays really done no kind of offer/desserts when mentioned my dad's birthday. read more

Had dinner here 1 night that we were in town for a trade show at the Suburban Collection. There was about 10 of us. They accommodated us well. Service was very attentive and quick. We ordered a few appetizers and they were out soon. And dinner was out soon after. I got the spicy California roll and the chicken Yaki. It was very good and hot (as in temp). I enjoyed them. Everyone else also seem to enjoy their dinner as well. The dining room is large and not cramped. People seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was a healthy crowd for a Sunday. Overall nice find. The sushi was as good as it gets! Fantastic!! Service was great and since we were first time customers the manager brought out a free dessert, tempura fried Oreos and ice cream, never thought I'd have a fried Oreo, but it was excellent!! Thank you! The chicken fried rice and teriyaki salmon was also top notch. I asked to have AC turned warmer and they complied, as it was quite chilly. EXCELLENT PLACE!! GO BUCKEYES!! read more

Decided to stop in for lunch since I was stopping in at Krogers. They are in the same shopping plaza. I was surprised at the size and open modern look. I had the sashimi lunch and thought it was okay. It was missing the melt in the mouth feel I want from high grade sushi. I am always a little skeptical of sashimi cut in perfect rectangles. Prices are a bit high for the area and even more so for dinner. read more

When we got here this place was PACKED and when you see this usually means the food is really good. We had reservations so we got seated as soon as we showed up, we ordered a green tea to start and it is very good, we then ordered appetizers and I had the Miso Soup, Crab Rangoon and a small house salad. So the House salad was very delicious, I loved the sauce they use for dressing, it really made it stand out and the crab Rangoon was very tasty, you could actually taste crab in them so it wasn't imitation like some places you get and the Miso Soup is always very good any place you go. So then we ordered our sushi rolls, I got a White Castle Roll, Fireball Roll, and the Las Vegas Roll. So first thing I'm gonna say is I will not be getting the White Castle Roll ever again, it was NOT delicious and it looked like a mess and it tasted like a mess as well. 3/10 Now on to the Las Vegas Roll, this roll was delicious however the breading was a little dry & a little too thick on the bread. 7/10 Now for the Fireball Roll, this roll was very delicious, it had a ton of flavor and everything inside the roll flowed together perfectly. 10/10 I had to say that the food was really good here, the staff is AMAZING!! Our waitress was superb and the ambience of the place was phenomenal. This is a place I would eat again and again. read more

Best sushi ever!!!! Service is 10/10! Been coming here for the longest time. I've tried A LOT of sushi places but nothing tops Oyaki.

It was good. Nice portion size. I will go again. It was families including children, which surprise me that they liked sushi.

bad experience! I bought the most expensive one, they have some strange names but they don't even post a picture so the customer can see what they're buying, I was told there are several types of sushi. I paid a total of $155 for a boat with pieces of raw fish thrown at random and in the middle 5 sushi that tasted pretty good. a big bummer. Post pictures bro, you're in America, not Japan. read more

My husband and I are in town due to a family emergency and decided to stop in for dinner. We shared octopus salad, the popcorn lobster roll and a Queen roll. We also shared fish katsu. At the end of the meal, I realized that my miso soup never came out. I alerted our server and told him that I just wanted it as a to go order. Instead of bringing out a small container, he gave me a double order to enjoy later. It's a charming restaurant full of energy but quiet enough to enjoy. Thank you for the fantastic service. read more
