--Sushi pizza was delicious. The ingredients are standard, basically a sushi roll deconstructed, but the flavor and crisp were delightful. Fresh ingredients. Must have with the spicy mayo. I would definitely order again. I didn't see the sushi pizza on the menu, but I was easily able to request. --Avocado spiral, I would not order again. I found the flavor to be lacking luster and the brown sauce with it to be overly salty. To be fair, I had to have the spicy mayo on the side due to a food sensitivity, but even as I added it sparingly, it still didn't provide much. (UPDATE: Flavors must've marinated together because the next day it was just as delicious as Tai Fai in Ferndale!) --Miso soup (unpictured) was standard miso but still yummy. I could taste the freshness of the green onion and seaweed. Would order again. I came on a Sunday afternoon. Not very crowded and service was quick. Clean and plenty of seating.

    Sushi pizza it was delicious

Wanted to try sushi pizza and it was worth the trip. Also had a couple of others rolls they were delicious. If in the area and in the mood for sushi give them a try.

Not a fan of American sushi and this a solid example of that. Everything is cover heavy in sauce. Fish is thin, on purpose I guess to cut cost. Service is good. Water get refill and they have a lot of people working. If you like American style sushi then come here. If not then go somewhere else.

No disrespect to the staff or the arrangements that in itself was excellent. No alcohol at this establishment which I notice right away that wasn't a big hit with tourists. The food prep look average I didn't bother to take pics for the simple reason that the food had no taste. I mean even today I am not able to tell you how the Katana roll tasted like. It's too high price which made it less enjoyable. But then again it was a Monday. That is all. Chief Start your day off with a smile forget yesterday .

I stopped in to try the sushi pizza that's been getting a lot of coverage among my friends. When I went in, I was seated quickly. They have great customer service. There was a fair amount of seating available, and I was allowed to switch to the area I wanted to sit in which I appreciated. This restaurant is decorated nicely. I got my order pretty quickly. The sushi pizza is very tasty. I think they were a little heavy on the artificial crab. I think it has good flavor and a very crunchy crust. I would definitely order something different next time. I wanted to try it and once was enough.

    Agedashi Tofu

Xushi Ko, located close to the Ford campus of buildings in Dearborn, is a sushi restaurant that is definitely higher end than I anticipated. I wouldn't describe this place as "fast casual," but more of a proper sit down restaurant with nice booths and tablets for menus. My friend and I started out our meal with agedashi tofu. The ones at Xushi Ko are a lot larger than what I'm used to, with not a lot of the savory liquid to dip it in. The proportions here were off, so the tofu was relatively bland, but still yummy because you really can't go too wrong when it comes to tofu! Their menu is filled with more unique offerings when it comes to sushi. My friend and I came here namely for the "sushi pizza," an item that you don't even see listed on their lunch menu (only dinner), but that they can prepare for lunch if you ask for it. We had come here for lunch and were able to try it. The result? Absolutely scrumptious! The sushi pizza is ~$17 and you get a significant amount of food for that. It's a thin nori sheet layer (fried crispy/tempura-ed), a thin bed of sushi rice, then crab salat, avocado, and shrimp tempura finely chopped up on top with spicy mayo and eel sauce over all of it. It was a perfect balance of ingredients, nothing was too overpowering, and it was so fun to eat! The one downside is that there's no raw fish (salmon, tuna?) on this pizza and I would honestly pay a little bit more, say...$20?, to have some raw fish on this pizza as well! Speaking of unique offerings, I had also seen this avocado bomb on the menu that my friends who have been here before recommended us to try. The photo of it on the menu looked a bit overwhelming, but definitely intrigued us. Since we were already ordering the sushi pizza though, we decided against it, but I'd be open to trying the avocado bomb next time I come here. Instead, we went for another one of the more unique items on the menu - a roll called spicy tabboulie. It was a sushi roll (crab salad, tuna, etc.) with tabboulie and salsa (random) piled on top. It was a surprisingly fun mix of flavors and while I wouldn't necessarily order this one again, I'm glad I tried it. All in all, the food here is good! All the sushi ingredients we had tasted very fresh, the service was lovely, the ambiance was whatever (located in a strip mall/business based kind of area, while seeming a bit fancier on the inside, but still overall casual...so a bit confusing). I would definitely come here again as there is so much else on the menu that looked interesting that I would love to try at a later date!

Sushi pizza, split into two halves, and a spicy tabboulie roll

Came for lunch specifically to try their new "sushi pizza" and it did NOT disappoint. And for context, my favorite sushi is typically very simply prepared nigiri with good quality, fresh fish. So basically the opposite of this. However, the sushi pizza was genuinely delicious and I was impressed with the construction of it! The bottom layer of seaweed and sushi rice was crispy and held up the toppings well without getting floppy or soggy. Then it was piled with crab salad, chopped up shrimp tempura, roe, sauces, green onion, more tempura flakes. Not sure what else was in there but the ratio of ingredients was great. It was kind of like a shrimp tempura California roll, but in "pizza" form with some extra crisp. We also got the "spicy tabboulie" special roll, which had craw fish, avocado, shrimp, cucumber, fresh tuna, salsa(?), and of course tabboulie on top. I've never seen or tried anything like this before but it was yummy! Had a spicy kick to it as well. The tofu agedashi had the crispiest outside I've ever tried, with super soft and hot tofu inside. Ambiance is more no frills - located in a strip mall and nothing fancy. The booth seat I was in was a little ripped up. Service was great! Our waitress split the pizza for us on the plate, knowing we were sharing everything. Come here for a fun option in the area, or for some truly unique remixed sushi creations. I didn't actually see the sushi pizza on the lunch menu, but it is available all day ($17). Pricing was good for the amount of food, and parking on-site is convenient.

Came here a couple times and got the craving for it again. Arrived and despite being busy I was able to get a booth very quick. Tablet for the menu which is always helpful for visualizing items. I ordered a Hibachi Chicken dinner and wanted to try a roll. I liked that the Mellow Yellow had mango but was allergic to shrimp. I then learned you can request them to not add the shrimp. Great to know and very accommodating. While the place is busy it's still spacious as well. Might start making this a regular spot to visit.

So many sushi options! The staff is super nice and super helpful! Ended up getting the sushi pizza and it was so absolutely amazing

    Steak habatchi

Xushi does an excellent job with non-entertainment habatchi food. We went at lunch time. The place wasn't too busy so the service was very attentive. In general the service team was friendly and welcoming and professional. Not much interaction...Just to the point. We found the restaurant to be very clean and in good repair. The digital menu was a nice change of pace. The soup and salads came out quickly. The entrees were close behind. Nice for a quicker paced lunch. The onion soup was outstanding! It had a smooth and flavorful onion zip. A lot like you would get from a French onion soup without the cheese. The hot soup really warms you up on a cold day. The ginger salad was also very tasty. The lettuce was fresh and not in too big of pieces. The dressing was plentiful and crispy cold. The dressing had a nice mild ginger/carrot taste and was very think you stick to the lettuce. Possibly the best ginger salad dressing I've ever had. The steak habatchi was also excellent. The beef was perfectly cooked to my medium rare order. It didn't seem to have much Marinade taste but was very juicy. The white rice was cooked perfection. It was moist and sticky. Easy to pick with chop sticks. The onions and mushrooms were very tasty. Some soy taste...just not over powering. These items were cooked soft with a bit of crisp. The entree came with three small shrimp. The shrimp was seasoned with pepper to give it an extra special zip! Overall a very good experience. Perhaps a bit pricy but worth the try!

    Avocado Spiral
    Lily N.

This cute little gem was delicious! The avocado spiral was enough for me to come again. The avocado with the crab salad and spicy was so amazing and such a fun combo. The dragon roll and the hibatchi I had was also super good! The portions were decent and I was able to be seated for dinner very quickly. My only knock I would say on this restaurant is how expensive the menu is. The avocado spiral I thought was reasonable at $9 and the dragon roll was $12 but it had no shrimp in it like it normally does, and the hibatchi chicken was $21 but decent portions. My real disappointment was I wanted a California roll so bad (I crave one every time I get sushi) and it was $9 for a California! I have never paid more than $6 for a California roll because it is such a basic roll with minimal ingredients so I couldn't believe the price. Overall I had a good experience and all the food I had was delicious. I just think it's a little overpriced!

2 combo hibachi and and 3 sushi rolls.
    Marzia C.

For the amount of money I spent here; I was pretty disappointed. The food was sub par. No flavor and it lacked salt. I honestly was excited to try the steak hibachi I got; very subpar. The sushi was pretty good though. You'll see in my photo that I ordered a ton of food. Probably won't be going back; and if I do just for the sushi.
