I am visiting from California and we wanted something "light" but a legit meal. My cousin had heard abt this place so her, my husband and I came to try it out. My husband and I both got the birria ramen and for context we get from Habibi's Birria which is more lemony and it's what I was expecting personally. This birria ramen to both my husband and I was a 2.5/5. The ramen is on the spicier side which isn't noted anywhere (would have been fine if I had known but the menu is a bit misleading) and then the meat was on the tougher/drier side even though it's literally soaking in a soup. Tapatio's premade ramen which has Artificial Beef Flavor tastes better lol My cousin said her Mongolian beef was a 3/5. The issue is hers was veryyy salty for her which saltiness is expected but we don't want it to be that bad. Seating is "bar" only so not ideal for groups but there is outside seating if it's not cold. They were helpful in deciding what we want but as soon as we ordered the girl left and the guy who made our food disappeared so when we wanted to ask for more lime we couldn't. Anyways overall disappointing. Would not recommend or come again but it wasn't awful to the point we didn't eat our food. read more

I wanted to really like this place from all the reviews i seen. But my experience wasn't so great. Some of the gentleman working were more worried about their phones hiding behind a curtain than taking care Of customers, The floor needed to be sweep and the working area where they made the ramen needed to be cleaned so badly. I got the bang bang shrimp ramen and it's pretty plain for $14 but at least the broth was creamy and some flavor. Also got the tempura chicken boa buns and one was basically burnt . We placed our orders at the register then sat down. Our food took maybe 10'minutes because they were working on to go orders. Overall the service was good and the ramen had a lot of flavor. If you ask for spicy it is $1 up charge which I thought was steep for them just to add some type of spicy paste to the broth. One suggestion would be, they have a cart behind the counter that has dirty dishes and empty poo cans on it in full view of the counter which made it seem kind of cluttered and dirty back there. May want to push that into a back room behind the curtain. read more

This is my personal opinion based on MY experience. The presentation 10/10. The fried chicken boa bun was the best. Very flavorful. The bang bang shrimp boa, lacked flavor. It was my least favorite. The Korean BBQ boa bun had potential but, the meat was very dry. However, the flavor was there! I wasn't a fan of the spring rolls. They were too soft/mushy for me. Lastly, I ordered the Birria ramen. Again, not a lot of seasoning and therefore it lacked flavor. I wasn't asked about the spice level when I ordered. The restaurant is clean and small. We were so eager to try this place while we were in town, and all of us wanted to love it. We went on a day they weren't doing their wet noodles and they were short staffed (assuming the later caused the former). The noodles weren't quite like any ramen I've seen-- they were limp and didn't have the bouce/chew that most ramen spots have. I had a feeling they were just microwaved and was later proven right when I saw the worker emptying out a plastic container of steamy noodles for another customer a little later. Our chili garlic beef didn't seem to have chili or garlic? I'm not really sure how to describe it aside from school cafeteria pulled meat..?! The chicken boa was really the shining star here: chicken katsu with spicy mustard in a soft, pillowy, but still slightly dry bun. After watching the noodles come out of plastic, I don't doubt my boa buns were dry from their own spin in a microwave. read more

The best part of dining in was the owner, he was super friendly. he stopped by and chatted with us. He was also checking on all the customers regularly. He showed us the raw ramen, very soft and fresh, not your typical ramen from market. My favourite was the korean bbq bao, the crispy chicken bao was very good too. The chicken ramen is very basic, feel good ramen, and it's meant to be that way per the owner. I added some garlic chilly to it, to make it more flavourful. Poor hygiene, low quality atmosphere, food sub-par. Run by kids, who stand around in a group in the front behind the counter, talking and on their phones *the entire time*. Then their friends are also sitting at the counter, so they too are part of the convos/phones. No gloves worn and I never saw anyone wash their hands between orders (after we had ordered and started eating so moot for us). Menu not complete nor well organized. I asked about tofu, she said yes, I asked how it was cooked, she said "regular". Ok. It turned out to be silken tofu cut into 2-3cm pieces. For ramen. Which you eat with chopsticks. I've never encountered tofu cut so small. And no flavor, marinade, etc. Frozen corn and peas, with a tiny amount of broccoli as the veg. Pass. If I wanted frozen veg, I'm definitely not paying $16 for it. Noodles were ok. Broth had very little flavor. The literal ladles they offer as spoons are awful to eat from. I was a bit underwhelmed with my experience at Noodz. I felt a bit catfished. The Instagram page made it seem like it was a very vibrant place to eat with great food. When i walked in i was surprised to see there was only a small counter there to eat at. As far as the food i ordered the spicy ramen with chicken it was pretty tasty but i was expecting it to be made fresh not assembled chipotle style right in front of me. I also got the bao buns chicken shawarma, bang bang shrimp, and another fried chicken one. I wouldn't order any of them again. Noodz has a cool ambiance, bright colors, and friendly staff. That being said, the food is painfully mediocre. We ordered the birria ramen and the chicken ramen, which were both $15. The birria ramen was subpar. The noodles were not cooked all that well and the broth did not pack the punch that is needed with good birria. The meat quality was good, but was not satisfyingly flavorful. Overall, it was uninspired bowl that was very forgettable. The chicken ramen was worse. The broth was nothing more than chicken bullion dissolved in water and was very salty with no other flavor. In that, were noodles, green onions, and bland, unseasoned chicken. There were none of the toppings that are expected with a bowl of ramen! We asked for (and paid extra for) spicy and they just plopped a gochujang like paste on top of the bowl without even mixing it into the broth. I really hope they fix their food, because the kids working the joint are nice, but the lack of quality of the food is unacceptable. read more

I ask can we please get some "street corn bites" he turns to the computer hits the computer one time doesn't even log in and goes we don't have those right now. We decided after this to leave as clearly they did not want us there. Absolutely awful service for a place I've had many times. Completely disrespectful and lack of care for the business. I've only had Ramen a handful of times at various recommended places around the US but this was my favorite! We had to wait 20 mins for 2 Mongolian Beef Ramens but it was so worth it. Delicious! I can't wait to try the other flavors now. Next up is going to be the dry Curry Ramen! read more

One of those times that I relied on fancy instagram videos instead of checking online reviews. This place is bad. We were served luke warm Beef ramen noodles. When we asked to have the broth warmed up, we were told to wait just 2 minutes and the broth would be reheated. more 10 minutes passed and our guy was nowhere to be seen. While waiting on our broth to be heated, we watched a young lady cleaning their bobba tea and the counter upfront. Handling her phone, wiping her hands on a towel rag and then using the towel rag to clean the counter and the machine, disgusting. Then without washing her hands, she preceded to fill the toppings for the bobba tea with utensils that she barely washed from the sink. Food poisoning waiting to happen. When our guy returns, he takes a small sample of broth to have my wife check the temperature, still lukewarm! What were we waiting for? My wife tells him the broth was very salty and he says "it's supposed to be salty". I understand that the ramen is served with Halal meat but this is no substitute for real ramen, especially when some of your customers have actually eaten great ramen all over metro detroit and around the world. My friend and I found this place on TikTok and were so excited to try it, but can I say with confidence I will NEVER return. I was incredibly disappointed and surprised by the way my friend and I were treated by staff at this establishment. Our orders were incorrect, and staff responded passive aggressively and were covertly racist mainly towards my friend (who is African American). As an Asian person, I'm applauded to see this kind of behavior in an ASIAN FUSION restaurant. I highly recommend that if you're Asian or African American to spend your money else where. The space itself was a lot smaller than expected so but a lot of sitting room. Can't blame them for that. I do like that you can sit in front of the cooks and watch them do their thing. Customer service was decent. I understand that not everyone has the same pallet as myself but here we go for food review. The food was extremely extremely underwhelming. I was able to eat it, but the curry broth lacked a bit of body to it, could be thicker. It was also a bit watered down and could use more curry flavor. I think to make it "more Japanese", a chicken fried cutlet could be added to the bowl instead of diced chicken and the veggies. Chicken katsu curry ramen. The kbbq bao buns were wayyyyyy too sweet. Nothing about it was kbbq. The sauce was straight up spicy American bbq sauce. Could've done a bulgogi sauce with kimchi in it to balance out the meat. The bao bun was cold. Would be better if it was warm. The Mexican corn bites weren't very Mexican at all. Was just corn mixed in with cheese and deep fried. I think straying away from authenticity makes the food mediocre. I think having at least 1-3 authentic bowl on the menu is nice. Like the miso ramen. Or adding shoyu ramen. I do want to see this place improve deeply. read more
