Small dining area, clean and comfortable. Food: Appetizer: Avocado Ball, Me: Chicken Fried Rice, Angry Bird Roll (don't like seafood). My wife: Rainbow Roll, California Sunrise Roll. Mannnn lemme tell you something!!! The lobster Cigar appetizer had me almost full just eat two pieces! It's delicious and full of flavor and fresh! Everything was splendid. I like the interior and size of the restaurant. Not too many people can fit in there so it definitely gives you more of a small group dining experience. I was in Dearborn Heights MI and ordered takeout for the lunch special. A great value, superb quality and flavor. The takeout was ready when I arrived and I was on my way quickly. My orders included plenty of fresh ginger, soy sauce and a nice scoop of wasabi. I ordered tuna avocado, shrimp tempura and salmon avocado. All were delicious. Wow! Chef James is truly a master at his craft! Wonderful food and service. I had the Lobster Cigar and Mayak Tteokbokki. I would order both dishes again in a nanosecond! The appetizer (lobster & crab mix, avocado, and cream cheese in a spring roll wrapper, drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce) was phenomenal and Mayak Tteokbokki is a wonderful soup consisting of fish cakes, fish balls, rice cakes and kimchi in a spicy gochujang broth, and topped with green onions and shredded cheese. The soup was out-of-the-park outstanding! A shout-out to Al P for posting pics and sending me a pic of the Mayak Tteokbokki. Authentic Korean food is hard to find, especially the soups. Cannot wait to try the Soondubu Jjigae Soup next. This place is a true gem in the area. Will visit again soon. read more

My spicy Korean soup had the perfect spice level- very spicy! Tons of tofu but could have used a little more seafood. Be aware it is a very small restaurant and it was freezing next to the front door. Also the cooked entrees came out a long time after the sushi so order an appetizer. This is still the best sushi joint in Metro Detroit. My wife and I come about once a month and it is always a treat. Chef James always treats us like family, the wait staff is generally prompt and always trying to be attentive. As the restaurant continues to get more popular and busy they continue to keep up it seems to me. The place is clean, pleasant, and always a joy to visit. Open until 10pm tonight. Ordered an avocado ball with crab inside only, jalapeño bomb and a lobster cigar, popcorn lobster special roll, Cali crunch roll, MSU and a UofM roll. $87.13. Pricey here too. Egad. Hope the food is worth it. They said it would be about 30 minutes. Food wasn't quite ready when I went inside. Had to wait a bit longer for the food be ready. 8 Tables inside and 5 counter seats. It's a bit cramped inside here. I watched the mad frenzy of food out to the table and the carry out orders too. I received a call almost 10 minutes later that chef James forgot the avocado appetizer in the carry out container. They asked if I could return. I said no way, I was too far. I asked if they could just refund the money. They said that they could refund amount. Then they called me back less than a minute later and told me they are making it and will run it out to me. A nice gesture but rather inconvenient for me. I had to wait by a 7-Eleven at Greenfield and Rotunda for them to bring me the missed appetizer. Would have been much easier if they had just credit me the amount and just let it go. Now I am waiting for the one missed appetizer while the rest of the food gets cold. They were at least quick to run it out to me in about 15 minutes or less. Although at this point my food had 25 minutes to cool off by now. The popcorn lobster special roll is okay. The UofM roll was not what I was expecting. I missed the seared tuna when I read it on the Yelp link. Had to remove the seared tuna since neither of us eat fish unless it's fully cooked. The MSU roll was decent. The avocado roll was okay, nothing special about it. The jalapeño bomb and the lobster rolls were pretty good, as was the Cali crunch roll. Those were the 3 better of all of the items consumed tonight. The food and rolls were generally okay, but nothing outstanding. The customer service is quite good here. I've never understand how restaurants the prices of their deals. Their lunch sushi deals was so great for the price but now it's not 2 for 10 sushi was great but now since they raised the price. I can order everything individually an it'll be cheaper. Anyways last time I was in the taste of the food has definitely improved. No longer dose the fried rice taste like it's burnt and not made right, even the gyoza and tempora wasn't burned. Service was still good, though I do miss some of their older services. I also know their menu so I can ordered without and some of their staff knows. Evrything looks great inside, they finally fixed their AC so it's not uncomfortable inside. read more

We've eaten here a lot and we are creatures of habit and order the same food but tonight was try something different and tonight we had the Godzilla roll, monkey brain and salmon on the beach. Everything was great. The salmon on the beach by far my most favorite roll anywhere. So this place is fairly new so they do not have a liquor license yet but however it is still worth it to come here even if you can't have a drink. I ordered the Miso Soup and between the 3 of us we ordered a bunch of rolls: Godzilla Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Fuji Volcano Fire Roll, Rainbow Roll, Mushroom Roll, and I cant remember the other rolls but I will say each one of these rolls were phenomenal, this place is very much worth trying. read more

I was here several months ago and had a decent meal.... was just there with a few friends and I kept saying it smelled like sewage. It's super cramped and tiny here and noticed a few others mentioning the foul stench. My food came. I shared 3 rolls with my brother and had the lobster cigar. The lobster was overcooked and tough as can be. The salmon tasted funky and off. The tuna was definitely not fresh. After a few hours, I was violently ill in my hotel room. I thought it was a horrible stomach virus until my brother texted and said he had food poisoning. I reached out to our 2 friends, one was very sick, too. The other was fine, but she only had fried rice as her entree- no raw fish. I called, and the owner was a raging maniac. No apologies, nothing. Just irrational and angry. Never again!!! read more

I hate to do this but I must warn other consumers. I spent almost $50 on Lover Rolls, Shumai and a small Miso Soup. Your restaurant need to include information that the portion size food are for children or people who eat cat like portions. It was so small!
