It has been a very long time since I last visited. That is only because it is "carry-out only". The food here is excellent. IMO, it is still the best Chinese-American food in the area. And it stayed hot all the way home. I had some outstanding egg drop soup and a fantastic hunan chicken combo. The hunan chicken, chicken fried rice, and egg roll were all excellent. It was some of the best fried rice that I have had with any Chinese food combination plate. In fact, it is the best Chinese-American food that I have had in a very long time. Huge portions too! We just tried China Club for the first time. We got kung po chicken, chicken fried rice, egg rolls, spring rolls, and wonton soup. The chicken fried rice and egg rolls were really great. Those were our favorite. Our son loved the kung po. I was really wanting wonton soup but it just didn't have much flavor. We will definitely come back though. read more

My parents and I ordered takeout for dinner after reading all the great reviews. We were not disappointed! It's takeout only and there were a lot of people waiting for their orders. We had the chicken egg foo young, Kung Pao shrimp, house lo mein, almond boneless chicken, wonton soup and egg rolls. Literally the only Chinese restaurant I can stand, it's authentic and delicious. Everywhere else tastes like shit from the frozen section at the grocery store. Decided to try a different Chinese place so I took the drive and gave it a whirl and I must say it's the first place I've found around me that has moo shoo pork and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food is here . The Fried rice is always flavorless but the service is fast. Unfortunately It's recently become much less affordable due to rising cost. However, the General Tao's Chicken (mild) is delicious. I like that it is local, quick & convenient. Just wish the Fried rice had flavor. read more

Food is absolutely great here. My mom works nearby in New Boston, and there aren't many restaurants near her, however this is relatively close, and her staff all got lunch here one day. My mom is a picky eater, and absolutely LOVED the food. She loved it so much she brought us all food from here for dinner the following day. We have ate a variety of food here, ranging from: Chicken Pad Thai, General Tso's, Gai Kow, Sweet 'N Sour Soup, Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Spring/Egg rolls, and Crab Rangoons! The portions are very large! As pictured, my pad thai lasted me for FOUR MEALS. Our family has only got take-out from here, and has not yet dined in. I don't know what seasoning they use for the General Tso chicken but I find myself craving it at least once a week. This is our go-to takeout place. The search for good Chinese food in the Monroe area continues to Carleton and the China Club. Nestled in the shadow of Busch's, it's a small but neat storefront with eight booths and about twelve tables. The place is clean and there are three Lucky Cats displayed on the counters, so that should count for something. We decided to try the usual items of sweet and sour chicken and almond chicken, plus an order of crab ragoons for good measure. The wait wasn't long and since it was afternoon, they weren't very busy. First thing we got into back at the house were the crab ragoons and they were awesome!!! Plump pillows of cream cheesy goodness, filled with over a tablespoon of stuffing! Check out the picture! Later, we had the chicken and to say that the portions were generous would be an understatement! We had enough food for two days! Everything tasted fresh and clean and juicy! I highly recommend this place! It's not like the typical greasy stuff from our local places Downriver. The wonton soup was yummy, the egg rolls were fresh and not greasy (the bean sprout kind!). I had Kung Pao Chicken and my husband had Garlic Spare Ribs (they're boneless). We will definitely be back. Oh and they do have a kids menu with nuggets, grilled cheese, and cheeseburgers. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. This has been my go to for Chinese for the past 7 years. That all changed tonight. I called in an order as I have for the past few months now. I ordered a family meal but changed out some of the items, I never even knew you could do that until an employee there asked me which items I wanted a couple months ago and listed which ones I could get. Ever since then I have ordered my family meal this way. Tonight when I ordered their answering service answered for them and the woman on the phone was rather rude to me. About 10 minutes later I got a call from the restaurant telling me I couldn't order the way I did and if I want to change out items that it costs an extra $2 per item. I explained I've ordered this way for the past few months now (I order every week or two). She continued to tell me she doesn't believe me as if I am a liar. After about the 5th time of her saying to me I don't believe you I told her to cancel my order and I will never order from this business again. It's terrible that the owner has such poor customer service and she should check her employees before calling a customer a liar. They lost a long time customer tonight over the way they choose to treat people. read more

Found myself on the bad end of costumer service. I ordered online via the affiliate website/AP picking an item I had yet to have from there (orange chicken) on the link it asks me mild, medium or hot and medium is where its auto selected so I left it alone. I was shocked to see that when I got my order it was just almond chicken with a spicey orange sauce. However it tasted good and I liked the heat level so I was happy. The following day my congestion was back and I wanted more orange chicken so I called it in (BIG mistake) I only ordered the orange chicken and said medium and was met with an ugly additude from the male staff who answered the phone. He told me it doesn't come that way and he didn't know what I was talking about. So I got it "regular". My son picked up the order. Well the sauce was different. It wasn't spicy at all, rather to the contrary it was very very sweet. I called in to explain that I'm not sure where the mix up was but I wanted spicy. Ugly additude was back. Oh well if I want it spicy I could bring it back and they will add some hot oil to it . Umm no, does not fix anything. I want to know that if I order something it will not be different every time. They staff member didn't want to make me happy so I'd keep coming back, he just wanted to be a rude jerk. This was my smallest order ever. Usually I am feeding a family of 4-8.
