This place is interesting... a very basic aesthetic. Pictures make it look bigger than it actually is. Nothing about the seating makes you want to stay for a long time. They have two loungey type seats but they're near the bathroom so use at your own risk. I've tried the matcha einspanner and black cocoa. Both were solid drinks, I liked the einspanner more. Both were pricey. My only gripe was that the iced einspanner was pretty small and mostly ice. Tried one of their cloud desserts and it was meh, I'd skip it next time. Solid drinks here if you're looking for something more special than just a cup of coffee. read more

Easily my favorite coffee shop in NYC. Right around the corner from my hotel, this shop became a quick favorite of mine during my stay. The shop has decent seating, open and very clean. There are a few places to stand and enjoy your coffee as well. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations to fit your tastes and wants. New to einspanners, I quickly fell in love with how good they were. The variety of Asian flavors offered was amazing! I ordered the Matcha Einspanner and I was blown away with how good it was I had to go back to try others, and bring my coworkers with me. A good balance of sweet, bold, and the kick of caffeine needed to get through the day. read more

Ran here with my husband right before we had to rush to the airport. I saw all the great reviews and all the photos of the einspanner looked so good I had to try it for myself before I left NY. This is a coffee that's obviously more on the sweeter side so heads up on that. They made it perfectly. I took my first sip when I got on the train to go to airport so until then I just had it in my hand running with my luggage. It was very delicious! I got a small size and it was just enough for me. Inside is very spacious and not crowded at all. They do sell beans if you're interested. I know this is a franchise coffee shop but I would definitely recommend to those who have not tried it yet. read more

Very frou frou coffee, but it's stellar! The Black Sesame Einspanner was unique and just the right amount of buzz for me. The space is a bit trendy and bare. There were a bunch of people working and hanging on a Sunday afternoon. Yes, you'll drop some money here. I'd say go for the experience! read more

I saw the Outside sign for a different daily drip coffee at this shop as I walked down third and returned on my way back to the office. The daily brew was a Colombian that my coworker opted for, and I went fancy and got the seasonal Matcha, which was a lovely blend of spices and sweet along with the Matcha flavor. And I also picked up a really well-made almond croissant that I split with coworkers for a little afternoon. Pick me up. The skill of the barista was a parent as they poured all types of different drinks. It's not the cheapest cup of coffee in Manhattan, but this is definitely worth a stuff in at one of their locations. There was some seating inside and it was inviting and clean. read more

The first time I ever heard of the einspanner was here coffee. I remember the first time I had it they even gave a little yakwa cookie with it. Not sure if they still do that but whenever I'm in midtown, ten thousand is a must stop for this drink. read more

Cute little coffee shop in midtown east. There's not much seating but it's pretty minimalistic and aesthetic inside. They have lots of cool drinks and a small selection of pastries. Got the einspanner and holy shit the ESPRESSO CREAM IS SO MF GOOOD. This is the coffee for you if you lowkey hate coffee and only like it when it's superrrr creamy and sweet. But it's damn good. I will say portion sizes here are very small and especially for the steeep prices. The croffle was also good the cream was yummy and paired well. My bestie brought me to this place because I've been raving about Matcha and they did not disappoint. The staffing was nice and our orders were taken immediately. The inside was very clean and had a nice vibe. The Matcha taste is just right, you can taste the strawberry, it's like a hint at the end. VERY VERY VERY GOOD!!! Came here for a quick caffeine dose after lunch. I ordered the sesame milk einspanner and it was delicious. It adds a nutty flavor to your typical latte. The wife ordered the purple sweet potato iced latte. It was on the sweeter side but a fun drink nonetheless. The staff were very helpful. The Onyx latte is just insane. I would order it again and again with the 9$ price tag when you add almond milk and tip. It is absolutely delicious. Super unique. Definitely worth it. This is one of my fav coffee places in New York!! They have two locations and this is the second location. The interior is spacious and there is not WiFi so if you are looking to work, I'd look for another coffee shop!!They have pastries and their famous chocolate covered croissants! Such a good coffee spot! Met up with a friend at this location as it was easy for both of us to get to. The inside is a decent size with scattered seating. We grabbed two seats by the window but there were also seats low to the ground, as well as high-top sort of tables. I had the sweet potato iced latte and it was delicious! Great if you're not in the mood or if you just don't drink coffee. My friend had the dark chocolate iced latte and said hers was excellent, as well. The prices are a bit steep (with almond milk, my latte came to over $9) but for the options beyond the usual coffee and tea it's worth it. The staff could be a bit more pleasant. They were wandering around behind the counter and very abrupt when it came to taking orders. They also took a while for orders to be made when there was barely a crowd on a Saturday afternoon. Beyond that, this is a great spot to grab a drink and catch-up with a friend. read more

I found this coffee shop which had plenty of seats and was well lite, comfy atmosphere!! Service was good! I saw them refill a customer's cup from home. They have these cloud castellas which is a new bakery item. My espresso with chocolate was okay. I prefer it iced but ordered it hot today. My chocolate chip cookie was good. Met a colleague for a work conversation and we were so glad we chose Ten Thousand Coffee. It's a clean aesthetic and not too noisy despite being quite busy. We scored two super comfortable seats in the back by the bathrooms (very clean) and the acoustics back there happened to amplify our voices so I could easily hear and be heard. I ordered the einspanner as it is their signature coffee drink and it was described as tiramisu but a coffee drink. A very appropriate description - dessert in a hot cup with whipped cream on top! A super splurge for sure. Next time I'm looking to meet someone for a long conversation where we need to be able to hear each other well and enjoy a decadent dessert/coffee, I'll go to Ten Thousand Coffee! read more

Ten Thousand is hands down one of my favorite coffee shops. If you're into creamy, sweet coffee--this is the spot. Their signature Einspanner is a must and easily one of my go to drinks. Today, I was feeling spontaneous so I decided to switch things up and tried the purple sweet potato latte. It did not disappoint!!! It's a mild version of taro milk tea, but a little more subtle and smooth. Honestly, this place never misses! read more

I want to update that yesterday in June when I visited this location, their milk cartons were all located behind the coffee baristas. Why were they taken out of the fridge? Perhaps they didnt want to keep going in and out of the kitchen but it worried me especially because it is the summer and theyre giving me unrefrigerated whole milk...Someone should rectify this! read more

The matcha einspanner is one of the best coffee drinks I have ever tasted. Foamy, sweet, strong, great flavor! The was the perfect morning treat before walking around the city, and it really kick started my day. This place got the matcha taste just right, you can taste it throughout the drink. Matcha einspanner was delicious, on the sweeter side and was certainly creamy. Interestingly, it's matcha foam on espresso, not on a matcha latte so be aware. I also got their regular einspanner which was also very decadent and milky. read more

Stumbled upon this place when I took a different exit out of Grand Central and had to walk down to 42nd. Really amazing coffee that is unique. I got the iced einspanner and it was super good. Perfectly sweet with a glob of whipped cream. Staff were friendly, nothing special. Ambiance is very clean and minimal modern. There are roughly 8 tables to sit at. It was consistently busy on a Thursday early afternoon. I wish they added more cream to my drink tho. My absolute favorite coffee shop in the city. I love all the different drinks that they have and how often they test out new unique flavors. I'm always a huge fan of their cold brew, but when I'm craving something sweeter, I opt for the Einspanner. Their matcha one was fantastic and gave me a nice coffee buzz for the morning. I tried one of their pastries (custard crossiant) as well but would pass on it. Overall, if you stick with their drinks, you'll be happy with your choice. read more

Drinks here were amazing and definitely worth it for me. Staff was kind, place had a few seats and a bathroom, overall quite clean. $6.50 for each drink I thought wasn't too crazy in prices for specialty lattes. We had the sweet potato and einspanner. Creme on the coffee was amazing. One of the best sweet coffees I think i've had. Sweet potato latte also was 5/5, an amazing option if you don't want coffee. Might be one of my new spots when I'm in the city. read more

Been to both this location and the one in Fidi and really enjoyed the drinks at both. They have a solid matcha latte and the matcha einspanner was super delish... although I ordered it thinking it would be just matcha and it does actually come with espresso, it seems to be essentially a latte with the matcha cream on top. Regardless, it ended up being great and I would order it again. Not the cheapest coffee shops but I would say their specialty drinks are worth the money read more

After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

Aside from the striking visuals, the drink tasted great. There was sweetness from the matcha and the coconut but not super overtly sugary. I also got a box of four donuts. They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y. I look forward to trying other donuts and sweets from Bear Donut in the future!

The rice cake was good, but the sporks they give you are completely useless against the rice cakes. The mango cake was about the blandest cake I've ever had in my life. One good thing is that, at least on the upper level, they do not rush you out whatsoever. You can literally stay for as long as you want.

It was easy to get to walking down from the Bryant Park area. When we got there it was busy, but not too busy. My wife and I split a slice of chocolate mousse cake. The price is just right for the perfect size slice for sharing. On our prior trip it was a lot busier and it took a while to get a seat so we could eat. This time it wasn't as crowded and we were able to sit right away after getting our slice. On future trips to New York we'll definitely have to come back and try some of the other items available.
