View of ski slopes behind restaurant

One-of-a-kind restaurant, accessible by the Sandia tram on top of Sandia peak. Good food, we did the ride & dine menu which has different options than the main menu. I think if we returned we would do tram tickets separately and order off the normal menu since it has more options. Service was very responsive and friendly. What you really come here for though is the experience and the views. From the peak you can see all of Albuquerque. From behind the restaurant you can see ski slopes and can even see Santa Fe in the far distance. An essential stop if you're visiting New Mexico.

We made a reservation here but ended up sitting on the casual side, which doesn't need a reservation, to be closer to the windows. A table with a view is not guaranteed with the fine dining reservation. Matter fact, a reservation isn't needed to dine on the fine dining side although it may state that it does online. You can walk right in and say you'd like to be seated in fine dining and they will make it happen. It sure happened. It's first come first serve on both sides regardless of what's posted. It's a restaurant after all, as they said, so money has to be made. Nonetheless, the experience itself was completely worth it. The tram ride up was not as scary as it may seem. It's about a 15 minute ride up. The main goal today was to enjoy the view and to go to dinner. If you ride the tram up without dinner, you can simply explore the area until your next ride down. As far as dinner goes, the meal was delicious. Our waiter was kind and patient with explaining a few things to us. The food didn't take long at all. We had a glass of a wine, the sandia caesar salad, and the seared sirloin. The sirloin came with some type of mash and veggies. It all paired well together. We ate, we laughed, we enjoyed the view. Don't bother making a reservation and risk losing money for booking. Go up, enjoy the view, enjoy a good meal.

I purchased the Ride & Dine package to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday which is a dinner at Ten 3 and the ride on the Tram. This is only available Mondays and Thursdays. It's an easy way to book both by only making a reservation through the restaurant so it is nice for convenience however for the price point I was not impressed with the Ride & Dine limited prix fixe menu and would advise not to do this, instead book separately and order exactly what you want from their menu, there are much better entrees, appetizers, and desserts than what's on the prix fixe menu. Give yourself 1 hour for the tram ride. Brilliant views throughout, and nice service.

Tonight we took the tram to the top of Sandia Peak. It was sunlight going up and dark going down. I had a very tasty double smash burger with hickory smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, and caramelized onions. It came with a heaping order is sweet potato French fries and lettuce, tomato, and red onion slice on the side to add. My friend has a piece of salmon with a tasty BBQ glaze. It was over a bed of mixed veggies and rice. I just had ice tea. We both enjoyed our dinner, coming back down the tram in pitch dark with the twinkling city light below. It was a fun adventure.

Myself, Mom and my partner were in town for Mother's Day and thought a trip up the mountain would be nice. We rode the tram up with plans to eat at the restaurant. The wait was about 30 minutes so we grabbed some drinks from the bar and took in the sun outside. It's a spectacular view from the top. It's been so long since I came up here and don't even remember if there was a restaurant before. It was the 60th anniversary of the tram so the entire restaurant was set up for casual dining. Once seated, we were bummed we didn't get a window. BUT, there was a table by the window available. I was told it was for somebody before us. Huh? Where are they? I hate to be that person, but I don't think that was the case. I kept my eye on that table and was going to cause a scene, but my partner told me to let it go. Anyway, the food was delicious. My partner had a side salad and a ceviche dish. She loved it. I had a side of tempura veggies (I loved tempura veggies and the mushroom was chefs kiss), some Santa Fe spring rolls. Mom had a burger and fries. It was a good meal and a nice area to chill. The bar was packed with hikers who were most likely post-hike and filling up on snacks and beer. That would be me if I lived here. It was a nice day overall. The tram ride, the views, the meal, etc.

We took the tram up, which was really fun! Did a little hike up top then decided to eat before heading back down. There was a bit wait for a table. Option to sit in the little entry hallway or outside, but risk being missed called in. Phone service isn't reliable so if you Wander too far you may miss your table call. Once we were in, we got a table in the corner of the room with glass windows so it was a great view. Food was good. Husband got red chile bbq glazed salmon and I got mediterranean sandwich with hummus. Both were good and filled our stomachs after a nice little hike. A little pricey, but to be expected as I'm sure all the food is hard to travel up there to the resturant. Overall great experience. We are out of owners and we're already up there for the tram ride so why not!

A top the SANDIA MOUNTAIN, worth the trip Lunch was great, looking at the views, waitstaff did a wonderful job. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait. Worth the time

Going to Ten 3 is an experience. It's like going to Disney. You don't go there for just the food - but that would be plenty. Let's start at the bottom because this IS an experience. We easily found a parking spot and walked over and stood in the line for the tram. But we wanted to make sure we wouldn't be standing in line too long for our reservation. We ended up checking in across the corridor and they checked us in over there and let us know we would be told when we could go up as the next group on the tram. Oh, it was pouring rain. By the time we got on the tram it had stopped raining. About halfway up to the top the tram stopped. Apparently the other car was experiencing some wind and when one car stops, they both stop. About 30 seconds later we were back under way. About 15 feet from the dock at the top, the wind really started to blow. The tram stopped, the fog surrounded us and it started to rain. Got some cool shots but people were starting to get concerned. We may have been there for 5 minutes which I'm sure felt much longer. The rain stopped and the fog cleared. It took a little longer for the wind to stop blowing before they would let us dock and exit the car. Still a little rain. By the time we got to the restaurant we were right on time. We parked over an hour before our reservation. By the time we sat down the skies partially cleared and the sun was setting. To say that it looked magical still doesn't adequately describe that scene. We got the menus and our waiter, Jennifer answered all of our questions about the menu items. Lots of very new takes on many different meals. It was difficult to decide. That's okay / get the bread and some wine and continue to look and checkout your neighbors. To say we got the NY Strip and the fish is just pedantic. These meals are so special. It is obvious that a lot of thought and care is put into creating the recipe and preparing the actual meal. Every bite was absolutely delicious. It wasn't cheap but it wasn't just food. I think it was worth it. I'll go again for a special occasion!

We stopped by for a snack at the peak and weren't disappointed with what we tried. The roasted garlic green chili hummus with pita bread was great, they were also able to refill the pita since there was so much dip. I enjoyed the quality of the cappuccino. The mountain time was a bit sour for my taste but my partner enjoyed it. we intended on coming back for more of their offerings but ended up eating at the Homestead cafe, which I would suggest for families.

It is interesting that from reading another review about not feeling welcomed is the same vibe we got. Came on Labor Day and sat at the bar. The servers at the bar seemed apprehensivqe to wait on until we made uncomfortable eye contact with them. Asked for the Bison burger and they brought us a double cheeseburger. I honestly don't think they knew the difference from beef & bison. Great views from that elevation and nice interior pf decor of the facility. But the service left me with mixed feelings.

Went for lunch and added our name to the wait list...we were a group of 6 given a 30-45 min wait time frame....totally fine, we walked around but then decided we wanted to order a drink while we wait. They only allow a certain amount of people in at a time for to go orders...food orders and drink orders are done in the same spot; at the time it was by the 2 bartenders that were also running the full bar! It led to an incredibly slow experience with a very long line of people waiting in the hallways to get permission to step in and order. We finally got our table - we were a group of 6 - this really isn't a place for big groups, just small inside. Our waiter did excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was good, my favorite part were the sweet potato fries! They were perfect!! Overall it was a good experience, I don't think they expected it to be as busy as it was, but we did enjoy it!

We recently celebrated our anniversary here. It was a fabulous dining experience and I think it's a very unique way to enjoy Albuquerque as well as some wonderful food. They have a dining room experience as well as a more casual dining so whether you are going for something big or just an afternoon Summit beer it's a great time! The staff super friendly and attentive. Just don't forget to get your tram pass and get there about an hour before your reservation.

Service was wonderful. The view is unbeatable. The food is good. It wasn't anything that would blow your socks off. I ordered the ten 3 margarita, shrimp egg rolls, and the apple cider zeppoles for dessert. Ten 3 margarita: it's a solid spicy margarita. I wanted something unique that I'd never had before. But it tastes like a standard spicy margarita to me even though they use their house made green chili pineapple syrup. Can't say this was anything special. Shrimp eggrolls: I don't see this on the current menu any longer. The shrimp tasted fresh. The pickled purple lettuce below it had a good balance to it. Everything tasted balanced. But very par. Not upset about it but also didn't blow me away. The apple cider zeppoles were the best. They look dense but they're not! They're actually really light and perfectly fried. I would definitely get this one again if it's still on the menu!

Ask the Community - TEN 3

Can you drive to ten 3?

No. The only access is via the Tramway.

Is the casual dining kid friendly? Is there a separate kids menu?

We were there 8/1/2021, last serving of the evening. The building is two sections divided by a open bar. Formal dining to the left (a few seats overlook valley unless cloudy) & casual dining to the right (looks out to back ski slope). Casual dining…

I just made a reservation for 8:30pm. Then I noticed the tram stops running at 8pm. Is this place accessible by car? If not, how will I get there (and home)?

I would recommend you arrive at the tram around 8pm to arrive at your reservation on time. The tram will not take more passengers up past 8pm but it will continue to run so it can bring customers and employees off the mountain. enjoy!

Is it possible to stop in with my dog while hiking for a beer?

Not really. They have dog crates at the bottom of the Tram before you go up, so that might work for you
