Beautiful new building, very clean, and great view but that is where the approval of this place ends. The service and policies of this restaurant were evolving between reservation to when we actually showed up such that the menu had changed a bit and prior approval to bring a cake for a party was changed when we arrived. Even getting a reservation with this place was a nightmare, with staff being continually unclear on when we were actually having our reservation and a lack of communication to confirm. Just so you know, even though the Tram owns the restaurant no discount or voucher is provided for dinner reservations and you still pay the full $25 which is a change from the old high finance restaurant that used to be up there. Actual dining was an unfortunate and terrible experience. For a place that is charging $100+/head when you include drinks and the meal, there is so much that you are told that you cannot do to enhance your experience. First, they wont let you bring tables together for large parties - had to argue strongly to make this happen. That was the start of our experience after the cake fiasco, then we got drinks and just about everybody had issues with their drink. Should I mention that they charge $8 for unsweetened tea! I got my drink switched with somebody elses, and people who got dr pepper just made sure that everybody else at the table should try out their disgusting concoction of a drink (which did not taste like dr pepper). Our drink experience ended with me notifying the server that somebody in our party was very unhappy with their drink and he goes on to argue defending the drink. What happened to customer is always right? Then its time for the entrée orders, and should I mention that this place does not carry any dessert of any kind! It was tough to sort through one overpriced item to the next one, but I had settled on their "filet of beef" (which the server said was filet mignon, but who knows) which is their most expensive menu item at $52. This price was just the entrée, and did not include any other parts of a 2 or 3 course meal. All I had wanted to do was substitute one starch for another on the menu and the server let us know that this wasn't possible. At that point everybody at the table had enough and we just ended up clearing the drinks check and leaving. So we went back down on the Tram, and fortunately another restaurant was able to provide the decent experience that we were looking for. read more

Everything about going up to this restaurant was exciting and breathtaking until my girlfriend and I began our dinner at Ten 3. For the price you're paying to have dinner, there doesn't seem to be anything shockingly good to brag about. We ordered the scallops as an appetizer and don't be fooled, the "scallops" plural means only two of them. I know it's a fancy restaurant but you only get two for such an expensive price. Overall the view was our main reason for giving Ten 3 a shot but the food wasn't anything to bring me back for more. Our waiter wasn't bad but we never had our drinks refilled unless we asked. There needs to be something that creates a lasting memory for customers such as soft live music and/or fire pits with outdoor seating. Nothing seemed to wow us or make us wanting to come back again other than the view. Hope these minor setbacks could be worked on soon so we can give them another shot! read more

My friend and I sat at the bar on a Wednesday night for 25 minutes before a bartender took our order. They were "out of the ingredients" to make the drink featured on the menu. I ordered a house margarita. 10 minutes later still no drink!! We left and took the tram back to Sandiagos. Don't waste your time and/or money! read more

Menu selection limited for lunch in bar. Ambiance wonderful. Food we ordered was not very good. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Would only recommend for tram ride and view from restaurant. I do think however that things will improve. They have only been open two weeks. read more

This is my first visit here to Albuquerque. I'm currently sitting at the restaurant and it's been almost 15 min and not a single server came by and asked if we've been help. Yet, a server decided to go up to the host and express that they're slow and they need tables. This is ridiculous. Customer service sucks. read more

We were extremely excited to try this place. I made reservations right after they opened for tonight for our anniversary. After taking the tram to get to the restaurant, we arrived ten minutes early for our reservation. We needed to wait an extra 15 minutes for our table. Granted, they were busy and haven't been opened that long we have them the benefit of the doubt. We were seated at our table with a magnificent view. But it was another 10 minutes before someone came to our table to even acknowledge us. And that person was coming by to fill up our water and let us know that someone would be with us shortly. Our waitress finally came by after more of a wait to take our drink order. Only then did we find out that what we wanted they were out of. Then we ordered our food which again were were presently surprised that they were out of aspects of our dishes. We felt VERY rushed and it was just overall an unpleasant experience. I can understand being out of things and the like but shouldn't be an excuse for customer service. read more

This was both mine & my wife's first experience at Ten-3 restaurant. After a two hour wait for tickets and boarding the tram, we were very hungry. The chips with salsa, guacamole, and black bean dip was so fresh. The salsa was probably the best I've tasted since living here. The green chile' Mac & cheese was outstanding. The grape tomatoes on it was a great touch. I was not impressed with the fries though. They were too hard and really did not have any flavor to them. That was the only negative thing about the whole lunch. What made our dinning experience worth while was our server Lorenzo. He was extremely polite and prompt. When we told him about the salsa, he brought us more w/o even asking for it. We asked for our leftovers to be boxed to go and he gave us a small container with some of that salsa in it. I have never had a server, not only be great at his job, but preform such a nice gesture towards me and my wife. Keep up the great work Lorenzo and don't change a thing. read more

The food was good. The views are spectacular. The service was disappointing. Took a good 40 minutes to get our drinks. The server took the appetizer away before we were done. Be sure to double check your tab. We were overcharged for the bottle of wine. All new restaurants have growing pains but, over charging is not acceptable. read more

Last evening we went to TEN 3 with another couple. The tram ride was very enjoyable and the atmosphere of both the bar and restaurant were great. The views are second to none! But, we also went for the food, which was okay...at best. Aside from the restaurant/bar being very cold as people left their coats on while seating, the food at the bar was poor. The specialty french fries were under cooked and raw inside, the brussel sprouts were hard and still cold inside, and the chicken was over cooked. The green chili soup was good and the brisket sandwich was excellent. The carrot cake dessert was unremarkable as it was dry and only one layer. In all, if we went to TEN 3 for the restaurant, we'd be very disappointed. If we went for the views, atmosphere, and tram, we be very pleased. This isn't a restaurant that we'd go back to unless they get their kitchen where it should be. read more

Good service at the bar and friendly staff. However, me and my bud ordered appetizers, nothing crazy, essentially cold dishes. He got the antipasto and I got the oysters on the half shell. Honestly, it wasn't super busy and approximately 35 to 40 minutes, we still hadn't received our dishes, so we just cancelled our orders, paid for our drinks and left. After hearing all the excitement from the locals on how this place opened back up after being closed for two years, I am somewhat disappointed in the overall execution of the kitchen staff. read more

Tried to go on a Saturday night but could not actually get there. Got to the tram base and the wait was an hour, in spite of having restaurant reservations. For all my effort, I was rewarded with a three dollar parking nonrefundable fee. This is a for-profit business and they sure are letting me know it. I guess I'll go in the middle of winter on a Wednesday sometime. Definitely not worth the tram fee and the extensive wait. read more

Our Birthday lunch missed most of the marks. Slow service. Uncomfortable unpadded chairs in a crowded noisy bar area while the elegant dining room sat unused. Cuban sandwich and fries left unfinished as way too dry and unseasoned food preparation. This is New Mexico and spicing up is the culture. Plates went uncleared, no follow up, had to request the tab to leave. Sat outside 40 minutes waiting for table and not allowed to use restroom unless already seated. Not customer focussed. Management policy adjustments in order. read more

I was there Wed August 28 2019. The service was unbelievably slow. As an example we had to wait around 50 minutes from the time we ordered dessert to when we got it. I also understand that there might need to be a mark up for food served at the top of the tram, however, the price ($30 - $40 entrees) did not match the quality of the food. I ordered the red chili buffalo ribs. Not a hint of spiciness. The ribs were overcooked, bland, tough and stringy. Sandiago's Grill at the base of the tram has much more reasonably price better quality food. I will not be dining again at 10 3. read more

I was really excited to see improvements to the top of Sandia Peak. It's a great place for tourism and recreation, therefore a restaurant is a great asset to the mountain. That being said, I'm very disappointed in the lack of accommodation for hikers. After a 8 mile hike up, we were hoping to have a nice bite to eat. Unfortunately there are no options if you have a dog, and no way to get any snacks/food to go. The hostess suggested we visit the tram building for vending machine options.. build a multimillion dollar facility to suggest goldfish and candy bars from a vending machine. Is it too much to ask to accommodate hikers and outdoor enthusiasts with food options without sitting down and making reservations? Disappointed, and hoping they will adapt to accommodate the many different visitors that use the mountain. read more

I really, really wanted to love this new place, but I can't give it more than 3 stars at this time. The building is beautiful, the views are unbeatable and of course the tram ride is always a plus. The food was very good, but not extraordinary. Service was slow and "stiff." When a cup of coffee is delivered, I need the cream right away, not 15 minutes later. When you factor in the parking fee, the tram ride and 5 (ordinary) cocktails among the 4 of our group, it was $180/person. This is not New York City! I suppose this will be a real treat for tourists and perhaps some special occasions, but I hope they never have to depend on the Albuquerque market. We have plenty of other excellent restaurants. read more

when I read about Ten 3 , they said no hats, no Hoodies , up scale dress. we show up according to the rules. guys with hats on , the rest of the people look like they were going to a Hillbilly wedding. they don't serve sweet tea, they have a small selection of mixed drinks. they don't serve any drinks with multiple shots of alcohol . there was a woman with a TANK TOP on , jeans w/ cuts all over. it's more of a beach place with an over priced menu. Food was good , but not for the price I pad. Ten 3 is finally opening at something close to full capacity, and the trip up the tram to this spectacular restaurant is well worth the 15 minute ride up the mountain. The view alone makes this restaurant truly unique but the food and service make it a "must visit" food stop in Albuquerque. Each member of our party of six celebrating Mother's Day had a wonderful dining experience from the appetizers through dessert. My mushroom ravioli with an add-on of grilled shrimp was perfect; the branzino special was cooked to perfection; and the steak and rack of lamb is as good as you can find anywhere. I strongly recommend this unique dining experience for Albuquerque residents and the many tourists who will be returning to our city. As restaurants reopen, many with new staff, the team at Ten 3 is well on its way to delivering the kind of service and hospitality that marks a top shelf dining experience. Don't miss it! read more

First you have to spend an evenings worth of money on the tram to get to 10 3. Expect about 50 bucks for this trip depending on the folk you are taking up. The food, all be it a bit different, was only average in preparation and in presentation. The cost however, was on par with an upscale restaurant. All in all it was an experience, but having done it once, that's enough for me. In fairness, my wife does say that I should mention this review is based on the first day they were open. To me there's no excuse for opening up with less than top shelf menus backed by top shelf food. read more

Unfortunately, this review is not what I expected to have to write. I booked my reservation 3 weeks ago in anticipation to the dining experience. We arrived 45 minutes early to sit at bar and gave pre-dinner cocktails that were served by the most surly bartender I have ever experienced. And to top it off, had to return the margarita because it tasted like spoiled limes? Not sure. We got seated promptly at our time, which was nice. The waiter was a sweetheart and the lamb was amazing! Unfortunately, everything else was nothing to rave about for a higher class restaurant. Salmon was over cooked and no flavor, green chile mashed potatoes were NOT mashed but had almost full size small potatoes in it. Our meal with 2 glasses of wine came to approximately $200 but did not reflect that in quality, other than amazing waiter. Such a shame! High expectations you should not have about the restaurant that is so high! read more

I made reservations a month in advance to dine at the much taunted new Ten3. The four of us were very excited about trying it out. We Arrived on time and were seated promptly. But it all went down hill from there. First we ordered pre dinner cocktails. And then an appetizer to share. The appetizer arrived somewhat timely but still no drinks. Finally 45 minutes after we ordered, the drinks arrived followed by a basket of bread and some butter. Would haven been nice if the bread was served along with the appetizer but oh well. Next we ordered dinner from a very sparse menu. Entrees were pretty limited and very pricey. Now we waited, and waited, and waited for our dinner to be served. 2.5 hours from arrival, and after asking several times, our dinner was served. The server made several excuses as to why our dinner was taking so long to serve. None of which seemed to make any sense. All the guests seated around us were served before us, even tho they arrived after us, some much later after us. We also ordered a bottle of wine to be served with dinner. We carefully selected just the right one to go with our meal but when we received the check, it was not the one we ordered and was $22 dollars more expensive than the one we ordered. So the cost of the dinner with tram tickets almost totaled $500. Absolutely NOT worth that. I decided that I should let their manager know so they could rectify the miss step in their customers experience. After leaving a couple of messages on their answering machine, I spoke with the manager Bill Howley who seemed to express concern and asked me if I could give him 15 minutes to "investigate", he said he would call me right back. Never called. I called 2 more times and he would not take my calls. Not a good way to do business. A simply I'm sorry, we will learn to do better from your experience would have ended it but dodging a unsatisfied customer is not good customer service from the manager. read more

I called on a Sunday evening to make a reservation for my birthday dinner in a few weeks. The person taking the reservation seemed a bit unsure and inexperienced but I just thought well they just opened so they are still working through things. I let my friends know and looked into tram tickets. I called back on Monday to see if I could add a person to the reservation. They didn't have my reservation and couldn't get me a table. They kept avoiding ownership of the problem by stating "well I don't know who you talked to...are you sure you called the right number..." Of course I did, I just looked in my call history on my iphone and hit redial. No real offer to fix the problem or offer a discount. Can you imagine if I hadn't called? My friends and I would have showed up on my birthday, rode the tram up, and would have been turned away. So unprofessional. read more

This restaurant is a real gem for Albuquerque. Access is only by tram but what a view. Especially at sunset and nightfall. The food and service were some of the best I've ever had. Great service. Great food. Great experience. People are going to think it's pricy but you get what you pay for.

It was my niece's birthday and she choose this restaurant. The food was delicious, our waitress was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere was delightful, it made me feel as though I was in San Francisco. I am recommending Ten 3 to all my friends and family. Because if the $25 tram ride, I can't dune there as much as I would like. It was a wonderful experience read more

Any reasonably good restaurant will bend over backward to make sure that customers leave happy. They may only get one chance so they try to make sure that it is positive. When the food delivered was not what was advertised (the waitress was asked specifically and acknowledged that it wasn't what I had been told when she delivered it) the dish should have been whisked away, the item removed from the bill or something done to compensate. None of the above. To be fair the waitress did offer to make something else but we had already waited for such a long time for our food and everyone else at the table had already been served. The waitress sensing that we were not happy disappeared until it was time to drop off the check no one from the restaurant management came by to follow up. When I approached the person at the front I was told that she would find out if she could give us a free dessert. Really? The problem with this restaurant starts with the inattentive (or nonexistent) management and extends to the staff and food. Customers can have a less than perfect experience at the best of restaurants. The thing that separates the best from this restaurant is how they deal with it. I expect better from a restaurant in this price range. The quality of the other dinners was pretty mediocre but the amazingly lack of service mentality was what really remains after this experience. Take the tram ride. It is amazing. The views of the city are breathtaking after sunset. But avoid this overpriced and mediocre restaurant and spend your money at one of the city's wonderful restaurants that understand the value of good service and happy customers. read more

Expensive. Pretty cute, but expensive nice view everyone nice but ya if could be worse but could get Herrera

I start each restaurant experience with 10 points, so this is how 10 3 ended up with only two. First point lost at the entrance to the park. They charge $3.00 just to enter. At least Sandiago's gives you the $3.00 back, but not 10 3. Two points off for the next one. The tram. $25 a person to ride this thing up the mountain. There were 4 of us, so now I have already spent $103 dollars and I haven't even set foot in the restaurant yet. Two more points off. We got there at our appointed reservation time, but still had to wait and then when we wanted to sit at the bar and have a few drinks, just like any other restaurant, we were told that the bar was for reserved seating also and we were rather rudely removed. Next point removed. Our alcoholic drinks took forever to reach our table, they actually didn't get to our table until our food had arrived, which was another long wait...another point off. Then our waiter disappeared and we waited...and waited...and waited...and waited. We finally flagged another waiter who took our check and we waited even longer for that to return. two more points off. Then, here is the kicker. I complained to who I thought was the manager and he basically shrugged me off...two more points off. So how does 10 3 end up with two points at the end? Their food was great, but no better than Ruth Chris down the hill. This place really needs to get itself out of the weeds, because after the initial hype wears off, people will stop going due to extremely poor service and unnecessary extra fees. Oh...did I mention I paid close to $500 for this "experience". It would have been less if the restaurant at least validated the tram ride or at the very least offer discounts to those with reservations. read more

I had an incredible experience at Ten 3. It was my last night there and we took the tram up to the top. Great views. Got there a bit early before they opened and check in with the hostess was professional and friendly. The moment they opened we were called and seated. Our seats were incredible, right by the window overlooking the city. The servers were well informed and helpful. The food was incredible. I was surprised and pleased when we ordered the mashed potatoes the server said they did not have any that evening. He stated the chef was not happy with them and decided to pull it from the menu at the last moment. It is hard to screw up mashed potatoes so the chef must have had high standards. Started with a margarita. It was awesome. Had a nice little spice to it. Crab cake for an appetizer. Nice sauce on the bottom. Dinner was steak, veggies and roasted potatoes with a demi glaze. My girlfriend, a vegetarian, has a squash steak. Ended it with a Crème Brulee. Done very differently and was incredibly good. One of the best fine dining experiences I had ever had and look forward to going back on my next trip to NM. read more

Pretty disappointed. We decided to check out ten 3 for our anniversary and made a 7:30 reservation on a Wednesday. Didn't get our food until 8:30, bathrooms were missing toilet paper and paper towels, and nothing was done about that for about an hour after the hostess had been informed. Definitely not the experience we were expecting for the prices we paid for the food, not to mention the $50 we paid for tram tickets. The renovation is beautiful, and maybe sitting in the bar area is a more reasonable experience, but we won't be back for dinner. Such a shame-- we had pretty high expectations. I hope that these problems are things that are just happening because the restaurant is fairly new, and that they get it together soon, but there are a lot of nice restaurants in town that are easier to get to and will provide a better dining experience. Obviously, the views are spectacular but that has absolutely nothing to do with the management of the restaurant-- that's just New Mexico doing its thing. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE. WE (4) went last night. Arrived early and the hostess told us we had to wait in the bar. The bartender told us we couldn't sit in three seats at the bar because it was saved for the owners family. Went to sit at a small table in the bar and we were told no we couldn't sit there if we didn't have a res for the bar. Asked for a glass of Prosecco and were told no again because you can only order that in the restaurant. After 25 minutes in the bar feeling unwelcomed we were called in to the main restaurant and we were seated in the back corner by the kitchen where it was loud and unattractive. Ask our waiter if we could change tables and he said no. Spoke to manager and he moved us to another table. There were lots of empty tables. Waited another 10 minutes and no waiters came. No water, no menus, no bread so got up and asked the hostess Lea for a waiter. After watching her for 5 minutes do nothing we had to wave our napkins in the air for her to come over. She was discourteous, argumentative and instead of apologizing for the terrible service she told us " you already had a table, then you wanted to move and now you except fast service? We are understaffed and you'll just have to wait". Again.... Very welcoming. Finally after another 10 minutes a lovely waitress came over, took our orders took forever to get our food and drinks. Bread was ice cold, corn under the salmon was loaded with hot pepper couldn't eat it, food was luke warm and disappointing but the worst was ordering a martini and having a half pour in our glass. Limited menu, expensive and food not up to par. Operational manager came over and the four of expressed our frustrations. We will not give it a second chance because it was such an awful experience. At these prices including $3 to park and another $20 for the tram, the owner should know better and should have hired experienced friendly welcoming staff from the start, trained for at least 2 weeks at this location instead of making us, the customers, pay for their mistakes using us as their guinea pigs till they get their act together. Albuquerque deserves much better than this. read more
