I've eaten here twice and been unhappy both times. I've tried four meats, nothing stood out. My go to for BBQ will still be Muddy's.

Step thru the doors & be transported back in time, to maybe an old saloon in the Wild West- the bartenders darn bow ties, a fire crackles ahead, & an old-timey piano plays in the background. And if that doesn't grab you, the wood-fired brewery using hand pumps should! Rarely do I make exceptions for atmosphere to win out over food, but the setting more than makes up for any shortcomings the BBQ might have. Put this place on your list!

Went on prime rib night. $27 for an 8 oz with one side. It came out like warm for us both and super thin with a lot of fat so I might have gotten 4oz of meat to eat. We left hungry. Roll was nothing special, sat ontop of pr so soggy. Coleslaw was good, French fries were ok but such a tiny portion. One place to play games chess and checkers infront of a very nice fireplace that they had lit. The beer was not good, not 3 options that were light on the % of alcohol so I got a wine instead. They advertise pr night and there micro brews so I as expecting a lot better from both. We would come again to try sandwiches and sit by the fire. Very disappointing in all though!

Atomic Hog is PHENOMENAL…read more I have never had brisket this stellar. The tenderness, the flavor, and the amount of meat is truly incredible. So perfectly seasoned is the meat that I never use any sauces or condiments. I usually get the collared greens as a side. Once again, it's a large portion, well seasoned and perfectly complementary to their amazing meats. Additionally, the Atomic Hog staff is friendly and capable. Atomic Hog is highly recommended and like many in the area, we hope they find a permanent brick and mortar home!

Seasonally, South Mall (South Allentown, PA area) has a Food Truck event in the front parking lot,…read moreon Thursdays. Food trucks of all kinds. Tonight we tried Atomic Hog BBQ. They don't have a truck, but have a small tented area where they display the menu, take orders and pay (credit cards accepted). Then next to it is a large wide smoker and a table where you hand over the receipt and collect your order. They offer pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, roasted hog and sides (baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, etc). They use their own special dry rub, so this BBQ is not dripping wet. They do have several BBQ sauces to add to your food. The baked beans had a pleasant kick to them. I do think they should use a nice brioche roll instead of the average burger roll. I've had a lot of different BBQ from various states in the country and this was better than average. About an 8 out of 10. I was glad to see no fatty pieces in my pulled pork, but my husband found one in his brisket. That's just a matter of making sure prep is perfect. At South Mall, there are no chairs and tables to dine. So bring your own portable ones and dine near your car or take it home. The entire area is blocked and all the trucks/tents face the center of the large rectangular area. Worth checking out.

Wow! So I am a long term lover of lobster roll, and having a mom that moved to Cape Cod years ago,…read morehad many from Connecticut to Maine. My good friend Andy and I were early strong supporters when Quincy's Lobster Rolls set up their first area shop on Swedesford Road, Berwyn, and were sad when it closed. This year someone opened same franchise in Paoli, but the sandwiches had shrunken in length, were no longer stuffed to the gills with pure claw meat like before, and portions were notable smaller than what we remembered. Enter Cousins Maine Lobster Roll food truck of PA and Delaware, (found on Facebook under "cousins maine lobster delaware / pa" for days/locations, nearest to me Exton Mall, east side across lot from Boscov's parked next to the loop road around mall). They serve up exactly what I used to love about Quincy's (before they cheaper down their sandwiches with smaller rolls, smaller portions, and cot in a lot of lobster meat scraps not from the claw!) For just under $21 you get a 5" frankfurter roll(the proven best vehicle for lobster!) overstuffed with nothing but fresh, tender and delicious Maine lobster claw meat. They have a very broad and interesting menu that includes Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, lobster grilled cheese, lobster tots, lobster tacos, shrimp tacos, Lobster tail and Tots, Lobster Quesadilla, or you can set up your own make at home Lobster Roll Party with everything you need to serve one or two pounds of Lobster claw meet with everything you need! (THAT has "Super Bowl Party" written all over it, and how memorable will that be with your appreciative guests! ) Having the Maine Lobster roll today at the Exton Mall location for the food truck turned me into an instant strong fan, but also refreshed my memory of what I USED to get at the original Quincy's, to the point that I went back and revised my review (and score) for Quincy's Paoli! Check my pix below for menu, Maine lobster roll, and food truck pix! Oh, and before I forget, on days they are in Exton, they are there from lunchtime through 7:00 pm.

Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal.
