It's a super cute temporary rink but man, they way over-pack the people who can skate at each session. While there is an option to purchase tickets there, it's better to pre-pay and fill out the waiver online. Actually, the waiver didn't matter as they gave us our wristbands and ushered us through. The number of walk-ins is limited and sells out fast. We got the 8pm time slot for 1.5 hours, which is ample time to skate. However, so many people had the little push seats to balance with and zip around that they were causing skaters to fall. I got hit from behind and pulled down onto a kid's skate. Yes, part of the nature of the venue but it would have been easier to navigate with less people on the ice. Funniest parts of the evening were, when my friend was filling out my waiver, she asked me if I wanted a helmet and I gave her a look... "what?! A helmet!! No!" When I fell, she was behind me and deadpanned, "shoulda got the helmet". I might go again if friends want to go, but I'd rather go to a roller rink or actual ice rink instead. This rink is such a fun outing for all our family and I've even returned a few more times with friends. I kept hearing about this place through word of mouth and just had to check it out myself. It's a fun place to skate and the workers are so helpful with any questions or even when I fell! They made sure to come right up and ask if everything was okay. I cannot recommend this place enough. Not a bad place to take your kids to go ice skating. It's really small and even the sign says its a created from a portable ice skating company. It gets really hot with the sun reflecting off the ice and could even give you a sunburn. My husband and daughter came back with rosy cheeks. They were sweating bullets too. There's a 90 minute skate session and with the orange skates, it's a bit uncomfortable. The ice melts rather fast with the sun too. If you don't plan to skate, there's benches for you to sit there and photograph. They even let you rent these little orange sea lions for your kids to either push or sit on. My daughter did both and it was a lot of fun for her. It gets crowded rather fast so make sure you know how to skate so you won't hit anyone. The rink was so much fun although it was super small and very crowded. I went with my family on Christmas which is understandable why it was packed. I was helping my friend skate at the time since it was her first time and she was about to fall so she grabbed onto me. Then we both tripped and fell and she ending up slamming her head on the ice. Two workers skated over to us and asked if we were okay, didn't ask to help us up and then got upset at us and said let's not do that again as if we meant to fall. Super disrespectful. I'm absolutely obsessed with this rink!! I'm so happy that I don't have to go far to enjoy that outdoor rink experience, ahem.. Rockefeller Plaza!! This rink is not the biggest I've seen, but it's also not the smallest. The staff is great, my daughter had issues, even with the seal thingie that we rented, but the ice helpers kept an eye on her and helped her up of the ice like 100 times. Sorry guys!! The music is also varied, niece blend of Christmas and top hits. We've visited in the morning and evening. Morning is great for getting in a good skate, less people. But the rink is so beautiful at night that we've skated mostly at night. I just wished the rink was bigger. If you're going for the first time: - sign the ipad waiver BEFORE you get to the pay window. Otherwise, you'll have to go back. - use bathroom before you put the ice skates on. - wear mittens. It's small. It's crowded. It's $10/skate and $6 skate rental. We had an open skate. Our admission said we could skate as long as we wanted. Despite that, kids were burnt out after an hour or so. We circled the rink several times. Grabbed our cute photos and fortunately didn't crash or fall. Very busy on the rink and the space is smaller than I expected. Nonetheless, fun! A festive and fun outing while enjoying our gorgeous So Cal weather. Can't beat it! Helmets are optional if you bring your own. Fill out the waiver online to speed up your entry process. Check in, pay for admission, grab your skates and you're off. Kids had a lot of fun. It's a great experience being that we had such a beautiful day out today and it differs from indoor ice rinks because we didn't have to bundle up. Really fun ice skating rink in Temecula the rink is outdoors so you don't really feel the cold from the ice. It is a bit small compared to the full size rinks I'm used to but works fine the ice does seem to melt pretty quick so if you fall your butt will get really wet. They are hour & a half sessions that seem to last forever but you wanna get your moneys worth so keep on skating. Everyone that works there is friendly and you do have to sign a waiver for you and your kids just agreeing that you won't sue them. If you are in the area I recommend making it out here it's a lot of fun. Im not sure if they are here year around I would assume it's only seasonal since that ice wouldn't last through a Temecula summer in direct sunlight. read more

We came on the New Year's Grape Drop celebration. Its a small ice skating rink and thanks to the big celebration going on the wait for entrance to the ice rink was long; about 30-40 minutes for me. I liked that you could fill out the release form thanks to someone walking by with an iPad. I did not like that there wasn't any sort of rope marking where the line to the rink was because many young kids thought it was a great idea to cut in front of people. The price was alright (I figure you're paying for the novelty of skating outside not actual time and space), the skates were comfortable and even for a first timer like me the ice was nicely even. After maybe 10 minutes on the ice I could see that they just kept letting people in so either you're a good skater that doesn't mind or you have to leave and don't get your money's worth. Still coming on Ney Year's was fun. Live music, beautiful lights, open pubs/restaurants and good hot chocolate. Next time I'll also come during week times and get my money's worth on the ice. read more

Honestly the best place I have ever been too . Bring a sweater and some friends . The only bad thing is that my friend broke her leg there . But the staff was very helpful with the situation and I give a plus for that . They called the ambulance for us and was there with us the whole time . Our family loves ice skating at this little rink in front of City Hall. There's usually parking in the parking structure and if not, we usually can find some on the street somewhere in Old Town. The employees are always friendly and are very good about re-surfacing the ice every so often. They even have little seals for smaller kids to ride if they aren't able to keep their balance on the ice. Unless I feel strongly about a place, I usually don't take the time to rate. Temecula On Ice puts far too many people in the rink at one time. It is extremely unsafe for even my 9 year old who knows how to ice skate. They rent little sleds to the small children who will push them into you or just sit on them as you try to avoid tripping. There are older children skating against the flow and some who inappropriately (due to the crowded rink) try to swerve in and out of people with no success. There should be a fire code or some integrity used here when it comes to over packing an ice rink with a lot of novices. The cost was almost $30 for both rental and ice for myself and my daughter. We had to leave within 15 or 20 mins. It was just ridiculous. We didn't ask for a refund because they have a sign posted "Strict no refund policy". On top of all this, the staff were as close to rude as they could get without being fired. Take it from me avoid this place unless you want to just go and hand them your cash and leave, because that's what we did. read more

This place was a disaster! We drove 45 minutes to get there and never even got on the ice! Only come if you have super exact change and don't plan on splitting between credit cards or paying with a Visa/Mastercard gift card (which is supposed to be accepted everywhere) - you won't get in. Their payment system simply doesn't allow it (for some reason). You would think a simple disclaimer on their website would be a good idea - credit and cash only, exact change please. But that's apparently too much trouble. In the end, my wife wasn't going to skate (even though we went there for her), but my daughter and I were kept off the ice over the matter of one dollar. One ... stinking ... dollar because their system only allows you to split your payment evenly. I don't even understand it. They use the 'square' system. Our regular rink's cafeteria uses this same system and there's never an issue splitting payments and whatnot. Regardless, I've heard of people at this rink being comped their rental skates before, which cost $5, and I couldn't get on because of a dollar. Aside from that, we got there when they opened, and within fifteen minutes, the ice was packed, and there was probably only thirty people there. There's no monitoring on the ice. What a mess! What a waste of gas. Never again! If you want an outdoor rink, go to Rady's. It's for a good cause, and the ice is monitored by the kids from the SDIA. read more
