Small rink with very little seating, no bleachers. Not ideal for hockey. No warm area to hang in either.

No seating area-standing room only with a few random stools to sit on. Horrible place to hold a hockey tournament.

I never learned to skate as a child. I went to Skateworld with friends about seven years ago, but…read morenever continued to practice. Recently, two of my friends found out that I wanted to learn, so we all went out on a Sunday evening. Sundays, Skateworld closes at 8:30. We arrived at 6:30 which gave us plenty of time. Open skate and skate rental costs $25 per person. It felt a bit steep to me, but I realize that they don't make money on much else so it's really not bad. They offer lockers at a price. There is free filtered water. It was a bit odd when my friends brought me a gift bag with knee pads, that they said no gift bags of any kind were allowed. It seemed odd as I thought children had roller skating birthday parties at places like this. At least they let us take out the knee pads and carry in the empty bag. Anyway, the space wasn't too crowded on Sunday, so it was easy to practice. I also rented one of those little wheeled walkers so I didn't fall all over the place. I was a bit bummed to learn that they didn't offer lessons, outside of their monthly "academy". I would have loved to drop in for a single session. All in all, it was a pretty good time. I would return to skate again.

Got a text from them advertising a Sensory Friendly skate day on Sunday 10am-noon. I'm not sure I…read morewould call it Sensory Friendly. Yes, they play the music quietly and the lights are kept on, but there's so many screaming children with Skate Mates going in all directions that it gets overwhelming. I know they have a similar lunch skate times that are adult only at 10am-noon, but that's during the work day.

If I could give 500 stars I would!! We went to one of…read moreReed's clinics before Christmas and it was insane!! The energy that he had nonstop made me exhausted!! Reed worked the ice spending time with each goalie while In their groups. He was non stop!! He was funny, personable but don't let the jokes fool you... he was quietly kicking all those goalies arses but they didn't even realize it, they were having too much fun! He (and his top notch coaching staff) worked these goalies hard but it was fun and all through positive reinforcement. The drills were a little outside the box which was amazing because these goalies are all used to doing the same exact drills. And for anyone that ever says goalies can't skate, watch Reed skate for 30 seconds. His physical ability on the ice is like no other coach we have worked with!! We were supposed to travel back to CA for another clinic but do to covid it was postponed but we will for sure make that trip again as soon as he is back open for business!!

There is not another goalie coach I have come across that has the enthusiasm, passion, drive and…read moreability to work with young goalies that Reed has. He makes it fun at the same time he is making them work hard. He's always smiling. He's always loud (I think he just is. Not because he's yelling, but it's just his voice and style on the ice) and full of energy. He has fun with the goalies wether they are just doing drills or playing games... did I mention that he always makes it fun?!?! We there the goalie is 8 or 18, he knows what to work on, how to get them to focus and put in the work. I wish we lived closer to attend his camps more often. We have no problem driving 5 hours from Las Vegas out to attend a weekend camp of his. The level of professionalism between him and his staff is excellent and he has a great background for coaching. As a goalie himself, he knows the position inside and out and he had such strong coaching himself that the foundation it laid for his style is amazing. You don't just want some coach shooting pucks at your kid and expecting them to stop it. You want someone like Reed to explain the drill, why they are positioned the way they are, what they can do better, and ultimately the most optimal way to stop the puck. Did I say how much fun he has doing it?

It was a great chance to celebrate, experience a new skating rink and in a different location; far away from home, but worth it! Inside: It's really tropical inside! I love seeing the sunset decor around the skating rink, the tall palm trees painted along the walls, colorful lighting, as well as colorful groovy carpet! Haha! Also, the place was decorated for St. Patrick's Day, which was the following day! There are lockers to keep valuables for $.50, and a full on concession stand! Crowd: Super friendly, as well as hilarious! We laughed plenty, met so many new people, as well as heard a number of interesting stories! The crowd truly reflected a bunch of the happiest people I've met! The energy was uplifting! Also, it was really cool to see several familiar faces from another skating rink!! While I was able to capture a bit of a skating, I put my phone away for the remainder of the night, when the floor was packed with people!! Music: Different nights, different music; a variety was played! Parking: Plentiful & free! Birthday Party: There were a lot of people, as it was the pastor's birthday! People really showed up for him! The party was catered; there was plenty of food for everyone! Thanks again, very kind & what a delicious surprise! Overall: We had fun celebrating the birthday guy, meeting, laughing & skating with new people, as well as an overall great time! Cheers to a fun Girls' Night Out!
