It wasn't easy coming from the brand new multimillion dollar lakeside little league Fields back to…read moregood old fashion dirt Fields, but this place has proved to be just fine for boys and baseball. They keep the Fields well maintained, the boys help too. The snack bar is nothing fancy but has the classics- soda, nachos, candy, seeds, etc. The area is shared with girls softball and BMX bikers, plus El cap is adjoined, so the area can get pretty packed if they all have games or practices going. usually parking isn't an issue but it can be. Beware of mosquitos during the summer!

Our Experience with the Crusader Soccer League…read more We had a terrible experience with the Crusader Soccer League before we even set foot on the field for the first practice. As several other parents have already warned, this organization had no warmth and was completely unwilling to issue refunds even though it was not our fault. If you try to ask for one, expect to be shamed, argued with, and stonewalled. Unless you're literally being rushed to the hospital or deployed overseas, there's no reason they'll bend for you. They'll gladly pocket the $150‑plus registration fees. Our interactions with multiple employees were especially disheartening. Communication was cold and combative, seemingly designed to make the process as painful as possible. Prospective families should be aware that the league does not accept in‑person birth certificates (Not shown anywhere on their site); they force you to upload the document to their online system and then trust that the child's digital safety will be protected. (Ironically, the system is known to have bugs that let you sidestep this requirement entirely, yet they still expect your trust...) We were disgusted by the lack of care and transparency and if there's any positives here, we're just relieved we won't be tied to this league for years to come. Enjoy the money we needed, hopefully it was worth it Crusaders.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience with this organization…read more My son suffered a serious ankle injury during practice and was later diagnosed with a Grade 2 ankle sprain that will keep him out for approximately 8 weeks. At the time of the injury, he could barely walk. What was most upsetting was that the coach did not step in to help him. Thankfully, one of his teammates helped him get up and assisted him walking up more than two flights of stairs while he was clearly in pain. As a parent, seeing that level of lack of concern from the coaching staff was very disturbing. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of follow-up afterward. Not once did the coach send a text, call, or email to check on my son's condition or recovery. There was no acknowledgment of the injury situation and no concern shown for his well-being. We sent multiple emails regarding my son's injury and requested consideration for a refund since he would be unable to participate for 8 weeks. After repeated follow-ups, we finally received a response, but there was still no apology for the delayed communication and no explanation as to why our emails had gone unanswered for so long. The response felt dismissive and entitled, especially considering the circumstances involving an injured player. Instead of addressing our concerns, I was accused of attacking and being disrespectful toward the coach. That was never my intention. I was simply expressing our frustration and disappointment over the situation and the lack of communication. There was still no apology or acknowledgment of any mistake on their part. This organization promotes the idea of being a "family," but unfortunately that was not our experience at all. During the time our son needed support the most, we felt ignored and unimportant. The overall experience made it feel like collecting fees mattered more than caring about players and families. The fees are expensive, and with those costs comes an expectation of professionalism, communication, and compassion. We have been part of other organizations that charged much less and still treated players and parents with far more respect, support, and genuine care. I hope this organization seriously reevaluates how injuries, communication, and player welfare are handled moving forward because no family should have this kind of experience.

My 10 year-old daughter has really loved her training sessions with Coach David the past 5 months…read more After playing her first season of club soccer she wanted to continue to elevate her game and get in some 1:1 training. Coach David came highly recommended by her club coach and we've been very impressed by him. He has helped her improve her shooting and technical skills as well as coached her through the mental side of the game. What really sets Coach David apart is that he truly takes the time to get to know each player and find out what makes them tick both on and off the field. He came to several of my daughter's club games to see her in action which really helped build trust and foster a stronger relationship. When I asked my daughter (unprompted) what she liked about Coach David, this is what she said: "I like the way he talks to me... the conversations we have really help. He is really encouraging" Coach David is definitely worth the investment in your child's mental & technical game!

Update: it's a year later and both my kids have grown so much. Their play on the field has…read moreimproved 1000%. My older son is now one of the most respected players on his team. Last game he played center mid and ran the offense for the team on the field. Coach David has guest coached for our rec team, he's run a practice and he's attended games to see the boys play. The color scheme is beautiful and creates calm environment vibe. No kids were running around screaming from room to room. It's like the kids recognized the difference and moved accordingly. There was still a trampoline which of course kids were jumping and having a great time. It was not library quiet but also not the wild west. I liked the balance. My fave thing at the entrance was a hand washing station. It was out of order so hand sanitizer was offered but I thought it was amazing. You should totally wash hands before going into a shared play area. It's a good attempt to keep germs and spreading illness low. They offer many rooms: play structure with slide and ball pit, rocks, robotics, spinning chairs, kitchen, gardening, puzzles, coloring, legos, grocery store, trampoline and a great infant to toddler area. Additional cost rooms are diy slime, canvas painting or artwork, glow in the dark room. You can reserve a nice seating area for your family to relax while kids play and they also offer birthday party packages. Pricing is higher than Grossmont which makes sense for all the new additions, location and size. There is no in and out privilege. Private lot with a good amount of parking! This is a thoughtfully executed learning/play center. Highly recommend!

General admission was $29, and for that price, the only included play area was a VERY small playground that seemed better suited for maybe 1-2-year-olds and only suitable for around five kids at a time. Almost everything else inside costs extra, with pretty significant up charges. They had a few construction toys but all broken. Literally NOTHING else. On top of the admission price, they charge another $10 for an adult to accompany their child, plus you have to purchase/use their socks. For what you actually get with general admission, I could not believe how expensive this place was. There was almost nothing for the kids to do without continually paying more. I was also surprised to see so many 5-star reviews because our experience was nowhere close to five stars. I ended up asking for a refund and leaving. Thankfully the front desk was accommodating. We went to Kids Empire down the street instead, which had exponentially more for the kids to do and cost us about half as much. I really wanted to like this place, but the value just isn't there. I would absolutely recommend Kids Empire
