Where do I begin, please bear with me. I took my nephew to the Sockers v Strykers game last night,…read more& it will be our last. Our seats we closer to the Sockers fans, and their team bench. Those socker fans were probably some of the drunkest, most obnoxious fans I've ever seen. One of there supporters told me they chartered a Bus from San Diego, and were drinking the entire time. I would have expected better behavior from the fans of The reigning Champion Sockers, than what was displayed last night. Do better Sockers, someone is always watching!! D.T

I went to the game 3/24/23…read more First time .. and last time. The game was fine. Getting into the arena was near impossible. The window people would not simply sell me 4 tickets. They insisted that I install some stupid app on my phone and establish an account (who knows where) BEFORE selling me the tickets. Naturally establishing an account required providing personal contact information. All this nonsense was going on as other people were waiting in line to approach the box office. I flatly refused and was only then (and begrudgingly) sold 4 paper tickets. It then took 2 or 3 passes for each of us to get thru the metal detectors. WTF! i'm not trying to get into the oval office. Just trying to experience a 2nd rate team playing a 2nd rate sport. At the very least I expected a welcoming reception. Major fail. I'm not going back.

Let me preface this review by saying if you have a girl player, then San Diego surf is perhaps the…read morebest soccer program for girls in the area. But my review is focused on boys. Parents, stay away from this program. You will pay a lot of money, and deal with a lot of hardship and coaching BS, for very little outcome. For boys, their recruiting process is awful - worse than that, it's nonexistent . Their coaches are biased, there is no camaraderie on the teams, and no attempt to build any. Coaches will not talk to the parents, will not give players guidance or positive direction, playtime is entirely arbitrary to how the coach feels on that week . They just want your money. If your child is a boy, look at an MLS next program. They're relatively new in San Diego, but they're increasing. College coaches and college programs look more favorably on MLS next than on boys ECNL.

They have these massive fields but give each team a quarter of a field size to practice, with tiny toddler sized nets. My child was also treated poorly and "punished" by taking away play time even though they showed up consistently. Coaches play favorites and award play time to kids they like, or parents they have relationships with.
