My daughter can easily play for the full three hours and still not be ready to leave. It's definitely geared toward high energy kids who need space to move. She leaves tired and happy every time. The place is kept clean and I always see staff walking around with a tiny handheld vacuum cleaning throughout the day. It's kind of funny but also reassuring because you can tell they're staying on top of it. We've had good experiences with the employees too. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they allow you to bring in your own snacks, drinks, and food. That honestly saves us money and makes it easy to hang out for the full three hours without constantly buying concessions. Their concession stand is mostly chips, cookies, candy, and bottled drinks. There isn't really hot or substantial food available, which isn't a big deal, but it's something to keep in mind so you can come prepared. There are couches inside the play area for parents, but I usually sit at the tables in the lobby. Now that my daughter runs around independently, I can actually sit and relax while she plays. It's nice not feeling like I have to hover the entire time. We purchased the Elite Membership for $50 a month. It includes three hours per day every day plus 10 percent off merchandise, concessions, and birthday parties. For us it's worth it because she genuinely uses it multiple times a week. If you go often, it makes sense financially. Parking is also super easy. There's ample parking and we've never had to circle or deal with any hassle, which is always a plus when you're unloading kids. The sock policy wasn't a big deal for us. We don't go on the trampolines, just our daughter does. When we showed them we already had grip socks from another place, they only charged us $3 for theirs as a one time purchase. We just wash them and keep them in the car so we're always ready. If adults aren't playing, you can walk around in your normal shoes or socks. My only complaint is the music on Friday evenings. They usually have an emo playlist playing. It's not about the volume, just the type of songs. I'd personally prefer more current top hits or upbeat family friendly music during play time. Not a huge issue, just something I've noticed. Overall, it's a great place for kids to burn energy and for parents to actually sit down for a bit. We'll definitely keep going.

After we were doing doing some basic tourist-y things, I hopped on Yelp in search of a few parks located withing the vicinity. Maruta Gardner Playgound seemed to be the most entertaining and appropriate for my wild child. Parking was plentiful and the size of this particular playground was great. Not only was the look and design very unique, you really couldn't ask for a better view. Seating was plentiful and again, the design of things were so cool. Shade is easily found and the play structure is great for children + adults of all ages. Lastly, there are restrooms and water fountain located not too far. Shout out to Ms. Maruta Gardner!! My daughter and I thank you because this place wouldn't have been possible without you. Your dedications and love for your community was undeniable. Thank you for beautifying everything around you and rest in paradise. 5/5 Stars!! Definitely a must if you are in San Diego!!

I just went by the location Was excited to set up a party…read morefor my daughter in this location It is in a nice new mall which I really liked Parking is available and not far from the location Packages is for minimum of 10 for birthdays starts from 40 to 50 per kid which was fine with me since it has been expensive They have a small side area for birthdays The biggest issue for me that they charge 100 dollar extra for bringing outside food they only allow cupcake and drinks with no extra charge which is not usually enough if kids r hungry It made no sense to me to pay an extra 100 just to get a pizza for 10 kids which was what I planned I passed on it Either u guys provide ur own package or take a way the extra 100 for things like pizza or allow it with no extra charge I understand if alot of food is included it can be messy but should allow pizza cake and drink with no extra charge

Slime Kitchen is such a fun and adorable spot for kids--definitely a highlight of our spring break…read moretrip! The whole experience was hands-on and creative, and my kids had an absolute blast mixing and customizing their slime. We've actually been to another slime place in LA before, and while it was bigger, the slime quality there just didn't compare--it kept breaking apart and tearing. The slime at Slime Kitchen, though, was so much better. Super stretchy, smooth, and held together really well. You can tell they use high-quality materials. We ended up making slime as a family, which made it even more memorable. It is a little on the pricier side--if we'd known ahead of time, we probably would've just let the kids do it--but honestly, it still turned into a really fun family experience. If you're visiting San Diego or just looking for something different to do with your kids, this is definitely worth checking out!

He shouted out the total for two wristbands and I let him know there was a different price online. He shouted out to purchase the wristbands online for that price. I walked away purchased the wristbands went back to pick up the physical wristbands. He scanned the barcode and put the wristbands on our wrist. And then with a smile said the list of rides that were closed. And then said " we are short staffed and due to that we do not have employees at the rides once they get here at 12:30 then you'll be able to get on the rides" I looked at my 10-year-old and said OK we'll go walk the beach and get a bite to eat until they open up. Guess what the staff never got there! Honestly, he thought it was funny when he told me that we weren't going to be able to get on rides until the other staff got there. There were a few rides like the mini dipper and the carousel. But who buys wristbands to get on a couple rides and then get on the bumper cart. If that's the case then I would've just bought individual tickets. LET YOUR GUEST KNOW AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU ARE SHORT STAFFED AND THE PARK WILL NOT BE RUNNING AS USUAL!! I had to keep looking for staff to let us on rides and then even then I wasn't able to get on every ride. I paid for a wrist band for myself and my daughter thinking that we were going to be able to enjoy the day but we were not. I do want to point out that I'm a single mom and low income and this was supposed to be something amazing for us. $100 to Belmont Park is absolutely nothing but for me it is. And just FYI, I a lot of people kept leaving the park upset. But for them, they didn't purchase wristbands. We waited till after 5 PM hoping that as the shift changed employees would come and open up all of the rides, but that never happened. I was hoping to get my money back for the wristband, but because the employee at the counter was so aggressive I was honestly afraid to go up and ask for a refund. I'm hoping Belmont Park will make this right and provide my daughter and I with an opportunity to return to Belmont Park at no charge to us and be able to get on the rides.

This one is further from restrooms but the area more south (that doesn't have the outdoor gym equipment) is right next to a children's restroom -all individual locking stalls. I'm giving 4/5 stars because there are unfortunately homeless loitering in the pavilions sometimes, trans propaganda written on the sidewalks regularly, and the benches and tables can be quite dirty. Also, the bathrooms have large black widows above the toilets. I know these are things that can't be controlled 24/7 but it would be nice to have a homeless / propaganda free area for my kids at such a wonderful playground. Do be warned, if you're a parent coming alone with more than one young child, it is scary. Your kids can get out of eyesight in an instant with how much there is to do. Just a word of advice for my fellow parents out there! I could barely keep up with my two by myself.
