Do not go to this restaurant, I ordered the Quesa-Birria Tacos and once I started to add cilantro and onions I saw a Ladybug Pupa just stuck to a piece of cilantro!!! When I called to let them know about it and to possibly get them to wash the cilantro again she just responded with an uncaring attitude, stating she will 'let them know.' I'm gonna upgrade my review to a five star rating, because I've come here multiple times, as well as tried out other Mexican restaurants, and this is the one that has been the most consistent. I don't say this lightly, being a Tex-Mex food junkie and a Houston native. Tele's is the best Tex-Mex restaurant in the city of Longview. When I walk in either side of the doors, I know that I'm going to get food that tastes great at a reasonable price, especially after an experience at a restaurant that has been lackluster. So, I think what I'm gonna do at this point, is just make Tele's a weekly patronage, as much as I can. Keep up making the great food and being hospitable to your customers. I ordered the ribeye steak. It was paper thin, burnt on edges, overcooked, dry, with no flavor. Not impressed with service or response to inquiries to verify that it was if fact a ribeye steak. It looked like a poor cut of flank steak being passed off as a ribeye. read more

It's some really, really good. Tex-Mex. You really need to find out why this place has been open all these years. The charro beans are amazing. The fajitas really are probably the best in Texas cuz they're consistently awesome. Margaritas are tall and cold. Service is welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was bigger than I expected on the inside, the booths were really nice. The spicy queso wasn't bad it just wasn't spicy. Portion sizes were ridiculously small maybe 1.5 scoop of rice and beans for a 14$ plate. Not the greatest tamales but it was decent. Salsa was watery and the chips were not done correctly. It's never okay to argue with a customer. I asked for hot chips when we had been served them cold, and ate them anyway waiting for fresh. Pedro should have accommodated the request instead of making excuses. Tele's in Diana has good fresh food and we drive extra miles for it. However, I will not be so inclined to go again. read more

The sign says authentic Mexican food it was far from authentic the meat on it look like a ground up goulash mixture and the tortillas were soggy greasy and falling apart in my hands and when I call them what we're sorry and they could care less about trying to make it right. The lady that was not Hispanic so no we're not offended or Tex-Mex to me Tex-Mex don't even taste or look like this didn't even try to make it right to say I'm sorry have a good day. And my husband ordered me the taco plate with three tacos on it he got red salsa and chips that come complimentary when you order a meal and that was $9.95 but he didn't know any different and he paid $19.25 and when he got home I looked up the menu and found out how much it was and call them and they didn't even try to make it right until I asked him four times read more

I'll start by saying the food was ok. The service, however, left much to be desired. Hardly anyone in the place, yet they were more worried about busting tables than waiting on my husband and I. Ordered and was asked if I wanted beans and rice with it--didn't get it. When food came asked if I wanted more salsa--didn't get it. The queso was so thick, creamy, delicious, and tasted so unique. They offer complimentary chips and salsa. The chips taste fresh and warm and the salsa isn't too spicy. I have tried their mexican quesadillas. They come with 3 quesadillas and it costs about 10.00. The enchiladas are amazing as well I tried the sour cream enchilada and they had the perfect amount of creaminess from the sour cream and cheese. This is a typical Tex-Mex restaurant that has large portions and reasonable prices. The food was god, but beware everything is loaded with salt and you will be craving water after eating here. The fajitas and quesadillas, for example, were good but the portions are large - a solo order of fajitas as well as the quesadillas will be more than enough for two people. The service was very good. The drive-thru window is convenient, fast, and the people there are friendly. Today I had someone pick me up a half order of the appetizer Shrimp Quesadillas. It comes with four quesadilla wedges, guacamole, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and pickled jalapeños. They were delicious!! I had them at the Diana location before, and they were just like these -- loaded with big chunks of chopped shrimp and gooey cheese. Lots of shrimp! Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Tele's today at lunch. Group of nine and they had no problem splitting the check. You pay at the register. Love that each individual gets their own bowl of salsa. You have to ask for butter (not from east tx so not familiar with this concept, but others were panicked at first!) Chips were fresh and salsa was just spicy enough. Lunch menu $7.50-$10.00 but other entrees were reasonably priced ($9-$15 give or take). You can find a menu online ahead of time. It's fairly extensive. I ordered the lunch tacos al carbon, one beef one chicken. Served with rice, beans, sour cream, pico and guac. $9.62 with tax. Perfect serving size and loved every bite. Meat was well seasoned and not dry. Don't normally love rice and beans but these were good. Got a decent lunch crowd. Service was on point and the food came out quickly. This is my favorite mexican restaurant in Longview. I take my mother there every time I am in town. The service is friendly from the host all the way to the cashier. We have tried pretty much everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. I recently needed a place to have a post memorial service luncheon for 20 people on a Thu. afternoon. My favorite mexican restaurant that helped me through my pregnancy. This place opened when I was pregnant with my son. My husband and I literally ate there every day. They have great food and great service. The chips and salsa are great. They even brought me food and gifts to the hospital when I had my baby. They are a staff that takes the time to get to know their customers and takes great care of them. I have since moved away and even though it is sometimes months before I go in there, they always recognize my family and are quick to check on us and provide us with the same great service we have gotten from day one. read more

Around here there is a lot of Mexican food to choose from, and one of the very best is Tele's. Friendly staff is helpful and attentive. Many of the menu selections arent what you see on the average texmex menu. Everything I've tried is surprisingly good. Chips and salsa are perfect. Decor is more east Texas than the standard painted sombreros and bullfighters. There are some trophy heads and deer hunter art but the food will overshadow any decor issues you might have. read more
