This company was excellent to deal with. They were fast to respond and confirm my appointment…read morewhen my AC wasn't operating. They charged a comparably lower diagnostic rate than their competitors. They showed up on time and were professional and were able to find the issue (blown capacitor) quickly and get it repaired for a reasonable price. I've saved them in my phone for future reference and will highly recommend them to anyone who needs their HVAC serviced.

I Googled what is generally performed for standard a/c tune up. Here is what I did not see the Tech doing. Did not check refrigerant level. Did not open up furnace to inspect or clean evaporator coils. Did not test refrigerant levels. Did not lubricate moving parts. Did not test capacitors or amp draws. Asked for hot water tank flush. Mine had a weird ball drain valve. The last hot water tank installer put in to let out more sediment out from tank. It was not standard. Power Tech had to procure a fitting in order to allow garden hose type thread to be installed. It did not help that my floor drain was clogged in the basement. Another drain was located and the Tech's self coiling hose had to be stretched out to extreme extent. It put pressure on the fitting. And that made it so the water was squirting out of the fitting and getting all over the basement floor. The Tech only drained the tank once. No flushing/purging/refilling to get all the sediment out. No safety and components check. Tech should have stated a proper flushing could not be perform. Tech was on the phone much of the time. I ultimately left the room so tech could take his calls. 6/24/26 I wanted to update my review after owner commented. When I hired you, your demeanor should have been professional from the start. No customer should have to call you back a second time to ask you do to a proper job. You initially earned my trust when I hired your company. You have lost my trust by performing a really subpar job, but still collected top tier pay for the services. You have cost me to spend double and hire another company who will do the proper job. The job you performed was something I could, and have, done in the past MYSELF. I would not recommend your company.

I used the project quote function on Yelp to snag some pricing and info from local plumbers. In chatting with Al over yelp, he had me send some pictures and gave me a general idea of pricing. Unfortunately for me, my setup is non-compliant with current code specs. Fortunately for me, Al was able to come check it out in person the next day. He was then able to get back to me and upgrade my system, install a new water heater, and take the old one out... all within 72 hours of my original request. Some of the larger companies in the area were a week or more out before even willing to come give me an estimate. Can't say enough positive things about Breyer's. From start to finish it was a friendly, professional, and well done project. If i need a plumber in the future, they'll be my first call.

I'll be calling Breyer's for every HVAC need from now on.

How do you help a Senior friend get his air conditioner repaired in Detroit while living in Denver?…read more Through the Detroit Area on Aging and their connections, I was able to find Air Comfort Pro and I was AMAZED at how wonderful they were!!! Honest, caring and considerate. The reality is I know NOTHING about air conditioners or heater (and in my 70+ years have never taken a HVAC class, go figure!!) so I am at their mercy. After talking to Jeff, I knew we had the best company for the job. The service tech was prompt, courteous and professional. I can not write a higher star review because if I could, I would. They even gave 10% off for the elderly! Thank you Air Comfort Pro for taking care of your my friend and your community. You are the best!!

He even made sure that our A/C, furnace and blower were all set up correctly. I called around 10 HVAC companies to compare service charges. Several places will not reveal their hourly rates which scared me. Air Comfort Pro charged $80 to come out on the service call. This price is about average. However their hourly service rate is only $30, and their charge for freon is only $25 per pound. That is less than half all the other places I called! Happy to support an Allen Park resident too.

I thought they should be able to diagnose better than a guess. I called Crain and they were out to the house the next day. They plugged in a tester and informed me that it was the motor control module that was bad. The cost to repair was $1200.00 and the system was 18 years old. I elected to have a complete system (furnace and AC) installed. Crain was there the next day and did a complete install in one day. There was some miscommunication about Lennox financing but that issue falls to Lennox rather than Crain. Workers were prompt and courteous. They covered my basement carpet with a tarp and even covered my wood flooring steps with a tarp trying to be overly cautious of my home. I thought the tarp on the steps was dangerous for them but that's what they did. I don't believe the cost of the system was out of line. Prompt service, good pricing, courteous workers, steps taken to protect my home, and the install went smoothly. Not sure what more you could ask for. There is always someone who will find fault with some minuscule detail but they did a good job for me. The most important question, Would I recommend this company to you. Answer, Yes. I was pleased with their service and would like to use them in the future.

They did not even take payment before I am happy. They were not the cheapest. But their quote was much better than most other companies in the area. I would definitely reuse this company and recommend to anyone.
