After three weeks of contemplating leaving this review, I have to. I told both your operator and your service guy that I had a rheem tankless before anyone came out. Your service guy had never touched one before and was on the phone with customer support for the majority of time that he was here. I have been using Flo-aire for yrs and my father always used them since the 60's. My air conditioner was not pumping out the cold air as it should in this 90+ heat wave and the technician couldn't have been nicer. Two or three years ago we had Flo-Aire install a new air condition unit. I must say, the installers were very professional, did an outstanding job, and thoroughly cleaned up when they were done with the installation. Today we had a new furnace installed by Flo-Aire with the same results. Professional installers, excellent installation, and thoroughly clean area when they finished. My dad drove me to this location years ago when I had a pilot issue on my first house. Too be honest I had no idea why we were going to this house shaped store front when there were multiple Big Stores on the trip over. Keep in mind I am not talking about "Big Box Store/Wal-mart" because I was schooled early on of their great practices over seas and the quality of their goods to include Food. But that is another book in itself! My research showed their were other filters an parts similar online or at the bigger stores. But the conclusion will follow. I was unaware of this big house like shop and didn't even know the place existed?? The gentleman and lady behind the counter were of much assistance! And assisted me with all the questions or guidance needed. Come to find out it was the Igniter as dad exclaimed. On the trip and I also purchased a annual furnace filter that was name brand (Aprilair) and of reasonable price. Back to the comparison in prices compared to the online store or big stores. Of your lucky to find the actual filter or part to fit your exact model then awesome, but normally the other retailers have a generic model/part/filter fit all or compared to name brand and these my friend are JUNK! I was happy to pay te extra cash to a local business and get a better part and filter and the continued relationship do years to come(hopefully as long as the locals continue to buy local instead of China). And now today although they closed at 1pm and it's Saturday guess who answers my phone call? You guessed it! The good ole in the house like store front (Flo Air)boys right next to Outback Steak house!! And yes I understand that it is the emergency line, but not one time did I feel rushed off the phone and or haggled to want to come and perform an after hours visit! The gentleman answered all of my questions regarding a leaky evap coil and or drainage line and I explained I would stick it out (hot weather) and come in Monday for parts. Folks I spend time on reviews on businesses that I believe in and please continue to inform your kids of the impact buying local can or will do if it were to seize! Thank you guys! And I have no idea why there are no reviews up until now? Maybe shows you that your work and business sells itself! Keep up the good work!! And as mentioned in the Tip I listed it below... A++++++ Always lean on the side of caution when repairing or do it yourself jobs on furnace-HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems. There is a thin line and too many things that can go wrong if your not a trained professional. But if you choose not to use them as your technician I recommend you buy your parts and replacements (filters,etc) from these guys! Called to just get a furnace cleaning & check-up, DTE no longer does this. They used to check voltages, wires, components, blower, oil the bearings, & check for CO leaks. they were very through. I made appointment for A.M. with the girl I spoke with & she said serviceman will call when on his way that morning. He called at 3:30 - 4:00 p.m.. Not a big deal but annoying. Serviceman was a nice guy I guess, he blew some compressed air around inside the furnace blowing out some dust & checked for carbon monoxide and was gone. $100.00 was a bit steep for that, I was expecting more. Oh well I guess this is what you get these days, I sure miss DTE... Didn't even buy me a drink! read more

I must say the service we recieved should be a lesson to EVERY other service company out there. Prices are right on target We originally called them for frozen pipes which is a big deal since we have boiler heat. they came out and fixed the pipes and we were very happy and warm. The following Sunday the heat went out again so we called and within an hour and said it was our Carbon Monoxide sensor - fixed and working again. No charge. Then today the system went down again, the reset switch wouldn't work so I called again. 30 minutes later the technician was here! Impressive! He discovered the cause of the sensor shutting off the system, which is likely the cause of the pipes freezing in the first place. There was a Racoon napping in our chimney. How crazy. So, knowing how vicious these creatures are I didn't want the tech to get hurt and he was afraid the racoon wood continue to venture into the house. So he found a grate that would allow air flow and access to the sensor and bolted it to the front of the furnace! read more

To start with ,it's January 9 2018 ,we lost our heat December 23 2017 . We decided that we were going to fix it our selves,went on internet,watched , read and applied all that we learned.well it was fixed numerous times.Then we gave up and called the company that installed the boiler .Flo - Aire .Best thing we ever did .We have heat ! I had the opportunity to speak to service manager, receptionist ,each time I called was a great customer service. Bob the service man that came to the house to fix the Boiler was Awesome! He was a complete gentleman,he called first ,He even waited,I wasn't ready. Very respectful and he new what to do to fix the problem.My only regret was Not calling sooner and letting a Professionals help us . Thank you all so much . read more

90 degrees out and the central air unit broke. Called Flo Air and they squeezed us into their schedule the same day. Fixed the air in a few minutes time. Fair price, reliable service. I will define toy use them again. read more

Called 5 HVAC contractors to work on our ductless mini-split heat pump, and only Flo-Aire said they were familiar with these and willing to work on ours. The tech seemed to find the problem after two visits (bad blower motor), but failed to call back with an estimate. After several calls and several weeks, I finally received a verbal quote of $1,700, with no firm estimate on when the work could be done. This price seemed unreasonably high. I found the motor for less than half the price from another distributor, and had another contractor inspect my heat pump - turns out the problem was with a $2 capacitor. Flo-Aire probably has their strengths, but min-splits are not one of them - and I expect parts to be marked up by contractors, but 100% seems way out of line. The tech was friendly appeared to be knowledgeable, but did not find the problem or follow up in a timely manner - very disappointing. read more
