Caesar salad
Maria S.

I went to a social event there. They had offered a free brewery tour for the first few folks who attended. While I was offered a tour, I'm not into beer so didn't take one. Our gathering was on the third floor. The view of Downtown is spectacular. The live music was too loud so it was hard to have a conversation. You order at the bar but the food is brought to your table. I ordered a Caesar salad with no added protein. I found it pricey for the quantity served. It's $14. There's plenty of free parking and that's a plus.

I loved this brewery! The beer flight I got was really good and such a good deal, and a great way to try several beers. However, the fried mac and cheese elote balls I got had barely any elote in it (maybe one kernel of corn) which was a bit disappointing as that was the appeal to me. There is a huge parking lot which is a plus!

great city view from second and third floor. good whiskey. big parking lot. happy hour until 6. outdoor patio seating available as well

We had a great first visit to Tejas Brewery! Everything we tried was so tasty. I got a beer flight and honestly couldn't even pick a favorite--they were all that good. My boyfriend got the coffee porter and really loved it too. We also ordered the elote mac and cheese balls, and they were delicious (the marinara sauce they were served with was such a good touch). The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The location is awesome with a nice view of downtown, and they had tons of specials going on. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

This is a great hang out spot or even a date night spot. The first floor has a bar and does tours. Second floor has a full sit down restaurant. Third floor is the roof top with a bar and amazing view. You can also get food on the third floor but have to order it at the bar. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and seemed happy to be there. The old fashion was really good and went down nice and smooth. The burger was perfect. Super juicy and had that homemade taste. The fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. No complaints at all. I will definitely be back soon.

Food: did not order food. Beers- Hefe was nice. Would prefer more citrus flavor My date's comments: Amber- smells malty but flavor does not match the nose. Festbier- "I don't remember" of purpose was to be festive was not memorable. Service: lovely! Attentive but not overbearing. Reminded us happy hour was ending soon so we could get in our orders. Ambience- bummer that 3rd floor patio was closed for private event :-( second floor patio- very loud w train, bit of exhaust at times. Be forewarned.

Tejas Brewery is truly a gem with a space that's absolutely breathtaking. The first floor is the brewery and a spacious outdoor that's perfect for your furry friends. The second floor features a full-service restaurant, and the third floor takes you up to the rooftop with one of the most stunning view of the Houston skyline. A perfect afternoon would be exploring the exhibits at Silver Street Studios located right next door, then heading to Tejas Brewery to watch the sunset with a refreshing beer in hand. I'm looking forward to return with my family and friends to catch their live music events and trying out their hot food items. My only critique was that the beer wasn't cold as I would liked, especially when you are craving a crisp and refreshing drink. That doesn't take away from the experience, I would recommend Tejas Brewery to anyone that's looking for great time.

Lively place for drinks & meals when the sun goes down! The second floor is the bar which faces the city! Plenty of patio tables, heating fans... it's an industrial deco! Too bad it's right at the railroad tracks. Definitely, a place to hang out!

Tejas at its best! Service and atmosphere: Awesome! both were great plus fantastic location overlooking beautiful Houston downtown. All staff members were friendly and super helpful not to mention level of attentiveness. Food and drinks: Again, very good in both areas. The drinks were outstanding. I really like that their support local business and serve bourbon from Houston distillery. Their beer reminds me of European pour. Very good! Food was tasty and you can choose from loaded nachos to salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, you name it! Pricing: $$ - super worth everything we ordered.

Five stars! I am very happy to see Tejas Brewing expand! So glad that this cool space that was Buffalo Brewing (great beers btw), become something fun, delish, with great brews & tasty cocktails! It is right by Sawyer Yards with their cool art spaces and apartment living. They have lots of different sports on their many TVs, including the sports my significant other wanted to watch that day. Great place! Family fun, friendly fun, professional, artsy, sportsy, groups, singles, whatever fun!

My second visit and it was just as amazing as the first. Parking is a breeze (today we actually parked at the Silos and walked since we planned to visit the art studios after brunch). Saturday at 12:30 there were plenty of available tables. Our waitress was super sweet and perfectly attentive. We spilt the birria tacos, chilaquiles, and hash browns. It was all freaking amazing and steaming hot. Plus, reasonably priced. The tacos were a bit greasy, but I decided I didn't care because I'd already blown my diet. The bloody Mary's are also really good especially for HH eight bucks. I also like that there are three different levels because I tend to like to change my views. We ate at the restaurant and came up to the top for a beer where service was just as friendly. I really love this place.

By far our favorite brewery in Houston. The whole experience was great from start to finish. My husband and I arrived by Uber and were immediately greeted by the downstairs bartender. When she heard it was our first time there, she gave us an explanation of each floor and recommended we check out the top floor due to the view. You are not going to get a better view than that! No other brewery that I have been to has a view like that and I have been to quite a few in just about every state. My husband started with a margarita, and then had another cocktail before topping it all off with a beer. We shared fried pickles and a chicken sandwich with fries. The food was great and came out quickly. All of the staff was great, especially the two guys that were working the top bar. I highly recommend and would definitely visit again if ever in Houston.

For drinks, we got the Situationship, Lychee Lemon Drop, Smooth Operator, and Blue Tile IPA. All the cocktails were very tasty and perfectly balanced. Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. This is part of their "Hando and Chill" special Cheers!!

Stopped in for a drink after work, thankfully not too far away from where I work in downtown…read more A big win for me was that they have designated parking, I had parked but wasn't sure and then saw Dylan, bartender, and I asked him and he said I was fine in the parking lot next to the bar, and that they also had parking across the street on Enid St. For me that's one thing that's important is to have parking. Midtown with their questionable parking makes me not want to go. Upon entering, the place is a nice, intimate setting, with a handful of seating areas along with bar and outside seating. Recommend bringing a light jacket as it was a bit cold. The menu had a variety of offerings, and noted that all drinks are $12. They are card only, so bring your card or tap to pay and also your ID. Because they are 3 feet from a school and are considered a private club, they comply with TABC regulations to ensure safety and efficiency in their business. From the variety of the drinks, I opted for my signature drink, an Old Fashioned, it definitely had a bite to it. I slowly sipped on it while I lounged in one of the seating areas. My sister tried the Starduster Ranch Water, and she didn't like it, I had a sip of it and it tasted like only way I can describe is like soap. Saw that they also have Mocktails and THC Beverages, I didn't try any of them. We headed out as we were trying to grab dinner and Starduster doesn't currently offer food. I did get to speak with Dylan again outside and he clued me in on a couple of things they are planning to do such as having food trucks and also open the upstairs for additional space. Overall, I know being new (had just opened last week) there are many things being worked on and do hope that things improve here and they add additional seating, it got busy for a bit and seating was standing only. Thankfully I was there early enough and got a nice cozy seating area. I removed a star because both my drink and my sister weren't really anything special, it tasted like they were premade and poured from a tap, I missed seeing each one be made. I did like that there aren't TV's inside, it helps maintain the personal interactions natural and focused. Outside they do have TV's which makes sense for bigger groups. Though the seating is limited inside, likely to maintain it as a cozy and intimate space, outside has a lot of seating AND they are PET FRIENDLY! In cold weather without heating lamps, don't think anyone would really sit out there. Once spring and summer arrive, it will be nice. On their menu they indicate "Weekly Specials" Spaghetti Western Sundays Monday Night Steak Night (not sure why it wasn't happening the day I was there, would've enjoyed some steak) Tarot Tuesdays Whiskey Wednesday
