When I was in high school, I attended a youth camp in Iloilo. Because of this experience, I was able to taste the province's local dishes and, one of those that I truly remember and crave for until now is, of course, La Paz Batchoy. That's why I am happy that there's Ted's La Paz Batchoy here in the metro. Whenever I crave for this tasty hot noodle soup, Ted's is where I go.
No need to go on board a ferry or ride a plane. With Ted's around, it takes only a jeepney ride until I can satisfy my craving for batchoy. What's more, this batchoy comes at a very affordable price, never exceeding PhP 100 even when you order the biggest bowl. Each bowl includes a generous amount of noodles and topppings (egg, toasted garlic, pork meat, chicharon, liver, and other innards). Sobrang sarap at nakakabusog talaga!
In an instant, I find myself reminiscing my short stay in Iloilo for the La Paz Batchoy is as comforting as the warmth of the people I met during the camp. read more
