Well, I will not not allow the the pandemic stop a local business from flourishing, so here's my honest review: I really thought the service here was great and Dedra is incredibly friendly and thorough. The drop off prices are competitive with the surrounding East Rock Laundromats and they even do pick up and drop off service to New Haven and Hamden. Showed me where to get a card and put money on it, showed me which machine to use by how much clothes I had. I used the 3 load machine which was 5.25. Detergent is free with your wash (if you happen to not have your own) and so is your drying. The wash takes no more than 25 minutes and the drying is 25 minutes as well. 25 minutes might not feel like enough time to dry clothes but it definitely does, so don't pay for extra dry time unless it's necessary. This is place is bright, clean, and well maintained. I tell everyone that goes to a laundromat to come here. And I will definitely be back for all my laundry needs.

For two years I mistakenly used Quality Dry Cleaner on Dwight. I will save my comments about them for their own review but suffice to say I am happy to have finally tried Executive. Executive's service is fast, inexpensive, and effective. These guys got sweat stains out of the collar of a white dress shirt that had been there for over a year (and that quality had failed to remove on multiple occasions). What more can you ask for? Executive is cheaper than nearby alternatives and they do a better job. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Additionally, I quickly learned it was a convenient place for dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up; right off I-91 North exit 6, and back on I-91 South to where I was living in City Point. Dry cleaning isn't done on premises, but if you're ok with that they do a fine job. Whoever does the dry cleaning does well with the basics and clothes are clean and pressed inside plastic coverings until you get them. I never used the washers there, but the place seemed clean and pleasant overall.

I decided to try a new place because Laundry Express was starting to get expensive (though they do…read morean excellent job, so I judge all other laundromats against them). I dropped off my laundry at the 1st Ave location and Angie was really sweet and told me that I could get my laundry delivered the next day instead of driving back. Dave was super accommodating and helped get my account set up so I could get my clothes delivered. He is pretty consistent with saying when he has dropped off your clothes and is readily available by text. Prices for pick up and delivery are reasonable but it's a bit of a crap shoot if your clothes get damaged: one of my shirts were not washed separately so it stained but I was able to remove it. I sent a picture to him but it wasn't really acknowledged, which was disappointing. The second time I used them, I made explicit instructions to wash some clothes separately, including my lab coat. I had a yelp coupon and he was able to comp it via the app, which was nice, but my lab coat came back dingy. FWIW the clothes smelled clean but based on my experience I am not sure I would use them again.

They charged me a ridiculous amount of money for subpar hemming and rips along the fabric that looks like a 5 year old with scissors hacked away at it. The lady did not do what I asked, instead she destroyed my dress. I had specifically told her not to cut the train of my dress and she cut off all of the fabric. Asked for a refund and she refused to give me one unless she could fix it, which she can't because you can't really add a train back onto a dress? She also rudely hung up on me it was the worst customer service I've ever received. So no refund. Money lost. Expensive dress ruined and can't be fixed. Avoid this place entirely.
