These guys get the job done without charging an arm and a leg. I try to avoid franchises for certain things given that mom and pop shops usually provide better service. For two years I mistakenly used Quality Dry Cleaner on Dwight. I will save my comments about them for their own review but suffice to say I am happy to have finally tried Executive. Executive's service is fast, inexpensive, and effective. These guys got sweat stains out of the collar of a white dress shirt that had been there for over a year (and that quality had failed to remove on multiple occasions). What more can you ask for? Executive is cheaper than nearby alternatives and they do a better job. I wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

This is my go to dry cleaner in New Haven! I dropped my dry cleaning off on a Tuesday around 6pm and it was ready by Thursday. They don't do the actual dry cleaning on site, but if you drop it off in New Haven by I think 9am they offer same day, which is awesome! The street parking can be tricky, but they're in a garage that has free parking for the first 30 minutes. I've been in the garage a few times and there's ample parking, huge perk! Initial process takes up a few minutes, but they put a small chip in the clothing so the next time you go in (assuming it's the same item) they just scan the clothing and you're on your way. For pricing, I was really impressed. I dropped off three mens dress shirts, one pair of mens slacks, two female dresses, one wool coat and one wool vest totaling a little under $40 all together. If you pay cash, they give you a better deal and have cash payment coupons online. read more

The people here are very nice, and they're reliable on turning the clothes around. The prices are very good, especially if you leave five or more shirts and pay cash in advance. They're in a great location. Be aware if you're having shirts done that the machines they use may destroy the buttons, though that will replace these (but they do not warn you about this up front). The problem I had was that even when I pointed out the damages buttons they didn't replace them until I'd pointed them out three consecutive cleanings. They then damaged a brand new $90 shirt (partly synthetic, melted part of the collar) and I got a shirt back with a new mark on it. The frustrating thing is that there was not an apology or recognition that they had made any mistakes. Go here when I don't have an option, but it's worth looking at alternatives. - Update: Have recently tried JJ Cleaners on Orange and strongly recommend. More expensive but much better on the shirts. read more

I picked up at least 5 items for dry-cleaning or pressing, and 2 came back damaged. The first was a green silk shirt where the collar was still wrinkled. When I manually tried to unwrinkle the collar, a large stain was still in the crease. In addition, Executive Cleaners put a difficult-to-remove sticky barcode on my shirt tag, which ripped off some of the print when I removed it. Why would a dry cleaner put on a potentially damaging tag on clothing? My second item was a $200 almost-new white silk shirt. The collar was still stained, and more annoyingly, the delicate thread that kept one of the sleeves rolled up had been snapped, and my shirt now needs to be repaired at a tailor. While the people at the front desk were quite nice, this experience caused more problems than it fixed. read more

I ama student at the med school and come here frequently to get my dress clothes cleaned. Their staff is friendly, the prices are the cheapest I have found, and the turn around is always super fast. The pricing is good and the clothes came out clean and pressed, but I can't stand barcoding system they use to track the clothing, and their customer service is awful. The barcode tags are very sticky (read: industrial-strength adhesive), and if they're not careful about where they put them, it could ruin your clothes. I don't like having an additional scratchy thing at the back of my neck besides the normal clothes tag, so I removed all of the barcodes from my clothes, but the adhesive was strong enough to take the color off the tag and rip out a few stitches from it. They also put two holes in a silk belt that goes with one of my blouses just to attach a barcode to it. It's such fine material that I never would have thought they would do that! I'm grateful that they didn't lose the belt, but I'd rather there were no holes in it! TL;DR: If you can deal with having an extra very sticky and uncomfortable tag in your clothing, and you don't mind the attitude of the teenage employees here, by all means take your clothes here. They do a good job of cleaning them for a decent price. But If you're like me and you're fastidious about the way your fine clothes are handled, DO NOT trust this place. read more

They have great customer service personnel with exceptional praises for the Jamaican princess with the bang at the Howe St location. WOW!!!. Decided to take my bomber jacket so it wouldn't get ruined in the wash, and it was charged as a "short coat" for which they charged me $14 while a jacket is priced at $4.99. My jacket is a regular standard size bomber jacket and isn't particularly puffy or heavy it just wasn't "lightweight"enough for it to be considered a jacket by their standards. I was prompted to come here because of the low prices and reviews praising the quality of service, but I can honestly say I won't be coming here again. read more

They destroyed two zippers on two pair of pants. Both zippers came back encrusted with something and then wouldn't work. The woman behind the counter (I suspect the owner) actually claimed that there was a urine stain on the lining and picked at the clothing as if it were contaminated. I haven't peed on myself since grade school. Incredibly insulting and another customer was standing there! Will never, ever go back. read more
