To…read moreuse the laundry machines, you have to pay $2 for a reloadable (kind of like a store only gift card). Then...you have to load it with cash for a balance. Then...you can finally use the washers. Then... when you get to the dryers, you use the card again. The first laundry machine took my money off the card but failed to turn on. The attendant fixed it. But then the beverage machine ate more of my money. I was so frustrated at that point, I didn't even ask for the money back. Now, I'm stuck with this stupid card with a $12 balance that I can only use... you got it... at this laundry mat. If this process wasn't so convoluted I might actually recommend this place.

Well, I will not not allow the the pandemic stop a local business from flourishing, so here's my honest review: I really thought the service here was great and Dedra is incredibly friendly and thorough. The drop off prices are competitive with the surrounding East Rock Laundromats and they even do pick up and drop off service to New Haven and Hamden. They take apple pay/touch free payments and are easily accessible by phone or text. GIve them a shot, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I dropped off my laundry at the 1st Ave location and Angie was really sweet and told me that I could get my laundry delivered the next day instead of driving back. Dave was super accommodating and helped get my account set up so I could get my clothes delivered. He is pretty consistent with saying when he has dropped off your clothes and is readily available by text. Prices for pick up and delivery are reasonable but it's a bit of a crap shoot if your clothes get damaged: one of my shirts were not washed separately so it stained but I was able to remove it. I sent a picture to him but it wasn't really acknowledged, which was disappointing. The second time I used them, I made explicit instructions to wash some clothes separately, including my lab coat. I had a yelp coupon and he was able to comp it via the app, which was nice, but my lab coat came back dingy. FWIW the clothes smelled clean but based on my experience I am not sure I would use them again.
