I was excited to come to this location because the last time I came to Los Rios Historic District they were barely starting the build for River Street Market, (where the store is located). There's a ton of restaurants/shops located here now which is perfect to come spend the day. The store is brand new and it's relatively small so there's not that big of a selection as I imagined but they still had everything I needed. I went as soon as they opened to avoid any crowds. The ladies working were super helpful. I bought a pair of Annie's in Sequoia; they do complimentary branding so I was looking forward to that. I never thought i NEEDED boots. Then, I walked into Tecova. I thought I heard a little voice calling me...Bri, Bri, Briiiiii!! To my surprise, it was these beautiful BOOTS! The sweet, helpful sales associate must have noticed because she immediately asked me if I wanted to try them on. I told her my usual size. She informed me that it's a different "world" as far as sizes when it comes to these cowgirl boots. She brought out a full size smaller than I normally wear and it was perfect. Got to visit the newly opened Tecovas store on Tuesday! When you follow the address on google it will take you to this cute plaza. Look for the restaurant La Vasquero and you should find Tecovas to the left. It's smaller than the one in Rancho, but definitely 10 miles closer if you're in OC. The staff was friendly, helpful, and flexible. I had just bought a pair of Annie's that day in Rancho and was able to return/re-purchase on a different card without any issues! My initial experience in store when purchasing The Annie was great. I tried on the boot in my fitted size and was torn between which color to choose but landed on Sequoia. Upon arriving home I realized my wardrobe works better with Cafe Goat. I came back within hours and it was a seamless exchange. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. That evening I put on my boots for a night out and while walking in them I started to notice one boot felt way looser/more stretched out than the other. I didn't notice this in my original pair and thought perhaps it could be a manufacturer's defect. I came back the very next day to let them know my concern and was quickly dismissed because I already wore them and there was nothing they could do. I wasn't trying to ask for a refund, simply an exchange for an unflawed pair. Now I have boots sitting in my closet that I'll never wear because of the awkward feel. The shop is located in the River Street Marketplace, which is a super cute outdoor mall. Upon entering the store, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome. Even though the store was busy, the team let me know they could bring out anything I needed. I love when salespeople can help more than one person at a time and still make you feel noticed! I tried on a white pair of Abby's and the marigold Annie's. Nicole. The salesperson helping me, was so knowledgeable about the sizing for each style and had me size down half a size for the Annie. Both boots were absolutely gorgeous, but there was something about the pale yellow Annie's that was mesmerizing--I knew I had to have them. Nicole quickly helped me wrap up the sale and offered complimentary branding on the boots, which I decided to hold off on for now. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes with my new boots! Sad to have to write this. I bought a $300 pair of boots here 9 months ago. After 9 months of wearing to an office job ( certainly not cowboying here ) the soles are separating from the boot. Visited the store, who let me know that this is " normal wear and tear " for 9 months. Really? I thought these boots were built on quality? First off the new center that it is located is so incredibly cute! When I went into the store it was really busy since this was during Christmas time and was greeted by several employees. My daughter wanted red boots and tried on several pairs. Jessie was super helpful and helped her decide on the perfect pair. Im not sure how to explain the surprisingly disrespectful and disgusting treatment I received in this store. I went in there with full intention of purchasing multiple things and walked away wishing we hadn't spent a penny. We entered the store half an hour before they closed and immediately said we wanted to purchase boots, we then were basically ignored (despite helping 4 other customers who walked in after us) until their closing time. The girl employee then started performing closing procedures while still ignoring us and then told us that they were closed and needed to "rush us" so they could leave when we asked her for help. We then explained how we had been there for a while and received little help and when she finally went to help us, the other male employee continued to verbally attack us and try to make excuses for why we were ignored. In the end, it only took 7 minutes from when we spoke to her to check out (I was watching the exact times), which could have easily been done before closing. I have worked in the service industry for over 5 years (including retail) and have NEVER spoken to a customer the way we were spoken to tonight. Yet we ended up still purchasing close to $700 worth of product because we wanted it, despite how we were treated. For how expensive each product is in this store, we had much higher expectations for the staff and was shocked at the disrespect we received from the two employees closing Dec. 23. read more
