We recently bought a new home and called Technology Interiors to mount the TV's that we purchased from their company. There were five TV's in total and they sent three people who were at our house from 9:30-1:45, with an hour break (so, under 4 hours). They did the job. Communication was nonexistent prior to leaving, aside from telling me that they needed to adjust the invoice, and when I asked if they had my email and phone number, the attitude started (eye roll and sigh, while flipping the papers to me and telling me that he "didn't have a pen, so he didn't know what to tell me." Additionally, when I asked about the theater system, he told me there was nothing they could do and I would have to figure it out myself. Not impressive. Then the bill for $2500 was sent to my email, which seemed a bit high. After writing a nice email simply asking why the cost was so high, this was the response (see below). Apparently, they are in a league of their own...but only in pricing, and not in courtesy or communication. I want to note that we purchased all but one TV from them and have had numerous appointments in between for help and they were always glad to attend to them (again, not the most personable people, but that I can live with). All of this I could stomach, and the recent bill I could live with, but the email below is the most arrogant, rude, condescending communication I have read in a long time. So no, Nate and Co. -- you aren't "trunk slammers" or other "lowly companies". My father was a "trunk slammer" and he had a Master's Degree, but loved working with his hands and was the most detail oriented, courteous person I've ever met. Then I will also remind you that you wrote this email to a Marine who is 100% disabled and REALLY knows what it is like to "slam trunks". I would only recommend this company to people who don't care about their finances -- not the "little people" who, despite their income level or status, pay attention to detailed billing. Oh, and Nate, I have duel Master's Degree, have run several successful businesses, and I still remember how to speak to my customers. They pay my bills and I actually appreciate their business. I had Nathan come out to a new home that I purchased to give me an estimate on a home theater and entertainment system in my basement. After the in home consultation, I never heard from anyone ever again. I emailed them, called them, and could never get ahold of anyone that could provide an estimate or help at all. I would recommend using someone else. read more

After not receiving a call back for a week (several left messages), I was able to get someone to respond. We had an appointment scheduled on a Friday afternoon. My wife took the day off of work to be home for the appointment. At 1:30 they called to inform us they were running late and wouldn't come on Friday and wanted to reschedule for Monday. The owner didn't seem to care about the inconvenience. He never even apologized. This company has gone down hill after the new ownership. I was able to contact another company that afternoon and someone showed up on Saturday to complete my job. Apparently customer service is not a priority any longer to this organization. read more

We had Technology Interiors set up or home theater and we are very happy. Our theater is awesome and the installation guys were amazing. They were very helpful and courteous. My son-in-law was working on some internet cables and the helped him with tips to make the cables. They also gave him encouragement because the crimping is complicated. We can even control the equipment from our phone. So if one of the kids has it turned up too loud, we can turn it down. read more

I bought a house with a significant low-voltage install but no documentation. I called Technology Interiors to see if they would do paid consultations on what was there and how it works, as well as hopefully some wire traces between rooms. I spoke with someone who identified himself as the owner. Rather than listen to my question, he was nearly combative about what I was seeking and wondering why I was calling, ultimately asking me, verbatim, "what was in it for them." I restated I was interested in paying for their services, but after another few defensive statements and being told how old my system sounded, decided I would take my business elsewhere. Turns out Ovation will do consultations on existing installations, and help convert them to newer systems as well. They're getting my business. read more

I would like to say this was a great experience, but it hasn't been. The install crew cut a hole in our ceiling at wrong place, right behind bulkhead so obviously not a great place for a projector. Then the ceiling repair looks like the photo attached. We are completing a 1700 square foot basement finish and that is not how my ceiling should look. They call at 8 am and say they will be on their way now. They are a 30 minute drive from my house. 10:15 am and no sign of them or communication regarding timeframe, I leave for appointment. They leave me a message during my appointment at 10:52 am, saying they are there and want in. Well when I get home they have gained access to my home!! Um, no. You don't enter a home without permission. And calling and saying you will be there that day "right now", be a professional and schedule a time like every other business out there . And instead of apologizing about entering my home without permission, the response was I called you and you said you would be there, that was at 8 am and you show up at 10:52?? No, no, no professionalism from this place. At first meeting Rick was trying to talk us into meditation and self healing etc. Nope, I had bad vibes then but they came recommended by our builders so my husband went with them. I would not recommend them other than the projector is nice picture. Likely you can get that elsewhere. read more

Terrible product, worse service! I had Technology Interiors Install my whole home system. I have had nothing but problems since they did. When I call, text, or email it usually took 3-5 tries to get a someone to come out. Things would work for some times a day, some time not even that. Then right back out and again I would have to go thought the trouble of trying to get them back. I paid over 2400 for this "awesome" Door bell system. That they have never installed on any ones home and after a year and several visits still does not work. The would talk about integration of my Amazon Alexa's with the system and never did. My door locks are ridiculously un reliable, kinda like this company. I do not want say that they were bad people, They have some great guys. It is just a very poorly run company with a terrible product, and even worse follow up/follow through. read more

Loved the work that RDS provided. They helped through the entire process of the selection, installation, set up and trouble shooting of everything I was looking for. I now have an awesome set of outdoor speakers that allow me to stream music from my phone. Nathan helped me select a great tv along with soundbar that they mounted above my fireplace. I was having connectivity issues with my smart tv to the Internet, Nathan took the extra time to go through my wired and wireless system until everything was working. This is above and beyond the mounting of my tv and speakers. He made sure I was completely satisfied before he considered the job complete. We got multiple bids on our residential audio/video set up because it was a large job and we wanted to do our due diligence. When we decided to go with someone else, the owner of Technology Interiors emailed my husband what I can only describe as an adult temper tantrum that ended in him stating he didn't want any further communication from us. Technology Interiors actually came in with the lower bid (when combined with a security system we did separately) but I'm so glad we gave our business to a competitor. I put in a home theater upstairs in my house. It included a 70″ TV and originally 7 or 8 leather theater seats, 4 or 3 in the front and then 4 on a tier in the back. It also included a bar in the back with a bar top. Also, they hung the TV and did the sounds system. They set high expectations saying they could do all the work. What I ended up with was a rough tier built with some 2x8s and some plywood (not a problem) and then some 2x4s constructing a half wall to put a bar top on. They also drywalled the half wall and of course they hung the TV and did the speakers. That's it. The blueray player they gave me never worked, and the remote control barely works. I was told they would come back "tomorrow" and fix all of that...they never did. What they told me at the beginning is that they would finish everything...the theater seating, the bar top, carpeting, painting, etc. The scheduling was horrendous. By that I mean they wouldn't show up when they were supposed to or they would show up unexpectedly. There was essentially no scheduling. I paid for 2/3rds of it in advance, which was a huge mistake. They owe me money now, but of course no one is returning my calls or emails.I did the carpeting, the chairs, the barstools, and the bar top on my own with other contractors. Long story short, they hung the TV and speakers in a matter of 1.5 days. The "construction" took several weeks...something my father and I could have finished in one day. I was foolish to not have done that part on my own. The problem is not with the sub-contractors, in fact some of them told me to just finish it on my own because they weren't capable of finishing what I wanted (which I stated from the beginning). I was told Tech Interiors was just going to cause me more scheduling issues and upcharge me for everything. I work from home most days, so it's I'm not hard to get a hold of or work with as far as scheduling goes. I've worked with several contractors and this has by far been the worst experience I've ever had. There was no vision, no help, and now they won't give me a refund (only for the things I ended up taking care of myself). I'm not sure how you work with these people if you don't work from home. Oh...and the owner is an "inventor." Tried to get me to take his laptop "invention" with me to San Jose where I work one week a month. It was basically suspenders for your laptop so you can walk around with your laptop. Ummm...there are tables everywhere. Also, he put a projector on the front, because there's nothing better than watching a video move a lot due to the person holding the suspender laptop. I feel bad for the people that work for him. Don't use these people. Seriously, you'd be better off hiring your brother-in-law or some crazy relative to help you DIY style. Why did they get 0.5 stars? Well, there subcontractors were good and I got a nice pen out of the deal. **Full disclosure: They gave some free alarm stuff to get me to pay them monthly. This was not in exchange for the horrible job they did, but a deal made in the beginning (kind of like how they said they'd hang my other TVs...but never did) before anything was done. I'm in the process of switching to AT&T for the alarm system. read more

I had Technology Interiors install audio and video systems throughout my home. They were very eager to make the "sale" and do the installation but now when I need service after the fact they are less than responsive. I called them and spoke to Rick, (the owner) on Monday who told me I would get a call from the tech that afternoon. No call, Tues goes by, no call.On Wednesday I went into their storefront and spoke to the employee working in the store.. He took my info and said I would get a call that day and that a tech would be avail after 4:00 PM to come out on the service call. No call, no tech. . It seems they are too busy "selling" to service what they have sold. Buyer beware !!!!! read more

Zero Stars (or negative if it were possible). As of today, I am still waiting for service to be completed that started in October of 2014. It was only the install of a box into an exterior wall, but they made it much more than that. After drilling a hole from the inside through the outside of the house, it has been an unbelievable hassle to get anyone from this company to react. There have been a total of 6 "No Call, No Shows" to which I have to continuously follow up. I got the run around over and over again from Rick and Ben. If the ability to provide customer service were a mandatory part of doing business, these guys should have been out of business shortly after starting. I wouldn't recommend these guys to walk your dog without messing it up somehow. read more

This company is a complete joke. I spoke with the unscrupulous owner about mounting three televisions in my house. He ranted and raved how his company was local, friendly, hard-working, less expensive than other comparable companies, etc. Therefore I scheduled them to come to my house on a Thursday. I kept calling them on Thursday asking them what time they might arrive. They kept promising, ''We will be there shortly.'' They stated they would send two guys to hang my televisions, one of which is a heavy 70 inch TV. Rick finally called and said he could only send one guy. I asked him how one guy would be able to hang a 70 inch TV by himself. He said,'' Well can you help him hang it?'' HUH??? That's why I called you guys in the first place is to do the work, not me. Ridiculous! Finally after waiting for them all day without them showing up, I called and told them I would give them one more shot to do the work this Saturday. However I called them three times today, and each time was told that Rick was ''out of the office, helping a client, etc.'' Rick never did call me back, so I'm completely done with them and fed up. Beware.....DO NOT use this company for anything. They are nothing but full of unkept promises and obviously unprofessional!! I plan to also rate them on other websites as well. read more
