We purchased an older home less than a year ago and had no idea how often the previous owners cleaned the dryer vent. I booked a dryer vent cleaning via their website and then confirmed everything via email. The appointment was set for a 2 hour window. The team arrived on time and gave a call 30 mins beforehand. They were very polite, respectful of our home (and dog), and worked efficiently. The owner was present as well to check on one of the newer technicians. He was really friendly and kind to his staff. The vent was definitely dirtier than I expected but the team ensured everything was cleaned off the deck/yard before leaving. Pricing was fair and on par with the estimates I found online. This is a great locally owned company. We wanted our vents cleaned before we moved into our house. They had an issue with their truck and had to reschedule but they were in communication and rescheduled just a few hours later. The technician was friendly and explained the process. I wanted to know how much it would be to add on the dryer vent cleaning and they give you quite a savings if they are already coming out to do another service. This was a great team of professionals who came into our home and took care of what we needed most - a complete air duct cleaning. We only planned on using what we'd purchased through LivingSocial. However, after careful review (and good upsell), they easily convinced us to just do the whole house, especially since they were already there. They kept everything clean and cleaned up well after. On November 13th, 2012, I purchased (From LivingSocial-by way of AmazonLocal) an Air Duct Cleaning for 12 Vents, One Main, and One Return for $49. The service was to be done by Midwest Air Solutions out of Northern Indianapolis (Zionsville). On the day of service, the owner himself was coming to my home to complete the service. (I've heard from other people who've used this company that he was not who showed up at their home.) He [the owner] explained to my wife that he was not going to complete the service to my home for what I paid for the Voucher. He continues to explain that he would essentially be losing money if he did the service and that I would be wasting his time and mine. . He went on to say that if he did the service he could only do about half that based on the size of my home. After I spoke with him, he said that this kind of service for my size home would run around $800 or so and I shouldn't expect anyone to do that level of work for that kind of price. Again, I explained to him that my voucher clearly states that I would receive Air Duct Cleaning for 12 Vents, One Main, and One return REGARDLESS of the size of my home. In a nutshell, he refused to honor the voucher as it stated, but instead elected to give me a quote to do my duct cleaning (with and without the voucher). The price quoted was actually only around $250 with the voucher, but the damage had already been done. I will no longer use this company and I will tell my fair share of consumers as well. These guys are great! And care about their customers too. My technician Travis was very helpful when after cleaning our dryer vent we had a strange fire smell. He left me instruction to let him know if that went away. He said it would be on his mind if he didn't. In response to Nikki, I did receive a refund and reported your company to them. Your company on its website,facebook and other social media has before and after pictures showing a filthy trunk line then after you cleaned it it was spotless almost looked new. This is what you advertise and what I expected. Shoving an air whip through the runs break some of it loose but not all of it and trying to vacuum the dirt from a different area does not work especially when all the other supply runs are not blocked off. Yes in my professional opinion as a retired HVAC specialist your company is scamming people of their hard earned money by making them think they are getting a great deal on a professional duct cleaning and your company knows that the system you use does not clean the ducts the way you advertise. IMO you are fraudulent and should be investigated. Maybe even set up by one of the investigative reporters like Raphael Sanchez (who lives in Franklin). Which reminds me I Googled and map quested your "service area, my house is .5tenths of a mile outside of it, thanks for not charging me an $85 trip fee. Which was more then the price of the duct cleaning. Buyer BEWARE. read more
