Not bad at all considering the company is Madison County based. The tech was super friendly and courteous (and didn't at all mind are pups wild behavior upon his arrival). He was able to quickly determine that the issue was our thermostat kicking on the A/C rather than the furnace. From there, he took a look at our digital thermostat and recognized that the issue rooted from some settings misconfigured in an internet reset. He fixed those issues AND rewired the set up to prevent it from happening again. All told, the visit lasted maybe 30 minutes and the issue was diagnosed and repaired. The real kicker? As I pulled out my checkbook, I was told that the entire visit fell under diagnostic service, which was being offered free as part of a promotion they were having! Many other companies wouldn't have thought twice and charged us hourly rates for the rewiring that took a matter of moments or, at the very least, tried to upsell me on a bunch of services we didn't need. So, we greatly appreciate their honesty! So, in conclusion, if you're looking for a good, ethical company with reasonable rates (not to mention awesome deals and promotions), quick service, and courteous techs, then don't think twice about calling Meldon HVAC! Tech, Kevin, came as promised and had the problem, the original and ancient circuit board, replaced quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Comforting to know we have had NARDCO repair our 20 year-old furnace going into another old Indiana winter! July, 30, 2018: After 35 years of good service, our a/c 'bit the dust' a day before we left for vacation. I called NARDCO and a tech was promptly sent out and confirmed a Freon leak bled all the coolant. The owner, Mr. Milligan, cut short a day with his family to home out and quote a new unit. We were leaving for vacation the next morning and he arranged to have a crew with a complete new unit (all components since the old unit would have thrown good money after bad) at the house at 8 a.m. the day after our return. 3 professional, courteous and technically sharp techs had our entire unit replaced in 3 hours. The price was surprisingly low compared to what we expected to pay and our satisfaction, once again, is 100%. NARDO has a customer for life!

They LIED saying they'd be unable to fish out the cap, forced us to pay for the cost of a backhoe that was completely unnecessary, destroyed the yard, and spent three hours fishing out the cap. We're stuck with a paent for over a thousand dollars for a job they did nothing to complete. I'm completely disgusted with all involved especially their plumber Bart Cantrell and their owner Seth. Never use this company. Seth threatened to put a lein on the house if we don't pay for the backhoe that was unneeded. No real work was done. They should've stuck to what they know (HVAC) instead of hiring 3rd party unprofessional bums off the side of the road to claim they can do plumbing too.

We were very pleased by Brad's professional and courteous immediate response. He came within two hours. He diagnosed the broken part, replaced it, and charged us a reasonable fee. I asked him about the one negative reviewer and he explained how that review has been re-submitted each year for five years and sometimes under a different name. It was in a distant city, he did it as a favor, and there wasn't anything he could have done to please that customer. I trust Brad on that one. Griffin Hall from Good Guys HVAC, during a previous repair, noticed a dangerous issue with the main…read moregas line to my furnace. He observed there was a lot of offset tension on the gas line connection to the furnace due its improper installation when the furnace was originally installed. He used a flexible gas line connector to alleviate the issue (see photo) and was very meticulous to ensure the new pipe had no leaks. Furthermore, he applied additional stabilizers to ensure the pipe was properly secured. I certainly appreciate his attention to detail and his outstanding professionalism to make my furnace safer and more efficient. Griffin Halls demonstrated superior skills and willingness to go the extra distance to help his customers brings great credit upon himself and the Good Guys HVAC company.
