I've been banking with Tech Cu for years now, and for a long time I loved banking with them. On paper they beat all their competitors, and for awhile they actually beat them too, in things like customer service as well. In recent years however they have gotten worse and worse, to the point where now they are just god awful and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Every few months, almost like clockwork, my ATM card just stops working (even though I have literally thousands of dollars in my account). No reason, just their crazy overactive fraud detection thought that me buying a coffee two cities over (or something similarly stupid) was criminal activity, so rather than call me and say "did you buy a coffee two cities over?" they just deactivate my card. But then today was the crap topping on the crap cake. Once again my card stopped working, so I called the number on the back. There's no voice menu option for "your card just stopped working for no reason", so I picked the "lost or stolen card" option. Not once, not twice, but three times I was transferred somewhere else and then immediately hung up on. And since today is Sunday there's no operator or any other human I can talk to. In other words, only bank with Tech CU if you like being in line at the store and having your card declined (because we all know how fun it is to have five people behind you and not be able to pay for your groceries), with absolutely no way for you you can possibly prevent it. And if it happens on a Sunday... well you better hope you didn't need to spend money at all that day. And if your card gets lost or stolen on a Sunday? Well there's no possible way to report it (you just get hung up on), so I'm guessing you'll be paying for all the fraudulent charges. TLDR; DO NOT sign up with Tech CU: you will regret it. Personally I'm switching to another bank on Monday. read more

I have not had to call Tech CU and this was the first time. My husband and I had just gotten our tax credit refund for our solar panels and wanted to make sure we were applying it immediately to our loan principle. We were having issues connecting our bank to the app so my husband called the Customer Service number and got Melanie. Let me tell you, working in the Customer Service industry for probably about 30 years, Melanie is the best experience we have ever had. She could've just walked us through the online process, but instead took the time to offer to gather the information needed and submit the payment for us over the phone. We also were unaware of how much we still owed and she graciously offered to find out the exact amount needed (which was a good thing since we were short by about $100) and informed us of such. Although this is probably part of her job, not many customer service agents will "offer" to do things or give information that the customer may not have. Melanie genuinely was attentive and really wanted to help us to make sure we had everything we needed. It's been a long time since we've encountered someone with the attitude and willingness to help a customer. Please recognize Melanie for her outstanding and stellar customer service. I had the pleasure of working with Scott McCreery at Technology Credit Union during my recent vehicle purchase, and I couldn't be more impressed with his service. I have always had incredible service from Tech CU. I have banked there for many years now and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Most recently Timothy T assisted me with a problem I was having. He remembered me from a previous visit, as did another employee. He was very helpful and understanding and assisted me rapidly. I "fired" my previous bank in Milpitas as my checkbook never seemed to balance, no matter how long I spent on it to find my errors. With Tech CU, it always balances to the penny!! I feel very at home at Tech CU. They are very friendly, courteous and aim to please. They have short wait times on personal checks I have deposited (not so with the previous bank) and have an easy (inside but accessible to members) ATM. So if I go in off hours, I feel very safe. They also have many participating Credit Unions all over the US, so I can access my money where ever I go. I would recommend this Credit Union to anyone. read more

For over ten years, I've been a proud member of the Milpitas credit union branch. Throughout that time, the exceptional service I've received from the staff has consistently impressed me. However, a few individuals truly stand out: Timothy, Beneil, Monica, and Ivan. Their dedication and expertise have been invaluable. Timothy, in particular, has gone above and beyond on countless occasions. His genuine friendship, coupled with his professionalism, has made a real difference. He takes the time to understand my needs and consistently finds solutions that leave me feeling confident and satisfied with the credit union's offerings. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Timothy, Beneil, Monica, Ivan, and the entire team. Their attentiveness and focus on my financial well-being have been instrumental in my success. Thank you for everything! Sincerely, Mercedes H. read more

Timothy Tajonera from the Tech CU Milipitas branch has always been a great help even until today when I am out of the country he replies to my e-mails so quickly and answers my inquiries so efficiently. He makes me, my husband, and my parents feel so taken care of with the continuous "WOW" service with our accounts in Tech CU. He handled my recent account inquiry so efficiently by referring me to Charito Litonjua, the virtual banker since I am out of the country. She was so patient and kind with my account concerns and I really appreciate her and Timothy and how they make my life so easier by walking me through the process of my account concerns and transactions. Timothy Tajonera and Charito Litonjua really give the WOW experience with their amazing communication skills, knowledge, patience, and kindness. I am so thankful for them. read more

I have been with Tech CU for over 20 years and found this institution always helpful in every aspect of banking. I have had loans, money transfers, stop payments, lost checks, bill pay delays, but they have always managed to handle the issue and kept me completely satisfied. I have dealt with many different of the folks there from time to time, but one name (Khatija Begum) I consider to be one of the best among all I have dealt with over the years. Khatija is always helpful and understanding. I want to thank the staff there at Milpitas and Fremont Branches, especially Khatija Begum for her professionalism and willingness to help, which is the main reason why I stayed with Tech CU for this long and plan to remain a member for the foreseeable future. Keep up the good work. read more

I've been with this Credit Union since early 1990s when they were in Sunnyvale and known as Technology Federal Credit Union. When I moved to the Tri Valley in the early 2000s, I was glad they opened up a Dublin Branch at the 580/680 corridor. The staff at Dublin branch has helped me so much in the past to buying a car, refinancing, and even buying a vacation home in Maui. I want to point out the Evelyn K from Dublin branch when out of her way to comfort us through the entire process of buying my house in Maui, so much so that she kept me up to date via email and phone. We felt so comfortable with her now going forward that we didnt even question her when she suggested we sign up for a CD. Go out of your way to wait for Evelyn to service your needs!! read more

My husband and I were very pleased with the outstanding service done by Tim Tajonera with our auto loan application. At the very start of my conversation with Tim, I knew that he is an effective and efficient staff of Tech Cu. The cashier of the car dealer really persuaded us to sign up with the auto loan with them and told that they could offer us lower rate interest. However, we affirmed that we had already finalized our auto loan with Tech Cu and would stick to it. He was so sad and we're pressured that they should received the check payment by 8.28.21 We're happy that Tech CU expedited the loan and funded and check was released the following day. A big thank you to Janet Pham as well. Process was fast and stress free. Thank you to both of you!!! read more

I recently worked with Scott at Tech CU for a loan and was blown away by his expertise and service. He took the time to understand my needs and presented me with options I hadn't even considered, ultimately saving me a significant amount in interest. Scott walked me through every step of the process, patiently answering all my questions and making sure I felt comfortable with each decision. He was incredibly responsive and efficient, getting my application processed quickly and smoothly. Overall, I can't recommend Scott and Tech CU enough. They've earned a customer for life! Long time member -- I went to TechCU last week looking for a car loan. Edwin, the person who helped me, easily understood what I wanted to do at the dealership and my needs for a loan. I told Edwin how much I had for a downpayment and we came up with a loan payment plan that worked for me to afford the car I wanted. Within twenty minutes, I was out the door approved to buy a car just across the street. Now, I'm riding into the sunset with no worries about how the payments will work -- they even followed up with a phone call to make sure. A nice touch of customer service. Great experience at TechCU, and I highly recommend trying out the Mazda CX-50. She's a beaut! read more

A very pleasant experience from beginning to end, starting with the first conversation about how we could easily add my Wife to my Checking and Savings account over a Virtual Banking Branch session. Edwin Asis walked us through the ID submittal process and got to know us as he asked us questions to verify my Wife's identity. After that, he quickly setup my Wife on my accounts and appraised us of the legal-side of doing this and what would happen from here. The paperwork we needed to sign was sent to us via DocuSign, which made everything very painless. Overall, Edwin really helped us through (what could have been) a difficult process. Thank you Edwin! read more

This was the first time opening a Bank account in the US and I am glad I selected Tech CU. I researched online and found that the best option to go for was TechCU based on their services and the no.of branches. I decided to go to the branch and open an account and I was very well greeted by Mr.Timothy, my relationship banker. He was very patient and explained to me all the features in detail and answered all my questions. And within 40mins I had bank account up and running along with the activated debit card. So, the first impression has been great! And hopefully, it will continue the same. Once Thanks a lot to Timothy! read more

This is the best TCU branch in the area. I had a few questions and transactions. I had lost my card and received a new one right away, cancelling my lost card. Luckily no transactions aside from my own had posted. Talked to Garrett about summer vacation and ensuring I contact TCU prior to travelling as I would be using my card across several states. I always prefer to deal with bank inquiries in person and this branch makes it hassle free. Garrett was patient with all my inquiries and ensured all my questions answered. I am glad the Milpitas branch is open again..welcome back! Thanks to Garrett and TCU. read more

I have been a TCU member for over thirty years. I have done almost all my visits to the Milpitas branch. Over the years I've gotten to know quite a few of the employees and sadly a few a have moved on to other things. I don't get to see them anymore. Currently I am helped by Tim and another gentleman, they know who I am the minute I walk in and what I am there for. My transactions are quick and they have answers for all of my questions. Other banking institutions have tried to tempt me away, but I will not leave. Tim was very helpful a few years ago, when I was in the market for a new car. read more
