Back in June 2011, my new Scion was rear ended. I took the car to this shop and what a disaster. It took over 3 months to get the bumper fixed along with the the rear clip and rear hatch back. Of course it was the parts that were on back order, so they say. I called around to other shops and they could get the parts within a week. I was stuck there. Finally, the shop called me to pick up my car and I went down there to pick it up and to my amazement, the car was still not ready. The quarter rear glass was installed wrong. The sealant had oozed onto the paint. They had to redo it again. The shop farms this out to a third party. Why didn't the shop inspect the work before they called me to pick up the car? I went back to pick up my car the second time, and guess what, the car was still not done. It was missing the rock guard decals. They didn't have time to install them. Went back a third time and guess what, the car was still not ready. This time the car had a fine layer of a red paint (over spray) all over the hood and front bumpers. Just to remind you, this is a brand new, white car. What was there excuse? Your not going to believe what the shop estimator told me. It was a Hispanic guy who writes the jobs up at the front counter. Really nice guy who will promise you the world. He had the nerve to tell me, "that the red paint came from next door. That the business next door is in the furniture painting business and the red paint was in the air and must of landed on my paint." Well, if he knew that, why was my car left outside near that supposedly furniture painting business? Why aren't all their cars covered outside? It's a bunch of bull. The funny thing is, is that they were painting a red SUV the day before, I saw it. This shop doesn't have a proper paint booth. At least they didn't last summer. It is basically a block wall stall with a big curtain that they close behind the vehicles. Real shops have a paint booth that is a controlled environment that minimizes dust to get onto the paint. They took the car back and here we go again. They had to wet sand the paint to get the over spray off. When I went back a fourth time, guess what the car was still not completed. They made me wait for them to install some plastic pieces that were still missing from underneath the car and the decals were still not installed. I finally had enough. I called my insurance back and pulled the car from them and took it to another shop to redo their work. Be careful with your car there. Unless you have the opportunity to be there to inspect the work, I wouldn't give them my bicycle to paint. They will probably screw that up too. read more
