It's rare to find business establishments that are ethical and truly care about their customers. This place is one of rare ones! I have had a pleasure of doing business with them twice. Nick (the owner) and his team from Real Auto Body, are truly amazing people and know what they do! The first time they took care of me was a couple of years ago, when my car was rear-ended at a stop light by a lady who was noticeably high on something. Then recently, I had a scary road-rage incident with a lady who seemed psychologically unstable. This lady and I were both merging from two lanes into one. I was in front of her and as I was slowing down because of the traffic in front of me was slowing, she was deliberately honking at me. I checked on my mirror to see what's up with this lady, and I can see her visibly upset. I honestly don't know what I did to prompt her from reacting that way since I was only trying to drive as careful as I can. Anyway, she proceeded to speed up, drive in front of me, cut me off at a parking lot, and stopped her car in front of me. This lady got off her car and started yelling racist comments at me and threatening me. She forcefully opened my door to try to attack me and that resulted in my door handles being broken. I was shaken! I now have PTSD from that incident forever! I couldn't believe crazy people like that exist, but unfortunately, they do! However, great people exist too! Nick (the owner) and his team were amongst them! Since my car was 11 years old, my car dealership had discontinued manufacturing the door handles and even if I ordered it directly from them (it would have taken me 6 months to receive a replacement). They were able to find door handle replacements for me in just a few weeks and were able to fix my car relatively sooner! Furthermore, since the incident was not considered a "collision," but a damaged deliberately caused by another person, my insurance did not cover any of the expenses to get my car fixed! Hence, I had to pay out of pocket from my own wallet..This is when my experience with Real Auto Body gets better. I paid my down payment online to get my car fixed, when it was time for me to finally take my car in to get it fixed, I asked to pay for the remaining balance. Nick, and his team from Real Auto Body's response left me almost in tears! He declined to let me pay the rest of my car repair fees and said, "you've been through a lot!" So, I say this with careful consideration that it is extremely rare that business establishments value the quality of work, services they provide, and their customers! There is a difference between service and hospitality and the people at real auto body do them both exceedingly well. When I got into an accident I quickly searched for a body workshop to come and fix my car and this place popped up, I didn't think much of it and sent a request form in, and then a few other places. I got a call within 2 hours asking when the best time would be to pick up the car, and I scheduled a pick up time there and then for the next day. They have their own pick up service and were very hospitable by picking up my car at my own house! I didn't have to worry about getting a ride back home, it was nice and convenient and the whole process took ~5 minutes. Throughout the entire process which was very quick, I got updates and Ruby was super super sweet and helped me out with any questions that I had. She also spoke with the other insurance company that was involved that was giving me trouble and figured things out FOR me. It was amazing. The loaner vehicle was very clean and very nice when i was given it, and that process was very smooth as well. They gave me a very good quote and it was a great value getting EVERYTHING fixed on top of any surprise repairs. When I received my car back they gave me a surprise baggie and a really nice note. Real Auto Body is hands down the best Tesla collision repair body shop in SoCal. My Model Y was hit by a careless motorcyclist inside a parking garage, which resulted in damage to my fender and passenger doors. Like with any accident, after reporting it to insurance, I was given a list of body shops that my insurance works with directly. I had previously gone through my local Caliber Collision; however, my preferred location wasn't certified to perform repairs on Teslas... so I started looking for an alternative body shop on Yelp and Google. Almost all of the body shops within a 25-mile radius with solid reviews weren't certified to work on Teslas through insurance. What!? I was honestly about to give up. I even considered taking it to Tesla Collision--but the reviews... yikes. Then I came across Real Auto Body. I'll admit, their website is pretty minimalist--kind of like our Teslas--but that's fine! The first thing you notice is their $500 gift card offer, which is legit. Then you start seeing the awesome perks: a Tesla loaner delivered to your front door when they pick up your car, concierge service every step of the way, and guaranteed quality repairs for as long as you own your vehicle. Awesome. But I was skeptical. It sounded too good to be true. What's the catch? Fake Google reviews? Nope. Are they going to swap my new battery for a refurb? Also nope. Real Auto Body is the real deal. My experience with them was nothing but excellent. That said, here are a few minor annoyances that could be improved in the future: I noticed through the Tesla app that on two occasions they let my car discharge below 20%--a big no-no, per the Tesla warnings when this happens. The loaner Model 3 they provided had a lingering smell of "older lady perfume" from the previous customer. Had to run the heater with the windows down for a few days to get rid of it! The loaner Model 3 comes with a speed limit of 85 mph. That kind of sucks, but I guess it's understandable. In the end, what mattered most to me was getting my car repaired properly--which Real Auto Body absolutely did. I got to work with Ruby, who was amazing at providing updates and answering any questions along the way. She also handled all the dirty work with the insurance company for me! I also had the pleasure of meeting the big boss, Nick--really nice guy! He personally picked up and returned my car. You can tell just by speaking with him that he's passionate about his business and its reputation. 1000% recommend Real Auto Body to any Tesla owner in need of collision repair after an accident. read more

I think that one aspect of providing good service is to be able to suggest an alternative when someone calls and you're not able to help them. I have a car that has some dings that I'd like repaired, but the damage would not be covered by insurance and would come out of my own pocket. I called Real Body for their help and was informed that "unless my project was covered by insurance, they could not help me." OK, so I asked if they could recommend someone. Their answer was, "No. You should just google it to find someone, or call around." "THAT is exactly how I found YOU," I replied. I asked if anyone at their shop could help or recommend an alternative, and was told again, no. I realize that our world revolves around the insurance companies, but when a customer wants to use a resource that is highly praised for their work, and is willing to pay cash, it would seem they might at least be willing to discuss working together. An idiot ran into my car (Tesla M3) in February and it was a challenge finding a shop that could take in my car right away. I made the best decision coming to Real Auto Body. Total repairs were estimated at 3-3.5 weeks and they were accurate. The repairs came out looking very clean and my car was even nicely detailed. The worst part about being in a minor collision is dealing with insurance. The liability was on the other guys insurance, but it was a headache so I had to go through mine. Ruby was exceptionally patient and understanding and helped ease any of the concerns I had regarding the entire process. She also kept me informed through regular texts. She made this process 1000x easier than working with the insurance directly and even found ways to save me money with my deductible and glass repair. Nick (manager or owner?) was also helpful and I can tell they truly have done the work to understand how to repair Teslas - whether it's external damage or software related. My insurance wanted me to go through one of their "pre-authorized" body shops, but I definitely made the right decision in choosing Real Auto Body. All I can say is "Wow" about Real Auto Body's service. I'm in a bit of disbelief since the customer service was amazing. There's no out of pocket payments you need to make. They gave you $500 discount on the deductible. And they took care of my Tesla super well. I'm one of those guys that hasn't gotten into an accident in over 20 years, and wasn't sure what exactly to do after the accident. Especially with Teslas it is super hard to find a body shop that is capable and will take your car. I called a few shops recommended on the Tesla site, and they didn't want to take my car. I stumbled upon Real Auto Body while doing my search for a repair shop. Was a tad skeptical at first since it sounded too good to be true. After filling out the form on their website, Nick called me immediately, and came over to my house to pick up the Tesla within the hour. He works with a network of extremely reputable Tesla repair shops, and he brought my car from Orange County to Burbank for repairs. The repairs took about a month and a half since the parts are hard to come by. But as soon as it was done, Nick gave me a call, and brought back the car from Burbank to OC on that same day. The repairs were excellent, and it looks brand new. On top of all this amazing customer service, he will give you $500 off of your deductible. When the repair shop called me on the day my car was done, they asked for the insurance deductible, and told me because I went through Nick, I only had to pay $500 of my usual $1,000 deductible. His service is amazing. It's one of those businesses that you dream to exist, and he made it real somehow. Just to get an idea of my damage, I am attaching a picture of it. I was offered to have someone come to my location to pick it up on a flatbed as part of their normal service. The communication was excellent. This was the easiest process I have ever gone through. I was in a rear-end collision on the way to visit my family for Thanksgiving and, of course, the person did not have insurance. Haven't written a Yelp review in a while, but this place has truly outdone themselves and they are so deserving of a million stars, not just 5! I was in an accident in November and no other body shop would take my car for at least a month- Real Auto Body came and picked it up the next day. Ruby kept me up to date every step of the way by texting me every Monday and Thursday. They do a really extensive inspection so they can get an accurate estimate of cost, and gave me a breakdown of it as well. The insurance company ended up totaling my car, and Ruby and Real Auto Body were so supportive. They scheduled a time for me to come pick up my belongings, and Ruby gave me tips for working with insurance, getting a good settlement, and even sent me estimates for a good price for my car. After my nightmare experience at ACG of Whittier, Real Auto was a 180-degree turn-around; they kept me informed, emailing or calling every few days; they delivered my car to my driveway in immaculate condition; they always had someone familiar with the details of my repairs...no leaving unanswered messages; they even left a little gift bag on the front passenger seat. And when they sent me down the street for repair they don't do, the other shop was waiting for me and familiar with my situation...they started working on my car immediately (ACG of Whittier had my car 3 months, tried to soak the insurance company $14K for "dismantling and storage" fees, "lost" and broke parts adding up to $800 in replacement costs, and tried to have me trespassed off their property when I argued it with them...worst experience 40 yrs of driving!!!) This is a long over due review but nonetheless the best service I have ever received at an auto shop! I've had work done at several auto shops but none compare to Real Auto Body! I want to thank Nick and Ruby for doing everything possible and I mean everything to get my car fixed in a timely manner. Ruby went above and beyond to get my insurance settlements fixed with Allstate. Her endless support made my auto repairs a lot smoother than I anticipated. Allstate made it almost impossible to get a logical estimate repair cost and was causing so much hassle to get it resolved. Ruby never backed down and represented me better than my own insurance! Because of this I will be canceling my Allstate policy and will always refer everyone I know to this auto shop. I can't thank them enough for their excellent work and time on my car.
