Okay, so my fathers 1995 Acura legend had the power window blow out today. We weren't sure what to do so we stopped in to see if they fixed power windows and they do, but they can't get the parts... So Will(the tech) didn't charge us a thing to pull off the door panel and we were able to check it out to see if it was really the issue.... He said if we can get the parts it's 75 bucks for the installation. I have the feeling he will see us very soon to finish the job! Great customer service. Thanks Will!!! read more

I've gone to these guys twice. The first time was a door window replacement after someone smashed it and stole my laptop. I know that it can be hard to adjust a frame-less window to eliminate wind noise and get a good seal. Seeing as they didn't bother to torque the retaining bolts, I doubt they put any effort in getting it to seal properly. Luckily, I wasn't on a road trip when the glass came loose. It did give me a chance to learn how to install and adjust the glass myself. The other time was for a rock chip. First, they didn't bother taking the time to fill the crack with enough resin. So, I still have a chip, except now it can't be fixed because there's no way to get more resin in the chip. I suspect their half-assed job will require me to get a new windshield within the year. Second, they made it worse by introducing a crack. A crack they didn't notice until I pointed it out. For their botched job and introduced crack they decided to drill a stop at the end of the crack. They filled half of the stop with resin without bothering to fill the crack. There was a bit of spillage into the crack, so now there's nothing to be done to fix it correctly. That's not just my opinion, it's the advice of an expert that specializes in cracks and chips. They seem satisfied to leave me with a windshield in worse shape than when I arrived. Looking at the paperwork they had me sign, it clearly stated that cracks can develop during or after the repair. It also said, in the case of a crack, the cost of the repair would be refunded. A guarantee that they seemed oblivious to. I went back and asked them about their guarantee. They started to talk about the windshield not being a "total loss". I had to point out there was nothing in the paperwork about the windshield being a total loss. I think it him agreeing to give me back my money had more to do with the optics of arguing terms of service in front of a full lobby than a sense of pride or decency. The way I see it, there's only two possibilities. Best case, they are well meaning but incompetent due to poor training. Worst case, they consciously do poor work so you'll need more expensive work done in the future. I'd like to believe it's the former. read more

Experience with Techna glass was subpar they had a radio promo for $99 windshield replacement on 1280 the zone that turned out to be bogus they only offer that price on special windshield glass replacement being as it was I still scheduled the appointment got to the store thy had 3 guys sitting in the shop not one of them could drive me to my shop which is a mile and a half away from them stating insurance reasons I run a business myself and all I needed was a little accommodation. that's way I will be going to there competitor offering better price better service. read more

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable! I had a rock chip and needed an oil change. I thought I'd get it taken care of at one spot (Grease Monkey), but they turned me away due to my Land Rover being "a difficult windshield to fix". Techna Glass in Bountiful took great care of me. The employees were friendly, professional and made sure I was comfortable with a fresh bottle of water while I waited! I was in and out in 20 minutes. Hopefully I won't have a need for future repairs, but if I do.. lI'll be back for sure! read more

Received an internet discount but then the price was raised because the window had to be obtained from somewhere else. The technician works alone so gets very annoyed when the phone rings or a customer walks in seeking help. Online quote was $145 and I ended up paying over $239 and THE WINDOW DOESN'T EVEN ROLL UP. I was told to go and order an additional part from my dealership. Didn't even notice my cracked windshield or offer to tint the broken window I was replacing. He's too busy. Another customer came in and the tech just handed him the phone saying "I'm here alone so I don't have time to help you." That's the second time I have dealt with this tech and the service was the same both times - very put out by us annoying customers who aren't as smart as him. If there were a lower rating than 1 star, I'd post it. Online booking discount was not honored when I got there because it was an Audi and they are apparently harder to work on. The tech seemed generally annoyed to be doing the work on the passenger window. Spent 2 hours on it and it wouldn't roll up all the way. He told me it had a damaged internal part and that I would need to go to the dealership to get that part. I did so and after they tried 3 different possibilities came to the conclusion that the after market glass was the problem. So now I am out the $220 I paid for the technaglass window AND I get to pay almost $1000 for the work the dealership had to do to fix the technaglass work. Horrible customer service. I was already having a rough start to my morning when I got a rock chip while on the freeway. I took it in to Techna Glass right away already upset. They got me in & out in not even 10 minutes and said it was on the house. I can't thank them enough, they honestly made my day that much better. Fast service and very kind workers. Came in today with a 9am appointment. They checked me in...then after waiting there 15 minutes, they came back and said that the glass they were going to install was broken. What? Isn't there some way to check this BEFORE the vehicles arrive? If you have a list of installs for the day, is it too hard to spend 3 minutes inspecting all of the required glass for the day BEFORE customers start arriving? Thanks a lot Nick. If I could choose to not give a star I would. I needed a window replacement for my Ford Expedition. I ordered it Saturday around 11 am they said it would be there for an 8:00 am appointment Monday. I set it up for the appointment. Monday morning I go drop it off 40 mins later they call me saying the windshield has not come in yet and that they are booked all day I'd have to come in tomorrow. I schedule another appointment Tuesday 8:00 am. I drop it off and get another call 10 mins after leaving. I come back and they tell me they still don't have the correct windshield. I'm done wasting my mornings trying to get a simple replacement done. I recommend never going here they are very unprofessional. I will not go back here. Maybe there are better places around the valley but this one is awful here on 400 north in bountiful. read more

After my review they contacted me and fixed the problem. Refunded me the $45 difference and made it right. I think for the future they should have the price in writing and explain all charges and discounts to you before they start the work to avoid any confusion. read more

We received a $30 coupon from the place doing our safety inspection. We checked them out online and they had a base price of $154.95 and then a discount of $20 if you booked online. Since we wanted to use coupon we went down to the location. They jacked the price up to $184.95 when we arrived. They said it was because someone had to actually come to the desk and help us. I was very pleased with the customer service! I experienced an unusual amount of wind noise after Techna Glass replaced my windshield, so I called and was told to bring my vehicle back for a look. After their staff looked at the windshield they determined that the installation was a little off, so they replaced the windshield and added an additional piece of trim along the top edge to improve the appearance and wind noise. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is that the original installation was a little off to begin with, whereas had it been done perfectly I wouldn't have had to test their customer service. But with the customer service they have there's very little risk in getting your windshield here because they proved to me that they'll do whatever is needed to make the customer happy. read more

I received the most awful service yesterday at the bountiful location. I was extremely disappointed in their customer service. I made an appointment to get my windshield replaced well in advance. I showed up and prepaid for my windshield because I had another appointment and wasn't sure I would be back by closing time. I received a message that they didn't have my windshield in stock and they would need to keep my car till next day. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I tried calling their phone line 3 times and left a voice message that I needed to get my car that night. I showed up right before closing and the gentleman was such a jerk! He LAUGHED IN MY FACE! I just asked what happened as to why my appointment wasn't just canceled in advance vs 30 minutes after dropping my car off. He replied to me and said this wasn't bad it could be worse and take a few weeks to get a windshield from the dealership! HE NEVER APOLOGIZED!!! I expected to at least get a simple sorry.... NOTHING.... I said in the future it would of been nice to get a heads up. I still don't understand how hard it is when my windshield size was in the computer system?!? he continued laughing and then had the balls to tell me to have a good day?? So ridiculous... I WILL NEVER GO TO TECHNA glass again! so disappointed. Your staff needs a good long class about customer service and how a simple I'm sorry could go along long ways. He didn't even offer to make another appointment or call when the size got in. At least I got my money back. I was very nice and didn't deserve that treatment... but no one does.. read more

Waste of time. Booked appointment online, website advertised a $25 discount, only got $20 off. Went to appointment only to find out the location wasn't even open. Called customer service and they offered me an appointment at a location in another county. That location didn't have my windshield however, so they could only offer me an appointment at that location the next day. Really disappointing experience. Between this run-a-round and the other reviews I have read... I think I will be avoiding Techna Glass all together. read more

Would not recommend this location. I honestly question if they know what they're doing. I had to bring my car back multiple times for different reasons. 4 to be exact. The first time was because of a loud squeak coming from multiple spots. They had to replace the windshield because it broke pulling it out. Soon after that install I noticed a major leak when it rained. I took it back and they said they fixed it. After that trip back I noticed my molding folding up on both corners of the windshield to the point were it almost came off completely. I took it back and they re did it. The guy even told me that they were using the wrong silicone on a lot of their vehicles. ???? After all of that last week we noticed a leak again. I was so frustrated I called their main line and decided to try another location. My wife took it to the Sandy location and so far no problems. It was such an inconvenience that I felt that it was necessary to write a bad review. I don't recommend the Bountiful location. read more
